  1. excuse the ignorance - which Gurdwara Sahib are they at?
  2. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Sorry, may be prophecies was the wrong word - perhaps Guru Jee's Bachan is a better phrase?!?! But in any case, if anyone tried to chop the tree down, this wouldn't alter the course of Khalsa Raaj, as Akal Purakh di Fauj said in the above post, and such actions would have serious consequences on those persons trying to test our Guru's Bachan. There's a story from our little pind in Punjab - Guru Har Rai Sahib Jee went to it and rested there for a while. They used a Daatan to clean their teeth (I think a Daatan is kinda twig thing which ppl used to clean teeth back in the day). When they threw the Daatan away, a little tree sprung up. About 30/40 years ago, some sceptics of the Guru tore the tree down to accommodate their own land/backyard. The effect that this had on their family was to seriously deplete it - members of the family died soon after. In the mean time, the Daatan tree has regrown back to its glory despite the efforts of those to wreck it. Nothing can stand in the Guru's way
  3. Sikhi Week rocked :TH:  can't wait for the next one ps - who gave the UCL talk - my friends told me it was well good but unfortunately i couldn't attend that particular day - will the audio be put up on the BOSS website? thanks Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  4. Fateh Khalsa Raaj will come itself - no need to worry about that - all Guru Gobind Singh's prophecies continue to be fulfilled. However, it is our duty to become Tyaar-Bar-Tyaar Khalsa - if we Khalsa are strong, nothing in the world can stop us - we just gotta concentrate on our Naam, Bani, Bhagti, Rehit, Kamayee and Gursikhi Jeevan Bhul Chuk Maaf Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru
  5. Hey Gurudwara Harkrishan Sahib Manchester - GREAT SEVA But pls pls pls pls pls - any chance of including Bhai Manpreet Singh in that line-up - that would be awesome - but still chardi kalaa without them any way :TH: - cannot wait for the Smaagam Waheguru
  6. With respect to Kamar Kasa jee - looks like he has already been kicked off the forum under the name SatKartar - and here he is stirring false propoganda/trouble in only a few posts on this and other threads. I'd request Admin to kick him off - we don't need these futile trouble makers on this forum - they can write their cr*p elsewhere. I think it is sad that when the UK Nangs cannot win any debate, they resort to doing Nindya of Gurmukh sevadaars - how sad I say that for the sake Panthic Chardikalaa and Unity, exterminate their posts every time they join up under a different name.  I know it is drastic to censure points of view - but in the end, these guys aren't up for constructive debate - they just out to distort Sikhi according to their warped views. 7. Sangat Jee, I know we are living in the age of Kaljug at the moment, but what are the other "Jugs"? Also could the sangat pls explain the significance/importance of these is in Sikhi? Many thanks, vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!
  8. Thanks for sharing - really inspiring - hopefully, I can act on it now vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!
  9. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! Fateh I agree with Japnaam Singh. No need to despair about bickering or argument Japmans - the few JERKS that are out to cause trouble will always cause trouble - don't need to worry about them - hopefully Guru Jee with do Kirpaa on them soon. The reason why we don't see many positive posts is that either we are in agreement on nearly all issues on the beauty of Sikhi, or alternatively, that we aren't so spiritually uplifted that we don't understand what Sikhi is about and therefore unable to converse on it (the latter is true for me). Or perhaps the reasons for why the negative posts outweigh the positive posts is that we don't the chance to express our pyaar or respect for the members of the CyberSangat: I'd take this opportunity now (without hoping to sound Group-Huggy or saracastic): to all the Gursikhs out there - i've learnt loads from you and you have been a great inspiration to me in my Sikhi Marag. But back to the topic, even when there seem to be so many negative posts, we can always interpret them in one of two ways - interpret things in their best light and take positives from the negative, or we can all just despair and be pessimistic ab out the present and future. I suggest that we should all take the positive interpretation approach - since, as we are in Kaljug, there will always be things that try to pull us away from the Guru. When tragedies happen, the Sangat always rally together to remember the Pyare GurSikhs - and the pyaar amongst the Sangat grows. However, in Kaljug, it is always difficult to maintain this Pyaar - but we must keep up our sewa and simran, take the postives from this world full of negatives, and with Guru's Kirpaa - the pyaar amongst the Sangat will grow stronger. 10. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I'd recommend Adobe Audition - formerly Cool Edit Pro - I think it's quite good - but I haven't really used/don't know many other programs. Adobe Audition's quite good cos it got useful editing features to improve the sound quality of the recordings, such as getting rid of hiss/cackling sound. Hope that helps :TH: Fateh
  11. Found this post on another forum - thought it was excellent. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  12. Went last night to the Keertan Darbar - it was proper amazing. It was nice to see so many Chardi Kalah Singhs and Singhnees, I think around 225-250 (not hoping to exaggerate) - never seen so many Naujawan Sikh in my life!!! Hopefully the BOSS Sewadars made audio recordings and can put up the Keertan on the site - it got me proper boosted. Can't wait till the next Sikhi Week. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  13. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! I was listening to Keertan from Sri Darbar Sahib today on Alpha ETC Punjabi and Bhai Kamaljit Singh was doing this shabad to a wicked tune. I checked it out on SikhiToTheMax, and it got me thinking. The Rehaao pangtee was: It used to bug me when people said "God doesn't exist" because you cannot prove it...blahblahblah... and I couldn't really respond because its an issue of faith. I always thought that if you search for Waheguru, rather than dismissing Him straight away, then you might stand a chance of finding Him and feeling His love. But I never found any Tukh to back this up. However, as Guru Jee says in the above quote, the value of Guru's Name can only be appreciated by those that "Trade" (is the analogy used) or se arch for it. As Guru Jee says later in the Shabad, one must: Finding Guru Jee requires that bit of devotion/faith in the first place. If one has this, i.e., one overcomes their skepticism, then the Guru will do his Kirpaa, because then, as Guru Jee says in the same shabad: This Shabad teaches us that we must come within the "Sharan" of the Guru to receive his blessings. Just as nothing comes in this world without effort, by renouncing our Ego, we must take the same steps towards the True Guru in our efforts to reach with Waheguru - only then can we understand and find Him. Amazing Guru Granth Sahib Jee - it has all the answers - its just a matter of doing the Research or Khojj. Dhan Dh an Siri Guru Granth Sahib Jee Maharaj For the full shabad, the link is: http://www.sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?ShabadID=3667 Please forgive and correct any misunderstandings of mine in understanding this Shabad. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!
