  3. I haven't been there but I would say it's a mix between Nanaksar, mostly Nanaksar, and a little bit of Dal Panth. Singhs over there do Dusshera programs and do full Chaupai Sahib as well.

  6. Sant Baba Mani Singh was a Mahapurakh born and raised in Smethwick. My family is from Smethwick and they used to tell me he used to be in bana 24/7. He passed away fairly young. Regarding the Akal Bunga connection, I guess he took inspiration from the puratan name of Akal Takht. I doubt there is any real connection beyond that. He basically restored an old church and turned it into a Gurdwara.

  7. end of the day make sure you read Chaupai Sahib properly during Sodar Rehras Sahib paat before even considering reading full Anand Sahib during Rehras. We need to fix the damage done to Chaupai Sahib and Rehras by anti-dasam supporters like Bhasauria! Make sure to read Kripa karee hum par jagmata.. ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੀ ਹਮ ਪਰ ਜਗਮਾਤਾ and Arril before even THINKING ABOUT extending Anand Sahib. I would also encourage everyone to look at how much additional bani is added to Chaupai Sahib at Hajoor Sahib and Budha Dal. Read or listen to a sampooran Rehras with much dasam bani, and then consider adding full pauris Anand Sahib. I usually listen to long Hajoor/Hazur Sahib Rehraas on PTC Simran on Youtube. Sangat jee, why not give this a go??

  9. In the year 1510 AD, Taajudin Naqshbandi, a Persian/Arabic writer met Guru Nanak Dev ji during his journey through the Middle East. For the next two years, Taajudin lived with the Guru and kept a detailed eyewitness account in a manuscript titled Siyahto Baba Nanak Fakir. After taking a leave from Guru ji, Taajudin deposited the manuscript in a library in Medina. In the year 1927, Mushtaq Hussein a young man from Kashmir, while studying as a moulvi in Medina came across Taajudin's manuscript. The manuscript changed Mushtaq's life, and he converted to Sikhism and and went on to become famous as Sant Syed Prithipal Singh. While in the Middle East, Mushtaq visited several places built in the memory of the Guru and spoke to Arabs who were still Guru ji's Sikhs. The book ‘Taajudin’s Diary’ is based on the unpublished autobiography of Sant Ji. The book retraces the transformational journeys of Taajudin and Mushtaq Hussein following in the footsteps of the great Guru. This remarkable must-read book references historical documents and monuments little-known in Sikhism. The appendices in this book also contain information on lesser-known travels of Guru Ji in Nepal and Himalayas. You can get a PDF version of the book Taajudin’s Diary by emailing to ijSingh6002@gmail.com or by downloading from the link below: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1RZarO1zbeiH7OmgxJ1pjTJ-Z4LN38PuJ

  10. This is good and all. However, I would be wary of things like this. If what is mentioned did happen, wouldn't there by other sources, such as Meccan and Arabian sources. The Arabs were very good at documenting whatever took place, and they even documented many individuals they personally deemed as "false prophets." I am unable to find any mentioning of this story in any other non-Sikh source. Also the transliteration and translation for the Arabic quote is wrong. It transliterates as "rabiy al'imam hadrat nanak, aklmuh 'ana fiha muslim" meaning that even in Imam Hazrat Nanak, one can see a Muslim. Things like this make me even more doubtful.

  12. Quick thing The Sau Sakhi split into 5 was actually 500 sakhis written by Baba Ram Koer which has been misplaced. The remaning 100 that stayed with one of the 5 singhs has been produced by the patiala Museum. I have it upstairs some where If you wish to purchase the Steeks of the Sri Sarbloh Granth edited by the Buddha Dal you can purchase it from DTF Bookstore in the UK. The best steeks on the Sau Sakhi are by Giani Partap Singh Mehta produced by Chattar Singh Jeevan Singh. They are available from the Sikh Missionary centre in Southall. This again is a set of two books for around £8. Very good Sunnybondsingh is your uncle Sant Kartar Singh Ji Bombay walae who were a vidiarthee of Sant Kartar Singh Ji Bhindrawalae? If so can you pm me please

  13. GuruFatehJi. KhalsaJi, These prophesies are against Gurmat teachings, so their sources are of suspicious nature. They have either been crafted by over-zealous Sikhs (after Guru Gobind Singh's passing away in 1708, Guruji would have denounced them in his lifetime) or Brahmnical elements. Never get distracted by such writings because they are sugar-coated. Who knows what lies within. They are just to make Sikhs feel happy and detrack from following the teachings of Dhan Dhan Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj. If such issues are not supported by Gurbani or reflect the nature of our Gurus, keep you guard, lest you lose your way from the real Sikhi. CONSIDER THIS: 1. The so-called prophesies were not even mentioned, let alone supported, by the successor Gurus. 2. Would the so-called prophesies not be of alarm to Aurangzeb? They were never once metioned in our Sikh history, especially during the times of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji. 3. The so-called prophesies would have been mentioned in Guru Gobind Singh Ji's 'Zafarnama' because it was addressed to Aurangzeb himself and the Emperor was refered to in the 'prophesy'. 4. Baba Nanak was the founder Guru of Sikhism and I believe he would not speak of anything other than highest - the practice of truth. He only preached the practice of a righteous life, of meditation on God and sharing our honest earnings with the needy. His entire life was testimony of it. What followed him was the evolution of the message of Sikhi, one Guru after the other, until it (Sikhi) reached it's final form - the Khalsa. 5. The so-called prophesies belies t he very message of Guru Nanak and Guruji never imposed his beliefs and message on anyone. What was true, he wrote down, as inspired by Waheguru. Those are the Shabads that we read in Gurbani today. 6. Finally, why do the prophesies seemingly stop at the Aurangzeb stage or Mughal Raj's fall? What of the rest of the attacks on Sikhi that followed the Khalsa Raj (Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, Partition of Punjab, Blood Vaisakhi of 1978, Attack on Harmandir Sahib in 1984 etc) ? Guruji's vision certainly would not be that limited. These Saakhis are pure nonsense. Don't waste your energy on even thinking about them, they will mislead you. Don't bet your Sikhi on it, please. Follow and search the wisdom of Gurbani only, that is the Hukam of Guru Gobind Singh Ji - 'Sabh Sikhan ko Hukam Hai, Guru manyo Granth'. GuruFatehJi. L*

  14. Sat Sri Akal: The above texts are not accepted by everyone as authentic texts. They seem to be at opposite with Sikhism's "Sarbat Da Bhala" concept. Nut nothing can be said for sure. Other things at the site are also a little strange. Unfortunately, Sikhism's scholar structure is not at all organized or uniform to present clear views on many things. Hopefully, Sikhism will have a solution to this problem soon!!!

  15. Whaeguru Ji Ka Khalsa Whaeguru Ji Ki Fateh No Veera, it says when sikhi is left only in name, referring to Ranjit Singhs reign. I refuse to accept this "prophecy" for this statement among others as well. Also why would Guru Ji return in human form? He left us with the instrucions of following Guru Granth Sahib as our eternal Guru. Why is it that many insist that the Guru "will return", when our Guru is already with us, is it that these people refuse to accept Guru Granth Sahib? Our Guru is already here so there is no coming back of the Guru since, "Bani Guru, Guru hai Bani" remember this and stay the course. GurFateh Khalistan Zindabad
