  1. Well did that buddi think she is the girl? In that case you just got saved. lol Congrats bro on becoming a true lion As others said, the most discrimination you will face is from those 'Sikhs' who have forgiven their identity and deep within themselves they know they are wrong but rationalize that they are right.
  2. It seems to be a different Jarnail Singh https://app.box.com/s/7l27bc02fqcf0vfssrpm http://delhi.aamaadmiparty.org/Delhi-Elections-2013/TilakNagar/JarnailSingh
  3. Although the girl's actions are clearly wrong, we dont know the full side of the story. What exactly went wrong? She is saying as if the guy misbehaved with her
  4. The Hukamnama should probably be amended to include Tankha/excommunication for the Granthi/Gurdwara Committee members conducting such a ceremony. Its only then they will hesitate to allow such marriage on Gurdwara premises.
  5. There are only 2 options : 1) Is there any Akal Takth Hukamnama which bans marriage between a Sikh & non-Sikh or two non Sikhs in a a Gurdwara? If not, we need one and then Gurdwara committees will be reluctant to conduct such marriages. The Akal Takth needs to give out the Hukamnama as to to whoever knowingly conducts or registers ( I mean the BhaiJi/Gianiji/GranthiJi, committee member ) such a marriage will be excommunicated from the Panth 2 We need to educate our children more. 3) Gate crashing is not an option. Irrespective of the above 2 options, inter-religious marriages will continue to occur. We cannot stop them completely. They should occur in court and not in Gurdwara.
  6. Dy and Night news is the only news channel which seems to have done free and fearless reporting. They are the ones who brought on the police officer recently who exposed mass murders by state police. SIkhs are the globe must help this channel to survive.
  7. Even many Keshdhari Punjabi girls are not good. E.g from my 1st hand experience, I married a Punjabi Keshdhari Sikh girl. However I found her to be a liar and deceitful. Lying all the time. I am on a verge of a divorce and this woman keeps lying to court now all the time to get advantages. So who would you marry? A Keshdhari girl who is a liar, dishonest ( not Sikh values) Or a Non sikh girl, who is honest, truthful with a good moral character( Sikh values). I would marry somebody who is Sikh at heart, because she can always become a Sikh physically later. However, its hard to make change somebody's inner self( e.g haumai, krodh, jhooth, ninda) It hurts to see somebody say that he/she is a Sikh but acts completely opposite.
  8. I don't think what you are doing is wrong. I will tell that not Punjabi girls will be good and not all white girls will be bad. Most important thing is moral character. If she is good that way, respects you for your identity, then all's well. Mind it, she probably likes you for who you are( that is you stand by certain ideal and values, and that includes your beard and turban). Many girls want to be with somebody who has these qualities. I wont go to the point where you would have premarital sexual relationship though.
  9. I think a lot of these so called Sikh converts to other religions who maintain their Sikh Saroop do so because they are persuaded by the other religion's preachers to do that. What does the converted Sikh get? Limelight. Thats what they want. As a Sikh, nobody paid much attention to them. Now as a converted Sikh, they are brought on stages to give lectures. If you closely observe, these people want public attention, and they will do whatever it takes. Its kind of psychiatric disorder.
  10. http://www.fifa.com/aboutfifa/organisation/ifab/news/newsid=2109325/index.html?intcmp=fifacom_hp_module_about_fifa We should thank FIFA. Shame on QSF!!!Dont forget your racist backyard comments FIFA statement on head covers (FIFA.com) Friday 14 June 2013 Share © Foto-net FIFA has sent a letter to the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) on 13 June 2013 to inform the CSA that: Following communication between the CSA and FIFA, the matter related to Law 4 The Players Equipment, the use of head covers and the situation arisen within the CSA has been presented to the members of the International Football Association Board (IFAB) for discussion. The IFAB has exceptionally agreed to extend the conditions of the current experiment previously approved by IFAB in October 2012 (as per FIFA circular no. 1322, see PDF on the right hand side), and to allow male players in Canada to wear head covers as well, as long as the following conditions are respected: The head cover must: be of the same colour as the jersey be in keeping with the professional appearance of the players equipment not be attached to the jersey not pose any danger to the player wearing it or any other player (e.g. opening/closing mechanism around neck) The letter sent by FIFA to the CSA on 13 June 2013 authorises the CSA to permit all players to wear head covers as described above, in all areas and on all levels of the Canadian football community. This matter will once again be discussed by the IFAB in October 2013, before a final decision is reached at the next Annual General Meeting of the IFAB, taking place in March 2014.
  11. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/soccer/quebec-soccer-federation-suspended-over-turban-ban/article12466473/ Quebec Soccer Federation suspended over turban ban MONTREAL The Canadian Press Published Monday, Jun. 10 2013, 9:01 PM EDT Last updated Monday, Jun. 10 2013, 9:24 PM EDT The Canadian Soccer Association says it has suspended a provincial association over its refusal to let turban-wearing children play. The organization says it was forced to take action because the Quebec Soccer Federation showed no sign of overturning its decision to restrict turban-wearing Sikhs from the pitch. Quebecs federation says its concerned about safety and points out that the rules of the world governing body, FIFA, dont specifically allow turbans. Critics of the Quebec decision point out that FIFAs rules dont explicitly ban turbans, either. The Canadian association says it will lift the suspension once it has proof the Quebec federation has revoked the ban.
  12. I didnt mention about all monas. I am talking of the monae who themselves portray as "modern" sikhs in the sense of discarding the core Sikh values. Just like the thugs in control of rochester gurdwara
  13. I know many monas have real respect for the faith. But there's a disturbing trend going amongst the monas where they ridicule and even physically attack the GurSikhs. The problem that I have ssen is that these monas obviously deep inside know that they are patits but they go above & beyond to justify their patitness. Rochester Gurdwara was one example. Its high time these monas not be allowed in any Gurughars
  14. Well I think Sikhs in Canada should make it a point that not only they get the ban removed but they get an apology for the 'backyard' remarks. We shouldnt allow them to get away with such remarks. Is there a legal provision for suing the individual who made these remarks? Thats the only way you can make such ignorant and racist fools realize.
  15. I guess thats the biggest problem in our Quam. This guy atleast has his turban and beard. He was also one of the founding members of Sikh Coalition. Rather than standing besides him and taking an opportunity to educate the masses, we are always criticising others. He hasnt gone to a brothel or a strip club. Further he went with his wife to listen to music. I dont see anything wrong. Please guys, lets stick together. United we stand, divided we fall!
  16. QSF is making fools of themselves. They are trying hard to hide their obvious racism while enforcing it at the same time but I am sorry QSF, these comments regarding kids are absolutely disgusting. I wonder from where did they inherit these values ????
  17. looks like Monai vs Singhs ????? people on the left look like goons
  18. Do you think a man as brave as Sant Bhindranwale is somewhere in hiding?
