ohh bhenji i understand how you feel. ive had the dastar conversation with my parents many many times and it usually doesn't end well. explaining can be hard, but never the less bani tells us to respect out parents and for good reason too. when it comes down to it they just have your best interest in hand. but at the same time someones their more worried about how other ppl with react and talk then trying to see how much it means to you. when they say but what about what so and so will say, ask them if your hurting that person in anyway, or being disrespectful...all you want to do is respect your gurus wishes, hes calling to you and your answering.. be patient, keep explaining and do ardaas, guru jee is always with you. and with this may you only continue to inspire the singhs and kaurs around you!
