  1. The link works fine for me.
  2. LUMPEN HISTORY Formed in 1984, the Bajrang Dal shot to prominence during the Ayodhya movement as the VHP's stormtrooper wing. Very visible on December 6, 1992, it was banned after the Babri Masjid's demolition. Unlike other Sangh affiliates, the Dal is not under RSS control. Only Vinay Katiyar has graduated to Parliament. The core remains the urban underclass. Post-Ayodhya, the Bajrangis have been crusaders in search of a crusade. Completely localised they have latched on to issues like cow protection and battling beauty contests. Gujarat is probably the only state where the Dal can boast of a committed cadre and tight organisation. Elsewhere, as in Orissa, it has become the platform of every variety of outlaw. http://www.india-today.com/itoday/08021999/cover3.html http://www.india-today.com/itoday/08021999/cover2.html http://www.myindiatoday.com/newsdetail.php...&newsid=124 The father of modern Hindu Nationalist chauvnism in Gandhi. Gandhi was openly against conversion of Hindus by the christian missionaries but declared Hinduism as an ocean which can be complete only when it has absorbed all other religions. He was pretty clear wasn't he? He was a militant who used non-violence mass protest as a militant weapon again the British. Gandhi and BJP both share same views with regard to missionaries - not acceptable. During the recent violence due to Amarnath shrine in Kashmir very well known turbaned Sikh Navjot Sidhu was at the forefront leading an attack on a Mosque in Amritsar. He is BJP MP. These guys are naqli Sikhs, maharaj is watching everything and Dharamraaj has an account prepared for them to answer, they won't go un-punished by God and Guru.
  3. Hari Singh Nalwa died during an attack on the fort of Jamraud by the Afghans. As far as i know there was some dirty play involved in his death. Had he lived it the Sikhs would have never lost the war with British, which too they won by deceit and when the empire was almost bankrupt. Also the fort he built is currently one of the main base station of the American Army in the NWFP where it is fighting the Taliban. The fort is very well built with walls as thick as two meters and capable of sustaining any major attack. There is also a Gurdwara inside but the American Army doesn't allow anyone to go there.
  4. There are too many types of Yogis. One of the most powerful Yogis are Oghurs (Aow-Gha-arr). They feed on dead animal flesh and even eat dead human bodies. They live naked and in jungles away from society. They are masters of occult and Tantra. And Yogis not only drink alcohol but their urine too mixed with alcohol. Yoga is done to become one with God, to become Brahman as per Hindu thought. As per Sikh thought they are a misguided lot. Guru Gobind Singh specifically states that by doing pranayam a man can fool others to believe he has achieved God but in reality he has not, he with is trickery is able to lead a comfortable life in this world but rots in the next where his tricks do not play with lord.
  5. You should have seen the dance number he performed. Ravana expressing his love for Sita mata. hahaha i knew there would be controversy the minute i saw it.
  6. I am not proving any point. You said you come from a large gursikh family and have large circle of gursikh relatives. Shouldn't charity start from home? As for approaching a gursikh for guidance how do you assume that everyone is a sant brahmgyani on this forum? most are here to learn and not to preach (there was a guy named Namstang but he is not posting anymore so no new lessons). and you never, even once condemned the act of the guys who put up a blog. did you? just because the girls are fooilsh or have been foolish doesn't mean the fact has to be advertised. does it? i myself have been the perhaps the most foolish guy, the things i did make me wonder if i was the same guy! time will teach these girls too but if they have been advertised like this, they will never be able to go back. very much. but that was a long time ago. now i am a sacred cow
  7. mod edit: warning issued due to bad language.
  8. yeah as someone called it cheap sensational journalism. and also everyone including Muslims have condemned this action by those cheap muslim youth and some even agree that young muslim are a misguided lot. and the fact that some of 'our own' find nothing offensive because they happen to be 'friends' with some muslims or came upon some not so nice girls from our community in their campus is also worrisome. know your enemies but know your friends more.
  9. The pic and everything about it http://www.sikhiwiki.com/index.php/Sher_Ali_Khan
  10. Dhan Dhan Guru Ramdas gur. There is very good kirtan live now on guruji's gurpurab from darbar sahib.

did i say something wrong to have my post taken down!! to the anonymous user how bout a pm. Mod Note: Please use gurbani correctly, the line you posted "hassan khelan man ka chao" is not gurbani, its "nachan kuddan man ka chao".
  13. There are guards at Darbar Sahib but they can not be omnipresent! Usually the crowd is quiet and discplined but when you get inside for mattha taking all hell breaks loose. Theres much pushing around by stupid people, esp. middle age or old biji types! Besides nobody bothers about the guards, everyone thinks oneself as supreme. If it is some historic or important festival day, you can forget about taking mattha. The scene inside Akal Takht is also very crowded. But this is normal in India, esp.at hindu temples (two days ago more than 150 died in another stampede at some temple in Rajasthan). The crowd is everywhere, on roads, inside buses, on cycle rickshaws, markets etc. We are a one billion strong nation and still going strong! Ithe ta ghumiar te ghumiar chadiya hoya hai!!
