  3. Do these people do this fasting stuff because its fun or because they actually believe fasting will increase their husband's life because I know a sikh lady who used to do this karwachauth stuff with such fervour and then her husband passed away at a very young age. I don't understand are these people celebrating for fun or actually believe in it. Tbh if starving yourself for the entire day is your idea of fun i dont know what to think.

  4. I heard this katha! Giani Jaswant Singh was going in hard on everyone. He was giving the Muslim deras a hard time, too, speaking about how when he sees their functions on TV, he sees tonnes of Amritdhari Singhs at these functions. But, yes, there's a lot of anti-Karvachauth and anti-Rakhri katha around the relevant time of year for each festival. Someone needs to remind our people what our customs are, because I don't think the people remember.

  6. To be fair, this is an issue which is more specific to our ‘freshie’/new arrivals from India. They usually arrive alone/without much family network here. This along with potential grooming of daughters (and bullying of boys and girls ) growing up her are issues that I hope the new arrivals can get into their head ASAP. unfortunately, not many are members here and mainly only post in the ‘Gupta’ section here. But Twitter, Instagram and WhatsApp are used by many and info circulates fast there

  7. I remember when this happened. Anyone who grew up when I did, in this country (who wasn't a closeted wallflower) wasn't remotely surprised. I remember at some point I mentally juxtapositioned how Stephen Lawrence's mother projected herself in the media, and I remember thinking Ricky's mum's accent wasn't helping her - that's the reality. I think Ricky's case was swiftly swept under the rug. But by then it was one of many dubious cases brown folk whispered about. Now we know a lot more about how the police operate (especially in the past), especially when it comes to men and women of colour, and what we know of umpteen shoddy 'investigations' into serious matters - I think we can guess what went on. I mean, these people also covered up for the mass grooming of underage Sikh females - can we expect any better? 8. They were advanced humanoid beings with incredibly human flaws and vices. They had access to technology that deceived primitive humans into believing they were gods. Possibly able to manipulate space and time, and travel vast swathes of the universe. They've gone and they're never coming back. Would any of us remember an ant colony we stepped on one random day in the distant past? Definitely not ancient aliens, though. Inter-dimensional beings but even that's reductive. There's so much in this area of thought that's descended into lazy stereotypes. Much of the paranormal and the supernatural is related to dimensions and frequencies. We are, ultimately, a rather limited and immature species at this period of our development. We really know very little despite our assertions.

  10. Many Gurmukhs have come into this world without being scammed by maya. 10th Patshahi was Dusht Daman previously, but did not get scammed by Maya. Anyone who adheres to the teachings of SGGS will not get scammed. Guru Nanak’s Sikhs will attain the status that even the above three could not reach…

  12. Look at the hate in this one lol. And still some cowards in the community refuse to believe there is a legit problem. Look at the one at 3.03 for instance. Imagine whites going round saying stuff like this, you would be up in arms, but no, because they are black, it's ok. Jokers. This is literally one of thousands of examples, I am not kidding you.

  13. I'm gonna research Sowell more but point taken.
    1 point
  14. Fair point, I should probably do more research on who I quote next time. I'm still fairly new to Sowell and his writings. However, my point still stands that Sowell has important points which cannot be ignored and which DO play a part in what's going on in the Black Community and which are contributing to what we are discussing in this topic. The fact that it's coming from Sowell does not entirely and necessarily make it invalid by itself. Many others (non 'sell out' blacks) are saying this too. Not everything he is saying is incorrect even though yeah I agree, he does seem to downplay a lot of stuff and I should probably not have quoted him (I have to do more research on this btw but you are probably correct). Your last point about having some intelligent grasp of the background context of the community. This is where I sense you are implying Afro Caribbean trauma is the main cause (I may be wrong in my assumption here). What I feel people like yourself (maybe) are still missing is that the main cause of this is what I have said a couple of times in this thread i.e. the blacks cannot be racist rhetoric. This is what's causing this. It's allowing the genuine racists in their community to breed to high levels (every race has them). No accountability and no responsibility regardless of the causes. This is the crucial main part of all of it.

