  3. on countless times ive read many posts done by yourself which against nihang traditions and the mareyda, it seems to me you hate nihangs altogether? or is it because the traditions such as aarti aartha and chatka dont fit it to your sikhi perspective, anyone can put a farla in their dumalla I read in one of your posts? stop hating...if you wish to follow the SGPC rehit follow it but that rehit was created a long time after the original nihang rehit. just my two cents

sad Sana's life was taken, even though sanghera may have been ''brainwashed'' thats not a good enough reason to stab a baby in the mothers womb and killing the mother!
  12. I know we are going off topic now, but there is also a section called "fanatical vegetarians" read that. They are not just writing "history" they are saying their beliefs and promoting meat eating. The reason i said don't get this book, is because i just didn't want anyone to be influenced to eat meat, but now i have become a hypocrite, making others seem bad, whilst i am no good myself. It takes more than just not eating meat to be good, besides i have no power to make people become good, so there is no point, in trying, im sorry for ever posting here, it was a mistake. as many of you know, I learn from niddar singh shocking :| .... anyway he doesnt promote what ever his views are, I myself am a vegetarian and he hasnt got a problem with it neither has anyone in the akara...everyone keeps their view to them selfs the book would not not influence you in eating meat unless you are weak hearted and you will crave meat just by reading''meat'' ..no one can influence you if you stick to your guns and believe in your own beliefs and dont worry about others
  13. Waheguru forgive me, i must have read the question wrong in regards to what they meant about "present day gatka", i though the origional poster meant Akhareh that were aiming to focus on the gurmat of Gatka etc..... Bhul Chuck Maafi gatka and shastar vidiya are two different things
  14. what about in bachitar natak, were guru himself says he went hunting! http://www.sridasam.org/dasam?Action=Page&p=143 I went hunting various kinds of animals in the forest and killed bears, nilgais (blue bulls) and elks.1. Then I left my home and went to place named Paonta. I enjoyed my stay on the banks of Kalindri (Yamuna) and saw amusement of various kind2. There I killed may lions, nilgais and bears. it seems like you should read maharajs bani...
  15. when i got the book, i was really impressed by the way it was presented ie the quality of the book such as the paper used and the good stitching which would give the reader confidence the book would not tear. As some of you may have seen the book 'Warrior Saints' you must have seen the Akali Nihang with the most scariest eyes and look, on the front cover is a picture of him and the fellow other hazoori Sikh bodyguards in formations which hasnt been published before. the book is rich in rare high quality paintings of the Gurus, Nihangs, and old maps, the book also contains photographs of frescos across the Takht and other gurdwaras which have been disappeared due to 'modernistion' the last chapter is on a more serious note, which is about the destruction of the heritage which has happened over the years such as Ramgarhia Bunga, the homes of the hazoori sikhs destroyed even houses which were the original ones were destroyed, and also the Baradhari. Many people have been crisicising the book because of a caption which was taken out of context, it is up to the reader to make up their own mind whether the authors were wrong to identify the actions of the people in charge.... This first volume is one of many to come, the second which should be released at the end of this year shall be even better...
