  3. Bairaag is detatchment from the worldy things.It is a stage where one may not be considered normal. One will become introvert to the extent that it may be called as selfish, some may call that one has become haughty and arrogant. Othersmay think that he is not normal.One may attain this kind of state if one has spent entire youth in Gurbani and at 50/ 60+ he can be a Bairagi. But there are only a few these days. Keep your chanting and Simran on waheguru that's we can do. Waheguru ji.

What is not as per gurmat or otherwise ;who are we to decide.I had read only the last line of your post.The rest I shall do it tomorrow as you seem to be not in good mood. Thank you for clearing the doubt. 1.Would you also kindly help me by providing some links to the site of Kathas of SGGS ji.The voice format should be mp3.That is what I have installed. 2.What is .ram file. & .wma files. I have downloaded some voice files but these require some specific softwares. I do not want to have many softwares.I have mp3 and windows media players. Regards.

  17. Thanks for guidance. The main teaching of Granth sahib is to be a Nice and humble human being and gives lot of importance to the Naam. This can be obtained by constant practice and abhyaaas. This is totally missing so far as I am concerned. It is also in gurbani that this abhyaas leads to cleaning of Haume from mind. It is also noted that we have to make a balance between the two. Kindly guide the jugti stated in the Granth sahib for jap/simran/meditation. I shall be very grateful.

  19. This thread is an interesting feature that it contains 'Ant kaal'. It should be translated as dying moments. At what poit Of time should one consider that the ant kaal has begun for a person who is almost dying. Most people that I have seen dying are not conscious at all. They just do not open eyes.it seems as if their mind is doing something and the body is almost motionless except the broken Swaas show that there is life.I doubt that any person [ordinary] , at that point of time, would be thinking about anything. Is there anything specific at the moments of Death stated in death. Kindly enlighten. Although everything is in simran as my friend has told.

Hi Student Firend, Good to see your posts as usual.Whenever I read your posts I feel that you are hundred persent right and that we should spend the entire day or to the extent that we can in mditation /simran.I do not know which one is better.Even chanting would be another option. There are one or two doubts that come to mind.We have to do paath as per the rehat. Should we do simran even during that time as well? I think rehat has its own significance. I have a site from which i have started listenng Katha.It also takes some time daily.Is it better to do meditation or to listen to Katha and spend some time ? What is your advice? WE are not talking as per the thread. Regards.

I have some observations to make. What is the translator trying to say in the line that is colored.? To me neither the translation is correct nor is there any need of adding anything beyond that the line states. What is your take.? The line contains superfluous meanings. It also seems to be saying something more as the line does not appear to be cogentlly placed in the overall context of the Sabad. Please have a look at the full Sabad. Regards.
