Have to agree the above devices are the ones to go for if you want quality throug and through. The Zoom H2 is also a great device at a bargain price.

Assuming you are using windows xp, follow these steps: Double click the speaker icon in the bottom right next to the time (if you cannot see this then you need to go to control panel, sounds and enable the 'place volume control on taskbar' option) This will open up the mixer panel. Put a tick in the mic section Make sure the mic is not too close to the speakers because you will get feedback otherwise
