  1. There are a lot of Sikh owned restaurants here in the London area which are halal. Remember money comes first to apne. Likewise, take a walk down Southall Broadway and you will see countless Sikh owned shops selling Islamic pictures of Mecca and head scarfs. Never in a million years will you see muslims selling Sikh related items.

  2. Very interesting how the Hindu population is also increased quite considerably. It is no coincidence that the significant increase of Hindus has impacted the Sikh political protests. Whereas previously Sikhs in Canada had little open opposition (my observation ) , there does seem to be an influx of Hindutva types in Canada. It does seem that the India Hindu groups have begun to assert themselves in western countries like Canada and Australia. I suspect when the UK census comes out, the Hindu population is going to be a lot higher. This seems to have played a part of the increased Hindu assertiveness against the muslims in Leicester. A lot of the Hindu mob like behaviour in the UK (as per some reports ) come from more recent migrants and they seem to come from particular parts of India. There were Sikh-Hindu in Australia and the Hindu migrants came from Haryana. Typically Hindu migrants (India not Sri Lanka)came from certain areas like Gujurat, Punjab, they are now coming from all other areas and they are not all white collar IT types. Hindutva India seems to be strategically migrating people to keep overseas diasporas in check.

  3. there is absolutely no excuse for a sikh to eat cow, not even an en excuse to be anti-hindu like some american sikhs. If only they read Ugardanti bani or knew about Guru Hargobind's jeevan against cow killers But still the worst is McDonald's in Panjab and possibly Subway being kuttha! I mean, why do SGPC allow them to have a vegeterian Mcdonald's on Harimandir Sahib Heritage Street if the other Punjab+India Mcdonald's is kurahitee!??

  4. Yeah I've heard about it too. During the Bengal famine of 1943, there were no reported cases although tens of millions of villagers suffered from acute hunger.

  5. What we need to remember, Aasa d vaar - "Din chadia agla nith aap duwaaia." God gives food everyday (have I got the shabd right)??? Akaal Purakh looks after it's ants, 4.2 million species beneath the Ocean and provides for them (SGGS). "Oode ood aave s kausa, tis pache bachre chdiaa." Akaal Purakh's treasures are inexhaustible. One day it will be end of humankind, buy certainly not end of treasures; Food, fruits, water - human ALWAYS find ways to modify nature, even talks of CLONING food in labs (absolutely disgusting) but prefer this over humans ANY DAY. Yes, sadly, nature and natural food may not be the norm in the far, far future but they will carry to be present and modified. Akaal Purakh has given us the inexhaustible treasure but what we do with it? Thas up to us. Akaal Purakh will not dessert us of treasures.

  6. Are you on crack? These are the kind of practices that give pro-Colonialists ammunition for their "civilising" activities in the East. Morals? Ethics? Are you an animal?

  7. Found this post from 2017 on instagram. Its saying the world will be divided into two with 4 great powers on one side and 4 great powers on the other. Like right now the world powers are getting divided into different sides. And there will be a big war and large part of the world will be finished. And that in india there will be a big war between sikhs and muslims. Not sure if this is a coincidence? I mean post is from 2017 and we did have a terrible time since 2020 now with the protests and deaths. Also the possible civil war in india.

  13. Sikhism tells us to be away from such dhan daulat. Making to the list of Forbes is not in our religion and culture tells us to do so. It is against our religion. Sikhs are living example of human going against massing wealth of that much amount.

  14. Miniature? You're forgetting social media was less prevalent then. Punjab was under lock down from all corners, Singhs were killed. It wasn't as big as what is happening today, but that can be summed up to social media.

  16. It's difficult to gain a firm grasp on how to view this issue. Gurbani and Gurmat in general to a standpoint which runs contrary to any form of attachment to temporal vestments, i.e. attachment to and accumulation of land, kingdoms, etc., emphasising the transistory nature of the physical, and how none of that comes with us after death. Yet, Sikh history has indisputable moments where our spiritual and martial leaders NEEDED to descend from up high, as it were, and partake in the more-often-than-not base aspects of civilisation-building and protection. Yeah, I know, "Saint-Soldier" but how is this philosophy applicable on a practical day-to-day basis in times of absolute crisis when we're under attack from all sides?

  21. lool! Those North American 'Sikhs', most likely from Cali, ..exactly reason why got rid of twitter and joined this forum like kcmidlands saying..brown twitter destroy your braincells. Prob one of the most vile mouth foaming bs comes from them..Remember when Cop Sandeep was killed, the 'Woke' lot were saying really gross things about him and calling out the Sikhs who were mourning his loss. He did more for Sikhi then these lowlifes will achieve..and fact they couldn't even have decency keep thoughts to themselves to at least respect his young kids.. No wander those Bay ares Punjabi are being busted as pedos , having kids from wedlock. Seen it all, recent there was girl looks exactly like 'Hard Kaur, but she filming herself, drinking from alcohol bottle, hardly any clothes and listening to Gurbani in the car!! I know some Punjabi live in New York, NJ, went to ivy colleges, and good jobs, own businesses, but ones from there give a bad rep...One Singh was saying its because the fathers busted their a## off, brought land, trucks opened business, whilst mothers raised them 'Westernised' no traditions and they have everything handed to them that fathers worked for, explains their huge egos! My mum got in touch with cousin after long time who lives Cali and they were saying how they never talk to Punjabi there been living there over 20 years and avoid them all costs. When they were able to afford to move out Punjabi area and live in mostly Chinese neighborhood. Even with few Punjabi living on their street they dont talk to lol. Can understand now lol

  22. - Every human has their right to live as per their own wishes (karam). - Sikhs do not hate anyone whether be it gay, sick, poor, rich, kala, gora, peela, nationality, caste etc etc. - Sikhs want equal rights for anyone even if it goes against their own personal belief. Giving all above reasons - People are taking advantage of us. So read below: - Sikhs also do not want those who go against Gurbani to represent sikhi - Sikh also do not want LGTBQ to justify their lifestyle as "allowable per gurbani". - Sikh also do not want them to be present at any sikh stage to preach, leadership or any other religious matter (which is same with other religions) Stop representing sikhism if you do not practice. Any sane person knows that. In above case, someone suffers from inferiority complex or any mental issues where she felt the need to occupy the center of attention by target focusing on sikh religion. Yes, waheguru loves everyone but what is your point?