  15. You know you'd be better off making your arguments without having to rope in recognised 'Uncle Toms'. It's not like goray can't wheel out umpteen token, sell-out mouthpieces from amongst our lot (plenty of them!) to undermine anything any genuinely concerned apna or apnee has to say about the state of the panth, especially in relation to our relationship with them (which they readily do!). And I don't think it adds anything to your arguments, actually it does the opposite. When someone has to use a sell out to support their argument - that just takes the wind out of any genuine points they may have in the eyes of anyone who values integrity. Bottom line, no, we shouldn't tolerate cowardly attacks against our community, especially against vulnerable members like females and bazoorags, and we should call it out, at least partially in the hope that some sane people on the other side will see sense and start an internal dialog in their community to rectify things. But we can't do this without having some intelligent grasp of the background context of the other community we are dealing with. You seem to have at least some concept of this given what you've written above. F**k all the Thomas Sowells of the world, and that goes double for any sell out from amongst our lot too. That guy is just like 'our' Rami Ranger - someone to wheel out to undermine his 'own' communities concerns, like a muppet. It's pretty easy to brutalise a people into savagery, and then full on blame them for their animalistic actions. I think we might well be half-way in this process ourselves? Anyway, this helps with context. And no, I'm not excusing any cowardly attacks like under discussion in the OP.

  16. Obviously a socialized healthcare system is not equivalent to marxism. Similarly, the various people and things that you rail against and label as "marxist" are far from actual marxists. Notice that in my post I wrote "marxist" in quotations to mock the way that you refer to anything remotely left-leaning as "marxist." You are like a caricature of a right-wing radio host. Every western social democracy has traditionally been some sort of hybrid of a pure free market system and a socialist system. You enjoy a lot of benefits and privileges that materialized from the efforts of leftists (who you constantly deride) who pushed the UK more towards the socialist end of the spectrum than it previously was. You should visit the US sometime and see what a cesspool it is and maybe you will appreciate some of the things that you have in your country that you take for granted. Alternatively, you can just wait a few years, since the UK's trajectory indicates that it will soon join the US as a race-to-the-bottom country run by corporations and oligarchs with average people living precarious lives and working themselves to death. The UK is on this trajectory because (like the US) it is filled with stupid people who are easily distracted by the culture wars.

  17. Typical American ignorance. Thinks socialised healthcare through taxation is equatable to Marxist policies of equity. Are bin-men agents of a Marxist state? Are the civil service Marxist lackeys?

  18. This is the issue. It's really not a few lmao! I have been aware of this issue for 2 decades and you see hundreds upon hundreds of such posts and comments all over social media. You see scores of blacks defending the racist beating of an old chinese man on youtube. Plus who has said anything about writing them off, that's your issue, you are interpreting this as some sort of weird attack against them. Do you know how many times I have seen Blacks write on youtube, twitter or wherever, 'Indians hate blacks'. 'Most of them hate us'. 'They are all white skin worshipping devils' etc. This is the toxic mindset that is endemic in significant sections of their community and if it is not challenged will only lead to more hateful attacks (it not being the only reason they are attacking us mind you). I have seen this literally hundreds if not well over a thousand times. Why does this not fire you up as much as when Punjabis are highlighting there is a racism problem coming from this community.

  20. What are you waffling on about?
    1 point
  21. SinghPunjabSingh, I said I agreed with your points 1,2,3 and 4. I agree with some of it but not totally. If you really want to open your mind to what's really going on you need to listen to some stuff from Thomas Sowell (he is Black himself btw).

  22. No one including me are not saying 'most'. What we are highlighting is that there is a problem from a subsection of these communities that needs to be talked about without getting shamed for it. It is not limited to 2 out of 50 million African Americans or 'one lone mixed race guy' lol. As DallySingh has pointed out, it differs by area. But there is a legit problem from this community to other ethnic minorities. I have personally experienced racism from Blacks and have had friends who went to war with West Indian and Somali crews over racial issues where the Blacks instigated it. For God's sake, my Sociology teacher even taught the class back when I was in college about a similar case where Jamaicans started attacking Indians (it was actually even included in a textbook from what I remember), the Punjabi boys fought back and ended up with criminal records etc. You can't deny these facts just because 'you have never experienced any of it'. You scroll through youtube videos and reddit, you have scores (I have seen literally close to a thousand over the years) of American born Chinese, Indians and even Mexicans complaining about the most racist experiences they ever encountered were from black guys in school growing up getting bullied with racial slurs and physically attacked, mugged etc. You simply cannot deny this. To do so is evil. The mixed race racism to Asians is also and mainly stemming from the simple fact we are getting a double whammy of prejudice (when they are prejudice that is) from the white side of the family and the black side. You really really underestimate and don't understand how Asians are seen as 'the other'. These two communities will often gang up on Asians together (not talking only gang stuff here, but in general life too, not mixing even in work situations etc). The Somalis used to be attacked and bullied by West Indians when they arrived in this country. But the tables have turned now.

  23. Any sane person can see Jassu has not said anything remotely racist about blacks. Why is it that when Indian Racism to Blacks is highlighted, you will have no problem agreeing with it yet when Black to Asian racism happens, all you can resort to is calling the victims racists? You should be absolutely and utterly ashamed of yourself. May be you are not even Indian but Black yourself? Guys, I knew we were going to have 'the good old intelligent mature thought out response/argument of you guys are racist', I mean I was waiting for it, but this guy has just taken it to another planet, lmao. Oh my days, I am speechless at this point.