  14. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I have loads of Bhai Gurmeet Singh Shaant keertan - about 14/15 hrs worth when they did keertan in our local gurudwara for a few weeks. I'll try and get it uploaded either to the hub or some keertan website asap. It's just a matter of finding time between studies to transfer it and record it into mp3 format!!! If you bear with us, it'll probably be sometime around Xmas. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!
  15. Hey thanks Aman Jee - great seva - again, brought back the amazing memories of the Atam Ras Keertan Darbars  Must say, Bhai Niranjan Singh's Keertan is mind blowing - and seeing him do Keertan - he does it with so much pyaar and sharda - incredible!!! Bhul Chuk Maaf vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!
  16. Fateh I think (though not 100%) Jodhpuri Jee is now not a full-time Hazuri Ragi, unlike Bhai Ravinder Singh, Bhai Gurdev Singh, Bhai Randhir Singh or Bhai TarBalbir Singh, but as an ex-Hazuri Ragi, he will still do Haajree at Darbar Sahib quite often. It's like Bhai Nirmal Singh and Bhai Harnaam Singh - they are no longer full-time Keertaniyas at Darbar Sahib, although they often do do Keertan at Darbar Sahib. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!
  17. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! I used to have a big Krodh problem - I used to get angry over the smallest things. My dad suggested to me to do a small Ardas to Waheguru of "Kaam, Krodh, Lobh, Moh, Hunkaar tau Bachaaee" every time I felt anger coming and just before I went to sleep every night. Over a 2-3 month period, this helped me a lot and I am a lot calmer now (even though I occasionally still laspe  @ !!). Hope this helps. :TH:
  18. Does anyone know of their schedule - what gurdwara's will they be at and the dates. Thanks
  19. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh I have a query concerning Gurmat/Rehat Maryada to which I would appreciate the sangat's views. Recently, at our Gurudwara Sahib there has been a fierce debate between two staunchly held views by equally respectable Gursikhs in our sangat. Following the bhog of an Akhand Path Sahib and the conclusion of the Keertan diwan, should the granthi do the Sukhasan of Guru Granth Sahib Jee? Some Singhs urge that there should be Sukhasan, since if we are to accept our Guru jee as a "jaagdee jot", then considering that the Guru Granth Sahib Jee has been "parkash-ed" for more than 48 hours (including the Keertan), then it is only right that the Sukhasan is done, with the Guru Granth Sahib Jee's on the Manjee Sahib being changed for another saroop. This is because if the Guru Sahib is "Pargat Gurah Kee Deh" (Dohraa after Ardaas), then the Sukhasan should be done, as Guru Sahib's body gets tired as well. If this were not the case, why bother even doing Braajman at Amrit Vela and Sukhasan in the evening, and doing bhog of Langar to Guru Jee, before sharing it with the rest of the sangat? It is only because we respect the Guru Granth Sahib Jee's physical body that this is done, along with the Chaur and placing beautiful Ramallae on a grand Paalkee. On the other hand, some Singhs contend that if we do this after every Akhand Path, then it becomes ritualistic in worshipping the physical aspect of the Granth, when the real Guru is the Gurbani contained in the Granth (Bani Guru, Guru Hai Bani, Vich Bani Amrit Saarae). Further, it can be argued that if Guru Sahib's saroop is tired after 48 hours, t hen an Akhand Path is cruel in itself to Guru Sahib's saroop, due to its continuous reading. Both views seem equally defensible and plausible, and am at pains to come to a conclusion as to what respect and satkaar for our Guru jee requires. Bhul Chuk Maaf, Sat Sri Akal
