  6. waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh.. waheguru ji i personally think that giving money to ragis is wrong... but some ppl... think that's the only way to give them respect... and i gues .. since ppl sarted believing that.. the ragiis have no more respect for bani as in singing it with passion and love for guru ji.. instead they have moh for money...which is sad.... and as the shabad posted by deep virji says that we shouldn't sell gurbani... but waheguru ji .. personally i have no clue y they give money.. . is it respect? :T: .... :D ..dunno... bhul chuk muaaf waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh
  7. WOW! ... 9. waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh waheguru ji.....i had this talk with my dad in the past month....according to his explanation, he said that living in a family does cause moh, peyar, stress, and all this other stuff, but when you choose the way of doing bhagtee, it's not easy either , i mean you could do it, and you will have a better chance of meeting god, but we only hear this from the sants who have been succesfull in this dissision. he said doing bhagtee alone is not as easy as it seems, because you can't grow out of what you've left behind, everyone has a dream of making a family, but then to just concentrate on bhagti, you have to leave the dreams out of your life, because while meditating on guru ji's naam, your concentration will not really be at one place but if you r succefull the results will always be better, as that is with any worldly thing, if you take the harder way you get to a better path.... wahrguru ji, this is only mine and my dad's opinion, i respect yours just as much.... bhul chuk muaff karni guru fateh... waheguru ji ka khalsa :pary: waheguru ji ki fateh
  10. :D :D LOL! LOL! LOL! THAT SERIOUSLY CRACKED ME UP... thankyou ji
  11. Gur fateh... then waheguru ji....why don't we have the sikhs who know a lil about sikhi doing some influence....good influence....i knwo it'll be hard....but think about the kids in the feature, now in my councling class i only have 2 sikh kids in bana's....like perfect bana's... now i tell all the kids too dress like them... and give them examples abou why.. but waheguru ji... these 300 kids are almost nothing infront of the world pop.... and i bet only some of the kids will actually remember whatever i told them...with guru's kirpa... but we do have a chance of all the kids knowing about sikhism if the adults do a lil more... i mean their parents are a bad influence on them...the kids in school are bad influence...so whatdo the look up to now...we could keep on telling them to go towards sikhism.. but.. more than us they see the ppl around them in their everyday lives...most of us .. as i am describing myself...got into sikhi late... we waisted that time by listening and doing worldly things instead of thinking and talkinmg about god... some of us took some big steps with this type of sangat... which also affected our status of being a gurmukh....waheguru ji all i am saying is, i don't want these kids to go through this :D .. i don't want them to waist a minute of their lives without god... i know we have disscusions, but with these disscusions , we need to have a goal, a goal to make a better future ji.... i feel bad because kids with cut hair sit in one group and kids with kesh sit in another... waheguru ji, we need to do more than we think... :D bhul chuck muaf waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh..

Wahe guru ji ka khalsa Wahe guru ji ki fateh Sikhs outraged after 95-year-old's beard shaved: Complaint filed Nurse at Hotel-Dieu clips beard without permission --------------------------------------------- Veronique Mandal Star Health-Science Reporter, Windsor Star windsor The family of a deeply religious Sikh is filing a Human Rights complaint after the man's beard was shaved by a Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital nurse without his permission. Angad Singh, 95, in strict adherence with his faith, has never allowed one hair to be removed from his face and head. The beard of a Sikh is one of the five sacred insignia of his religion, Singh was sent to hospital on June 4 by a Community Care Access Centre nurse for blood work and a general check-up, said his son Maninder. The following day his beard was shaved and his eyebrows trimmed. "There was absolutely no reason for the nurse to shave his beard and if I had not come into his room in time, she would have cut his hair," said Maninder. "It's just a terrible thing." Singh sits in an armchair in his son's home, his smile of greeting belies the hurt and humiliation he feels knowing that his once elegantly tied beard is now reduced to a scraggly, month-old tuft of hair. A man of stature as an officer in the Indian government of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Singh is hard of hearing, but mentally sharp and says he has been totally disgraced by the shaving. From a man who regularly gave sermons, Singh now hides in the back of the temple, too ashamed to be seen by his fellow worshippers. "This is very difficult to deal w ith. I feel very much ashamed and this is very bad for me," said Singh. "I many times tried to stop her, but she wouldn't stop. This has brought disgrace on the whole family......