  23. reckon they should be handicapped time wise / weightwise because they have a definite advantadge over women . I agree with Germaine Greer and Posie on the issue of trans women they are not women and this whole nonsense has been created to overwrite biological women's achievements and remove their safe spaces .

  24. This woman manu kaur looks and behaves like a typical punjabi atheist. Her cheap and disgusting thinking is not a surprise for me as she's not a Sikh in the first place. Just another whitewashed "kaur"?? What truly disgusts me is that "Singhni kirandeep kaur khalsa" at the bottom. She is wearing keski yet supporting this tramp? This woman should neither call herself "khalsa" nor "Singhni". Fake amritdhari women like this bring a bad name and identity for Amritdharis. "Waheguruji loves everyone" is the typical excuse given by punjabi women on reddit before sleeping around with pakis and later cry grooming/forced coversions! These women need to introspect.

  25. She's a fake lesbian, she calls herself a non-binary. Non binary means she neither identifies as a male nor as a female. It's a contradicton. Just a bandwagon jumping attention seeker.

  26. Completely agree with you, when i was in college a good friend of mine told me he was gay i had no issue with it, what i did take issue with was the way he decided to tell me, on a Friday he asked me what i was doing on Saturday, i had nothing planned so we met up in the city centre, we're say there having a coffee, up walk's this other guy, my mate get's up and gives him a hug and introduces him as his boyfriend, i said okay, cool, then he goes off with his boyfriend saying they had made plans leaving me sat there, i met up with him on the Monday back at college and ripped into him, he thought i had "issues" with him coming out as gay, i didn't, i had issues with him wasting my Saturday morning to tell me something he could have just told me at college or over the phone. I think it's probably an issue with acceptance, people feel the bigger song and dance they make about it the more people will be forced into accepting their lifestyle.

  27. I've said it on another thread on these forums, Twitter, specifically "Brown Twitter" is something you should avoid at all costs unless you want to destroy your remaining brain cells. That post about the "Lesbian Sikh" is pretty mild compared to some of the stuff I've seen, there's no limit to the amount of stuff people will post just for some re-tweets, i really do feel sorry for that generation.

  30. It is really a sad case. All western Sikh leaders must be held accountable and i say shame on their heads. His case and Pal Singh France case was extremely sad. See how quickly jailed NRI turned outside in the name of CAT - Surinder Singh and Pannu Journalist.

  31. I have nothing against homosexual people, what i don't like is when people bend maryada and tradition to suit their needs. Your faith is between you and waheguru, the fact that you are gay does not make your relationship any weaker with waheguru. And i also don't agree with how innocent primary school kids are being paraded around in gay pride events organized by the school.

  32. As mentioned previously about sikhnet, above indian news stories, was also posted by Sikhnet website. They promote it very much. Certainly not allowed and will never be and any such relationship disturbs the balance of kudrat. However, we certainly do not hate them regardless of whatever they do.

  33. it's not that we hate it , but we hate the idea that the people have zero intention to follow the Guru and do a sham of Anand Karaj much like those atheist/other faith people . it's insulting frankly, better to go get a court marriage .

  34. No, the Anand Kaaraj is between a man and a woman and Vaheguru. Two people of the same gender cannot get married in Sikhi, it simply fuels kaam and nothing else. You end up forgetting about Vaheguru, then you forget about why we are even on this world and waste your life in sinful acts.

  35. No need to look at just Mahapursh. Some of the bhindri taksal Singhs have really long Nitnem, barely finish before going to sleep. Bibeki Jatha Singhs daily read Panj Granthi in addition to Maryada prescribed bani. Sant Attar Singh read 100 Japji Sahib daily, Sant Jarnail Singh I hear between 101 and 125 per day. For this you need to be reaching high speed or in surti to read additional paath. I knew a Singh who reads Sukhmani Sahib in 30 mins. Japji Sahib for relatively fast readers is 5 or 6 mins.

  36. Bhagat Namdev ji always remained absorbed in the Name of God. Born in a village in Maharashtra, Bhagat Ji after preaching in many places, spent his last days in village Ghumman (Gurdaspur, Punjab). 60 shabads of Bhagat ji are present in Guru Granth Sahib ji.

  37. I met some of them couple of years ago and till this day my experience with them is negative. Not very long time ago, they used to come to california for kids' gurmat camp (FATEH CAMP). They were giving wrong advice to small kids (like eating meat is right not bad etc..). Later on it was decided by some of the local sangat that they are controversial and raised many questions about them (Harinder Singh and co from texas) and a decision was made that they won't be allowed to hold any camp in their city. They changed their name from FATEH to Sikhri few years ago and developed some type of teacher program and i yet have to see it. There are few members on this forum who attended some of their workshops and complained a lot about them (like main organizer speaking ill of Baba Deep Singh ji and labeled baba jees shaheedi as myth etc..) They are typical nastik people and i would suggest gurdwaras and sangat to stay away from them. Main funding comes from rich company owners with likes of kala afghana etc.
