A good thing too, he's been accused of horrendous crimes. There is a huge reward on offer, not only for the capture of bin Laden, but for information that will lead to his capture. Lots of people accused of much worse "horrendous" crimes I don’t see the SUN going there to help capture them by offering financial incentive. So if there is such a big reward on offer for Osama then why haven’t these gori tabloids gone and exploited it?. The point I was trying to, and still are, making is that they made an example of this because he is a Sikh. If you can’t see that then your loss not mine.

This is the same guy that the SUN went to India for and offered a big reward to catch him. As excepted the Hindu government and Punjab police coperated fully, after all anything to betray a Sikh. Shame these people won’t go to Afghanistan and offer such a big reward to catch Osama Bin Laden. Why not? Because they know they will get there backside shot. However if he is guilty then he should pay the price.

Please can somebody shed some light on the new infamous Indian Visa process? It would appear that now you have to apply from the site of VFS http://in.vfsglobal.co.uk/index.aspx they seem to have a process where you can apply on line and then get an appointment and take your papers in and hand them over the counter etc. Or alternatively you can send them by post and for a additional very extortionate fee of £7.40 they will return them to you. I have heard a few horror stories about appointments and how you still have to wait hours despite them saying it’s a 15 minutes slot. Nothing changes after all does it? However my question is this they claim that they have not changed there fees for tourist visas. Previously you could get a tourist visa for £90 for 5 years they still claim to have such a thing its listed as. “More than 1 year tourist visa valid for a maximum stay of 180 days per visit 90£” However I cannot find this on the application site the tourist visa section gives you 12 months max at 90£ or you can apply for a “long term visa” whatever that may be at 135£. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this system and the fees they are now charging? And how the system works. Once again I see our wonderful Indian government charging stupid fees for Visas and other services.

Just got back from the not so glorious Punjab. I flew Jet Airways. Flight was good and on time. We should campaign for more flights to Amritsar, I mean you can go to America for like 250£ so why shouldnt we be allowed to go to India for a relativly cheap amount.

The other reason they r so expensive is cos the Indian Government will not release routes to Amritsar. They will only give routes to whom they want. BA and Virgin been trying for a while from what i can gather.

Sounds like a virus issue to me. Seen it many times before where someone installs a Trojan or something like that then controls your pc. Strangely enough i did some tests with a keylogger once and that did exactly the same as you are getting. Try one thing however, disconnect it from the net and see if it gives you the same issue. If you have a wireless card on it then turn your router off. Having said all that I have also seen the issues others mention exhibit the same symptoms. If it is a virus/spyware best to do a rebuild.

I have just read an article in the front of some paper in our temple about Southall temple and some guy called Sohi. The article referred to terms like “hiring external hands” or words to that effect. And how the police had been favouring this guy in the past. It goes on about some assembly on the 17th Feb and how there has been some trouble lately, referring to some new chief superintendent or something like that, who,. Claims he will resolve the issue. Would someone please enlighten me to what the situation is here? I have heard this guys name mentioned in dispatches before a few times on the board. Just never understood what the whole scenario is.

Its not the Hindu person that’s a threat. It’s the power they have and the authority they possess, and abuse of same that’s the threat.

It’s good to see that you have, at least, educated yourself on some of the real modern threats to Sikhism. The fact that you think these threats are hilarious, is a little disappointing. So help me out here what kind of topics would you like to see discussed. Why don’t you start one that appeals to you? It’s an open board after all.

If its XP professional and you have not resolved this. You may want to consider a rebuild. PM me I have some HP CD's from a lapop with xp on and you may be able to install this version without any licensing issues.

Does anyone know how many children this guy has. I know of one of his sons, but i dont know if he has any more sons or daughters. yeah, try a system restore on ur pc System restore does not do data i dont think. U need some undelete software and then install the software on a usb or something like that. If u install the software on your hard drive (same drive as u delted track from) your recovery chances are drmatically reduced

It’s a classic case of the love triangle, what the media have done (not surprisingly) is turn this story into a religious Sikh/Muslim one. The real and only victim is the poor girl and her unborn child and there families. I think the whole forum knows my views towards the Muslims, due to a previous incident here, so I wont elaborate there. But as some other posters have pointed out these girls are just dumb. They think its “hardcore” to have a Muslim boyfriend because they are been disobedient and its cool. There parents wont like it etc etc. Go to Soho road any weekend and you see them all going to the kebab shop after they have been clubbing. Cos they are “independent” and they can. I have no sympathy for her or her family, she sure wont be getting £160 night in a 4 star hotel treatment where she has gone. If she ever survives the ordeal she may return a wiser woman albeit an older one with a lost youth.
