  2. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! This is slightly off topic but it has to do with respecting the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. 3. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Just be on the look out for Rennet which is from and animal source. Rennet is commonly found in chesse. It is the inner lining of the fourth stomach of calves and other young ruminants. A dried extract made from the stomach lining of a ruminant, used in cheesemaking to curdle milk. Other wise cheedar cheese does not contain any animal products. Hope that helps!

  7. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! In my opinion I think hes just a front for the government so that they can look good on the outside but on the inside their still rotten, why would the congress party make a sikh PM, i dont buy it, they probably have something brewing :T: ! I think this new PM still needs to prove himself to the sikh community.
  8. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Hey, hey its CANADA, with a C not K, you dont want to be offending any canadians eh!
  9. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! They say that Marriages are made in heaven and celebrated on earth, so it is my believe that who you marry has already been determined, it is your sanjogh. Hope that helps!
  10. Awwwwwwwwww, this is the most sweetest story! Yet it is so true, so many parents spend more time working and forget who they are working so hard for! :yehyehyeh:
  11. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I know that Canada has a sikh population of over a half of a million.
  12. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I found this poem on gursikhijeevan! Many threads have been written re: "Singh's" leaving their wives &/or kids. However, this is to give support to the women: "Why are you crying?" a young naujawan asked his mom. "Because I'm a woman" she told him. "I don't understand," he said. His mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will".......... Later the little boy asked his daddy, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?" "All women cry for no reason" was all his dad could say........ The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to WAHEGURU JI; when He got on the phone, the man asked "O WAHEGURU JI, why do women cry so easily?" WAHEGURU said....... "When I made women she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world; yet, gentle enough to give comfort.... I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children...... I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone gives up and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining...... I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt them very badly....... This same sensitivity helps her make a child's boo-boo feel better and shares in their teenagers anxieties and fears....... I also gave her a tear to shed, It's hers exclusively to us e whenever it is needed. It's not her weakness, it is her strength.... It's a tear for mankind........." The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows and the beauty of a woman, with passing years, only grows! Womanhood is the strength of the Sikh Nation.
  13. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! In response to KKaur's question I would have to say that if you live in Toronto then you could go to dixie gurdwara where they teach a girls gatka/ self defense class, i've been and they have taught us how to do some knife work( self defense). Its a really good class, it takes place every sunday at 6:00pm- 8:00pm. If not i'm sure if you joined a gatka class in your local area or took any self- defense classes they could be of great help.
  14. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Its okay to wear fancy suits to the gurdwara but some people dont know where to draw the line. People dress like their going on to a party when they come to the gurdwara, I remember back in the day when people wore party suits, well at the parties, now I see them at the gurdwara which leaves me thinking what the hell do they wear at the parties ( thank god im not around to see). I see women wearing half sleeve, Ive even seen half salwar, people need to cover up and stop acting like they just jumped out of a bollywood movie. I wont be suprised if the next trend is bikini suits.
  15. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I found another good poem from gursikhijeevan, please read! I am a Princess, I wear a Crown Don't let my Keshes go tumbling down Instead I keep them neatly wound Inside, beneath, my Keski, bound I am a Princess, I let it show I want everyone to know I am daughter of a King, and so I let 'each' one of my Keshes grow I am a Princess, I live in His Grace Fresh and clean without a 'common' trace I don't 'make up', cut, bleach, or paste I'm not a phoney, I have an 'honest face' I am a Princess, as royalty, I wear Bana With my breath do Simran, read Banee, learn Kathaa My hands help with Langar, do shoe Seva My hearts home is in my Fathers Castle, His Gurudwara I am a Princess, I keep Panj Kakar Precious gifts from Five Beloved Sevadar Weapons to help me fight 5 enemies, win the 'world' war I am a Warrior Princess, my name is Kaur (by a 'Gupt' Singhni)
