  3. The National Sikh Campaign and We Are Sikhs initiative is focused on raising awareness about the values and contributions of the Sikh community. We are seeking an intern to join us in our work celebrating Sikhi, highlighting the great accomplishments of Sikhs, and introducing non-Sikhs around the world to who Sikhs are and what we believe. Over the past 6 years we have become a strong voice for Sikhs through collaborations with leading companies and organizations such as the Obama White House, Funny or Die, Ben & Jerry’s, PBS, NBA, UFC, etc. As an intern, you would be involved with our communications team, developing stories and creative materials to further educate our communities. This includes but is not limited to working with content creators, sharing news stories, creating explainer content, highlighting incredible Sikhs on our Turban Talk blog and Sikh Meets World podcast, and supporting farmers in India. This quarter is going to be an exciting time to work with the National Sikh Campaign-We Are Sikhs. In addition to creating excellent social media content, blog/podcast, and regular emails we are: producing explainer content around the farmers protest, especially geared toward educating our North American audience. preparing a campaign celebrating Guru Tegh Bahadur’s 400th gurpurab and emphasizing his commitment to religious freedom and human rights. researching and sharing the lives of our Gurus and emphasizing the values they brought to Sikhi. Job Responsibilities As a critical member of our team, you would be responsible for the following tasks: Creating compelling graphics for social media that follow our brand style guidelines Staying up to date on the farmers protest and reporting newsworthy events to the team Assisting with research and fact checking on Sikh beliefs, traditions, and history Contributing to planning and executing social media content calendars Helping the communication manager prepare press releases, blog posts, and emails Attending and participating in a weekly meeting Schedule This is a part-time, remote position, with an expectation of 10-15 hours per week. The intern and the communications manager will determine a mutually-agreeable schedule. A stipend is available.   5. This is just one good example or initiative which can be replicated by Armed Forces & Police all over the globe. Khalsa Youth should opt for this type of training & career. Government's too should give preference to them. Nothing wrong in fusion of traditional & modern lifestyle.

Khalsa Mentoring Programme In celebration of 30 years of Khalsa Foundation, the team are launching ‘The Khalsa Mentoring Programme’ a programme empowering young Sikhs into leadership careers by developing their skills, confidence and industry awareness through mentorship and support. We hope to create a community of online support to help guide young SIkhs in all areas of academia; spirituality and professional development whilst also supporting one another in areas of wellbeing and happiness. This is a programme where young Sikhs can have access to a range of Gursikhs who will share – information (on courses by different organisations; courses with reference to academic studies; tips on revision and studying plus professional guidance on how to progress within careers and professions); insights (learnings they would share with their younger self) and 1 to 1 mentoring (specific guidance for young people to support them to navigate through the journey of academia; careers; skills and employability as well as spirituality and maintain a Gursikhy jivan). If you are over 11 years (at Secondary School +) then you may make an application to join the FREE Khalsa Mentoring Programme. By signing up you agree to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined.   9. More than 4,000 residents are expected to get inoculated at a free vaccination drive being organised by the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara Dubai from February 6 to 8. The campaign is being conducted in partnership with Tamouh Health Care LLC that will administer the Chinese-made Sinopharm vaccine on the premises of the Gurudwara in Jebel Ali from 10am to 6pm on these three days, the gurudwara management said in a statement. “Getting vaccinated now will help protect you and also people around you, particularly people at increased risk for severe illness from Covid-19. This is also an opportunity for you to serve as a role model in our community,” said the gurudwara, urging all to come forward to take the jab. Residents can book appointments via WhatsApp on 0506295702 or 0566445961. Those with appointments must carry the original and a photocopy of their Emirates ID for registration. While visiting Gurdwara, it is compulsory to wear masks, gloves and maintain social distancing, it added in the statement.