  14. Groping is normal in Darbar Sahib! You are lucky you were not robbed of your goods or money or valuables!! People are crazy here. Most theives are drug addicts who look to steal everything in sight for buying nasha. All the time there is tiddi dal swarming for darshan, some of guru sahib and some of beautiful bibian! The whole place is falling apart.
  15. There is an old wise saying "the reins of a woman and a horse should always remain pulled tight". Now don't label me as sexist as these are not my views but an old punjabi proverb.
  16. To take a big leap forward, one has to take a few steps back.
  17. Even writers like Khushwant Singh now state that resurgent Hindu Militancy started in early twentieth century and is on the rise. Ironically, some writers who used to blast Sikhs for eighties, and drag Sikhs into every violent incident even those by Hindus in Orissa, are only saying "how bad it is" or "how Hindu reputation has suffered". Words like fanatics, murderers, carnage, genocide, militancy, organised violence, extremism are missing from their vocablry now. Is a certain vir sanghvi listening?
  18. One of my friend since school days got married and settled in U.K. She now prominently displays her pictures with Musli co-worker friends in her profile as if it is a trophy! I wanted to ask her why couldn't she find a like minded Sikh female as a good friend but did not. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets into a fun fling with a cousin of her musli friend! And to top it she goes to gurdwara early in the morning and takes part in all religious functions, she displays those pics too. Obviously when you display a picture of you covered from head to toe in a gurdwara alongside a picture of you dancing half naked in a club, you de-fame all those good and nice sikh bibis who don't do these sort of things! If you are bad then be 100% bad, don't be 50-50. Atleast people won't question your religion and other followers!
  19. It's amazing how all kinds of people with all kinds of belief background find solace in Darbar Sahib. Gurughar is open for all, even for Kanjars of bollywood! Dhan Guru Ram Das, Dhan teri Sikhi!
  20. I find it funny how these muslas state "Islam will dominate" ! What will they dominate? They are getting their assess bombed by the Americans and each and very historical and important Muslim Shrine/Mosque are being desecrated in Iraq! Same pattern will follow pretty soon in Iran, More than half of Muslim population are starving, poor, illiterate and still living in the middle ages! What are they gonna dominate? Slums! or maybe Hell (where there is queue outside the gate; thanks to Bush). Stupid pigs. And the girls photos - they are probably stolen from various web pages. Musla mentality at it's best. These guys need a proper banging!!
  21. The biggest difference between Sikh parcharaks and missionaries is only one. 1. Sikh parchaarks do parchaar in a well advertised samagam in a big pandal where there is a big golak for collection of offerings in front of guru granth sahib. Everyone who comes contributes atleast some money and then eat langar. Christian missionaries maintain person to person contact and visit houses (often secretly in the middle of the night) of gullible persons, often first starting by doing discources on the persons religion Hindu or Sikh, and then brainwashing them. Missionaries first praise the converts earlier religion and then declare it to be false and little in front of christ. The convert gets monetry benefits such as free aid medical and educational and dreams of visa to west. How many of our people are able to read and understand guru granth sahib? How many can do without a granthi? What is the right way of Sikhi? A person speaks against SGPC and then is seen taking part in SGPC functions! What message is given out? Visit any gurdwara and you find readymade 'akhandpaaths'. Just pay more money and get ardaas done why wait for months or weeks! How many Sikhs can do Akhand paath with understanding on their own? And to top it every sant baba has his own interpretation. A common poor person will obviously get lost in this brahmanvaad in Sikhi! http://www.hindustantimes.com/StoryPage/St...aith%2c+no+more This is one battle that Sikhs and Hindus must fight together!
  22. lol! and the whole time i was reading the thead thinking it to be 'present time'. LMAO....i never bothered to look at date of posting......wasn't ntil i got to last page that i realised that i was reading a thread from two years back.haha it took me a whole lot of time to go through the whole thread and i was constantly thinking that how and when this very large thread got posted, people must be really hot on posting!!!! sometimes i am really numb. 23. Anyone whos got stung by a honeybee or any poisnous fly, knows that if you immediatly rub the spot with iron there is no swelling. Kara is also supposed to protect from evil. How it does that i don't know! But i do know and have experienced it's amazing supernatural abilities. Kara should also represent Guru and is his symbol. I firmly feel, it's my thought and my state of mind so don't rant about what i am gonna say, that kara is a kind of hotline with Guruji. i know it sounds weird but i feel i have a direct connection with guruji's power through my kara. It is kind of receptor of Guruji's blessings/power and kind of creates an electromagnetic field of Guruji's naam power around me, acts like an invisible sheild that protects from not only evil but also non-truth of god/s. Kara keeps my faith in check and saves me from falling in trap of devi devte. Once a pandit told me to remove my kara. He said "yeh guru ka kara hai jo kabhi kabhi tumahra sar ghuma deta hai". I said "chaped maroon tere dor fite mooh".