  24. I'm not as old school as you, I came slightly after. But I know guys from back then and heard lots of stories, also did a lot of research. That's good to hear those boys are still tough, rough and ready. It's interesting you say that because whenever I look at that generation, who would have grown up around the NF days, many of them seem to have some flair about them that makes them seem much more alpha and 'hardened' then the younger generation (below me) of today. The way they carry themselves is gangster, even for middle aged guys lol. My generation is where it started to go downhill I reckon. You had boys who were aware and 'woke' for Asian issues but they were the minority. I think they are now at an all time low. I think a lot of the younger generation has been brainwashed by extreme left wing politics tbh. But I think if things carry on getting worse and worse, it's inevitable you are going to get an uprising again. You'd hope anyway. The difference and real problem now is cancel culture and social media and how quick it is to cancel, name and shame people whose views don't agree with yours.

  25. I'm so glad you notice that, the difference between the N word and the P word and how it is still sometimes fully spelt out. I literally emailed dailymail about this recently lol. Exactly, I have a half Indian, half English friend and he's always going on about just get educated etc and forget the rest. But look where it's got us. When I show him the type of abuse and mockery we are getting in social media and wherever, he becomes more inclined to agree with me that you gotta fight on all fronts, not just becoming a doctor or whatever and pretending/believing you will be living happily ever after.

  26. So I've been lurking on the forum as a guest for a few weeks and I am absolutely appalled by the response of the far left to this issue. I was actually meaning on starting a similar thread on this topic and still probably will as I have so much to show and say. It's mindsets like SinghPunjabSingh that are actually a part of the problem. The racism from said community is much much more widespread than he thinks as this is happening in the UK too and is not at all limited to a handful of crackheads as suggested. No, this does not mean we should start 'hating' the community (I have to say this because brainwashed people will see this and think it means I am saying it is an excuse to hate them), but it 110 per cent needs to be called out!!! We should be able to call it out without being shamed. You have black drill artists in the UK using 'Paki' in their songs now too which is basically the N word for Asians. You have many racial attacks on Asians from Blacks in the UK let alone the USA (on East Asians and South Asians alike). But as I said, I am working on presenting how bad the issue is and why it is how it is so I am going to be starting a new thread in the coming week or so.

  27. I agree. Plus this strange matter of 'style'. You know I've seen women swooning over Irish accents and demeanour, Jamaican accents, French accents, Italiano accents......I don't think anyone has ever pulled a women because of their Indian accent though?

  29. there are some Singh's who tell me that there is no such thing as black magic it is all fake, others have told me that it does exist but but keeping ur sikhi strong adoing paat etc always protects you from it so there is no need to worry about it. My family and i Believe in the latter. When i was a teenager me and my friends were hanging out after school in the school field. the field on the left side was connected to a back alley. while we were hanging out a car pulled up and motioned us to come close. inside were a man and lady who just told us to take this bag of samosas. we found this strange but took it. for some reason we felt wierded out and just threw them out when we saw the car leave.

Vaheguru ji ka khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh No veerji it is not Vaheguru ji that brings the black magic.Black Magic or White Magic are done by people who have no fear of God.They try to go against Gods will but of course they fail as only God can change his will.As for ghost, being a ghost is normally a punishment. There are normally 2 ways I heard of in which people become ghosts.1st is if they practise magic, then they get punished and become ghosts.2nd is if they commit suicide. Then they become ghosts until the day they were supposed to die. Then they go to Dharamraj. 34. You are correct about there not being any repercussions for these women. We never had our witch-hunt or Salem trials like they had in gora society.

  35. Which all fits nicely into the reality of Punjabi society being matriarchal, because only in a matriarchal society could these acts happen, and there never be any physical consequences for these women. The popular myth peddled here in the West about OUR people is so far removed from the actual truth it may as well be a JK Rowling penned fiction.

  36. Every "Singh" I've come across who's vehemently against other Sikhs becoming aware of matters of the Occult, nine times out of ten has a missus who makes the rounds, undercover, at the various babeh, pandits, and maulvis. ? These khattar pakhandis love grandstanding and lecturing other Sikhs about "bharossa" and how "nothing is greater than Gurbani" yet funny how they don't extend that wisdom to the woman they're married to. Dirty frauds need hanging with their own naala.

Apparently, when it was my first birthday someone threw mungi di daal in-front of the door so my gran phoned up a baba and he told them to hit the daal with a shoe seven times (don’t ask me why) and pick it up (after doing a bit of paath like mool mantar). So she did that and threw the daal in the canal near by. I might have not explained the story as well as I could so bhul chuck maf.
