  1. Just offering another viewpoint, Punjab has been a traditional Congress stronghold and now it is controlled by the AAP. Both parties are opponents of BJP and would oppose whatever BJP proposes. Very possible that the majority of the protestors were their supporters who were being told to fight for justice bla, bla, bla while in fact they were just political pawns being used to undermine BJP policies and knowing the simpletons we have in our community, they fell for it hook ,line and sinker. This Act was very beneficial for Sikhs especially those living in war torn and terrorist infested countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan. I guess that movie Lal Singh Chadda perfectly showcases these pathetic bunch of umbrella holders, stupid yet arrogant.

  2. Because apne are total food-oos. This law didn't effect Indian muslims in any way, so I don't know why they threw a hissy fit. It just prioritised Hindu and Sikh refugees from places like Afghanistan and Pakistan. Nehru and Gandhi really did mess up big time allowing so many suls to stay behind after partition. Tara Singh for all his failures did at least help get rid of them from Punjab. Can you imagine suls in Pakistan protesting if only muslim refugees were allowed into their country?

  3. Disgusting Suls as usual. Still following the path their miserable rotten ancestors set for them. I would not say the girl wasn't scared in the video or imply in any way that it was consensual. That is the usual talking point of the suls and they have already made videos on youtube claiming just that. She seems disoriented and under duress. Who knows what threats have been issued to her. And she could have been give some sedative or Xanax to zombify her, Pak pharmacies sell everything under the sun and suls are experts at drugging girls. KPK is an Islamist and terrorist infested shithole where formal education of the majority takes place in some militant madrasah, and even the Pak Army finds it hard to control. Feels so frustrating that the only thing we can do these days is hold placards and protest but Kudos to the Sikhs who came out and protested knowing the backlash that could take place.

  4. It's a nation founded on Sharia. There's realistically no reason for Pakistan existing outside of that, and until people understand that, we won't understand that Pakistan isn't our allies.

  5. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-62639233 Jagtar Singh Johal case: UK spy agencies accused of tip-off that led to torture By Frank Gardner BBC security correspondent Published 1 hour ago UK intelligence agencies are accused of tipping off Indian authorities about a British national before his abduction and alleged torture by Punjab police. Jagtar Singh Johal, from Dumbarton, was in India in 2017 when his family say he was forced into an unmarked car. He says he was then tortured over days, including with electrocution. He has remained in detention since then. Successive British prime ministers have raised his case but India's government denies he was tortured or mistreated. In May, Mr Johal was formally charged with conspiracy to commit murder and being a member of a terrorist gang. He will be presented with a full list of the charges against him next month and faces a possible death penalty. Now the human rights group Reprieve has shown the BBC documentation that it says is compelling evidence that his arrest followed a tip-off from British intelligence. Reprieve says it has matched several details relating to his case to a specific claim of mistreatment documented in a report by the watchdog that oversees the intelligence agencies. "In the course of an investigation", says the Investigatory Powers Commissioner's Office (IPCO) report, "MI5 passed intelligence to a liaison partner via the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). "The subject of the intelligence was arrested by the liaison partner in their country. The individual told the British Consular Official that he had been tortured." Mr Johal is not named in the report, but Reprieve's investigators are adamant the facts match his case due to the dates concerned, the lobbying by British prime ministers and supporting evidence detailed in the Indian press. In 2017, the Hindustan Times reported that Mr Johal had "come under the scanner" after "a source in the UK" provided the Punjab police with "vague information" about a key man, "Johal". The Indian authorities accuse Mr Johal of involvement in murders they claim are related to Sikh nationalism, though he denies any wrongdoing.....

  6. Because it didn't offer similar visas to Muslims. But the thing is, Muslims have 57 states they could immigrate to. There are no other Sikh or Jain countries. And only Nepal and India are Hindu countries. Nepal doesn't have the capacity to take care of them.

  7. Pakistan: Sikhs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa protest as Islamists forcibly convert a female Sikh teacher and perform her nikaah On Sunday, her family members knew about the forced marriage and subsequent conversion. The family reached the police station where nobody cared to register their complaint. In another incident of flouting human rights in Pakistan, a female Sikh teacher was forcibly converted by Islamists in Peer Baba of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province of Pakistan on Saturday 20th August 2022. The Sikhs in the KPK province are protesting against this forced conversion. A video of the protests appeared on Twitter on Sunday, 21st August 2022, in which Sikhs can be seen protesting and raising various slogans outside a police station in Pakistan. According to a report by Aaj Tak, a young female teacher from the Sikh community was allegedly kidnapped on Saturday, and on the next day, her family was informed that the young girl is now married to a Muslim person. There is deep resentment in the Sikh community due to this incident. Dina Kaur, a Sikh teacher was kidnapped on Saturday. On Sunday, her family members knew about the forced marriage and subsequent conversion. The family reached the police station where nobody cared to register their complaint. According to the family members, the local police have not registered any FIR and have asked the Sikhs to be silent on this issue. BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa has expressed concern over this incident. Tagging the government of Pakistan in his tweet, Sirsa said, “How can a family silently watch its daughters being forcibly converted and emotionally exploited? This is against basic human rights and we stand in support of the Sikh brothers of Pakistan. I urge India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar Ji to intervene in this matter.” He added, “I urge the External Affairs Minister to hold talks on the issue of minority Sikhs in Pakistan. Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Office is also not paying attention to this. Our earlier tweets on the safety of Sikhs in Pakistan have been ignored.” Persecution of Sikhs in Pakistan Earlier in May 2022, two Sikhs were killed in Peshawar, Pakistan. In that case, a strong protest was lodged by India. At that time, the spokesperson of the Indian Government said, “We have seen reports of the brutal killing of two Sikh traders by unidentified armed men in Peshawar. Sadly, this is not the first incident. Even before this, there have been attacks on Sikhs, a minority community in Pakistan.” https://www.opindia.com/2022/08/pakistan-sikhs-protest-islamists-forcibly-convert-teacher/

  9. Only One reason Sikhs just oppose or support anything opposite of Hindutva forces , BJP. BJP bring NRC CAA so it had to be opposed no matter even if Sikhs are beneficiary. Just look recently BJP supporters strongly protested Lal Singh Chadda and Large number of Sikhs supported it. I think from now onwards Sikhs will watch all bollywood movies because Hindutva forces are planning to boycott bollywood

  17. Marriages in Panjab were quite simple too until NRI's started the extravagance culture. This gradually caught on in other areas.

  18. Our elders discouraged Bhangra too, I never saw them partaking in it. Weddings in India started getting out of hand due to people imitating big fat Bollywood-type parties with performances. Everything was more simple before. Even today, sometimes men and women sit seperate at parties.

  19. So why fight against mughals if the paapi souls were eventually going to kill each other. Why establish sikh towns? Why establish the concept of miri piri if Sikhs are not meant to rule in this world?
