  7. That might explain why he said what he said previously about jumping into certain conflicts that are far away from Panjab. That really worries me. I'm surprised no one else is concerned about this. Apnay have a history of getting used and abused like gullible kids in this way. I hope we don't go through that again. We can't afford it.

  8. I am so glad he won, but just breaks my hearts that it takes this more blood/tears/ for apne so get some senses... my concern is they will trap him/ 'mystery death' esp him being of age. We need powers houses behind him. But who will support his party How much impact can Simranjit Singh Maan have ? What is he capable to do with his power?

  9. This is a big victory for the Panth, not so much electorally, but more so as the flag of defiance has been planted once more inside India's Parliament. I truly believe Guru Maharaj works in ways we can’t understand. Nobody thought entertainers would be leading a rejuvenation in Panthic politics, but it happened! First Deep Sidhu and then Subhdeep Sidhu [Mossewala], both contributed in ways perhaps even they were unaware of at the time. The youth of the Panth is coming together and coming back to Guru’s Charn. Even though there are multitude issues with structure and hammering-out of policy, this victory is the anchor the youth badly needed. Now they have a chance to build back true Panthic politics and get rid of the latest cancer in the form of Kejriwal/Raghav chadda et al. Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji maharaj. Please guide your Panth into the future.

  19. Before we get carried away. I just something I found quite relevant here: No matter how noble your aims are, you have to work with the sharks. If you try to change too much at once, the sharks who are embedded in the system will band together and try to crush you. They wish to maintain the status quo.

  24. This election can be a turning point. These AAP waale had become very egoistic. Were abusing mann sahab on twitter yesterday and saying no one in sangrur even knows who mann is and that he wont even get 10k votes. Now they are all quite. Doesn't matter who wins but atleast these people have been shown their aukaat.

  31. Not just yellow. Blue and yellow. ਬਸੰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਨੀਲਾ. The Nishan Sahib used to be (and still is in some gurdware and Dal Panth) blue after Guru Gobind Singh ji made it that way.

  32. We need better, media savvy Sikhs. They need to have special training to be able to answer these typical questions and the approach these kind of people. The BBC has an agenda and propagates it. You need to challenge it accordingly.

  33. Sunday Morning Live, talk about Interfaith Marriage. Poor Jagmeet Singh of Basics of Sikhi could not get a word in edgewise. He also mentioned about what is happening in Punjab and that the BBC dis not report it. If anyone wants to see the kind of organisation BBC has become, watch this programme. The sooner this despicable organisation gets stripped off it's licence fee the better!

  34. I have always wondered how to implement a change in Golak reliance and the arguments for control of it ... no golak no power games/politics just read this , made me smile https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=375746569284717&set=a.188247924701250.1073741833.100005481313139&type=3&theater

  35. I understood that the golak was purely for assisting the weak and poor , bheta of shahstars and horses was seperate for fauj, and aanach , dhallan , langar saman was also seperate .. We should insist that maximum should be spent on outreach and education minimum on maintenance and mortgages , this may put paid to the whole industry of building massive hangar like gurdwarey just for show weddings ...when normally minimal space is needed for day to day sangat

  37. We have to be careful of the OP because I would guess that you could easily find a bunch of apnay/apneean who would sing the other song about how successful their interfaith marriage is.

  38. This is to educate girls who are thinking of joining a muslims gang and selling their sole to the devil. Its about making it aware that this can happen to you. So be aware. I know many girls wont take any notice but if it stops one girl from going down the path of drugs and crime then It is good. we need to expose these girls so that other potential girls can see this is what happens. I personaly dont care about these girls once they do this . They chose their bed now they have to lie in it.

  39. These girls only realise their mistake when its to late. Theres a saying dont try and join a gang to be safe as that very same gang will one day turn on their own. http://www.barkinganddagenhampost.co.uk/home/chef_jailed_for_assaulting_barking_girlfriend_1_4256406

  42. The mere exposure effect, also known as the familiarity principle, states that the more we are exposed to something, the more we come to like it. This applies equally to both objects and people (Miller, 2006). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mere-exposure_effect We should be careful who we associate with. This goes for girls spending to much time in the company of males and building a romantic connection. It can also go for any situation where the more we are exposed to something good or bad the more we tend to accept and like it. Even if it is bad. We should all be aware of the Mere exposure affect.

  43. What I don't get about that is that sulliyan more often than not grow up in an environment that is infinitely more belittling or condescending or even oppressive towards females, yet they rarely have half the complaints that apneean do, why is this? I don't think we should eliminate ego on part of apneean (or apnay for that matter) when they do stupid stuff. Just continually pointing at familial failings doesn't explain a lot of what I've seen. As well as the insecure, sullay also target the polar opposite: those jumped up sisters who might be a little pretty and have grown up spoilt, and curiously feel nothing they do is wrong and have contempt for their own menfolk. You know the type.

  44. The mere exposure affect should be taken seriously because it means when we hang around someone for a long time. Be that person good or bad we become attached to them in some strong way. Thats why we should chose our company very wisely. Many girls become attached to drug dealers, criminals ect. Not because they are special.. its the mere fact that they have spent so much time with them that they have created the familiarity mere effect which creates a strong attachment. Thats why many girls dont know why they are so strongly attached to someone .they dont know its a big part to do with the mere exposure effect.

  45. when I was younger I did not have blessing of sangat in my neighbourhood yet, whenever I started a new job or study place I would meet with people who were interested in doing bhagti and guftagoo from other backgrounds and together we strove on our respective paths . Later on, I actually read Gurbani which made me realise what was happening , no matter where we are in our lives Waheguru gives us a chance to thrive in sangat of true seekers i.e. sikhs it is the label of 'religion' that makes us fall into the trap of predjudice, it is the karni of the folk and their ethics, their love for Akal Purakh, their true acceptance of humanity. It is true the number of adharmi lok are posted in responsible places within our learning centres, places of worship is shameful . Guru ji made us citizens of the universe not just where we were born ... and because of that we have to spread the love and knowledge to accompany the journey to mission goal
