  1. If this Committee of manmukhs want to fight for their alcohol and meat parties then Gurmukhs will stand to stop the beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. These manmukhs are walking the path of self destruction. They will make their place in history alongside massands who Guruji burnt and who the Gurdwara Reformists of 1920's sorted out. Shame on this committee and I pity the karam they are making for themselves. They will be answerable to the Sikh Sangat on this earth and Dharamraj in the next world.
  2. If you zoom into the pictures you can read Ramgarhia Sikh Gurdwara Punjabi School Slough
  3. The doctor will not prescribe based on dietary choices, there will have to be an allegery existing. The milk on prescription is for special cases only.
  4. Your only option is SMA WySoy powder. This is soya milk but is the only vegetarian new born baby milk on the market. There is nothing wrong with the Soya milk as it is an alternative other baby milks, especially now with the likelihood of allegies etc to cows milk. You can move on to the other SMA products (powder only) in 6 months time which is suitable for veggies and no fish
  5. Sangat Tv need to up their game in order to make these programmes enticing. The broadcast quality was very poor and there were many technical problems. Sorry Mohan Singh, I could not get into the discussion because of the poor broadcast. I hope Sangat Tv up improve, we dont want to have lost opportunities to do parchar.
  6. I've just rang up the Sikh Channel to find out that the repeat showing of last Sunday's youth discussion about Committees has been cancelled! Sikh Channel have received pressure from Gurdwara Committees not to repeat this show! There are blatant attempts every week to silent the voice of the youth. The show was a constructive discussion about everyone playing their part and joining the seva of running the Gurdwaras in UK. Please ring Sikh Channel and request them to repeat the youth show 0121 380 1050 or email dsb@sikhchannel.tv
  7. There is no originally in Sangat Tv if they will be re-packaging Sikh Channel presenters and programme formats. Thats disappointing as Sangat was promising a different programmes etc. They have taken the easy option rather than attempting to carve their our niche and style in Sikh Media.
  8. Kuljug Ji. Can we proclaim to be Amritdhari Sikhs and not live by the ideals of the Khalsa? This is the deal you do with Guruji the minute you take amrit. The expectation of high moral behaviour is immediate! For us to ignore behaviour Guruji has explained as a bujjar kurehit, is refusing to live by the Khalsa Rehit. It does overshadow things, if kaam drove him to his death then we cannot bury our heads in the sand and continue to incorrectly portray the situation. Kaam exists at all ages. The advantage of taking Amrit early is that attempts to control kaam will flourish as you get older. But if you chose to follow kaam at a young age then it will affect you through your life and can become the downfall. The spiritual seeds you sow at a young age will help when you get older. For us to feel that he was young and therefore allowed to mess around is a western attitude, nothing at all to do with Sikhi. Why is everyone so quick to shut down talk of a relationship? Will that invalidate all his seva for the panth? Of course it won't. He was a young man in the media industry with a lot of power. Obviously he was going to come across all types of people - some genuine, others aware of his financial clout. If he was ensnared by this girl for purposes other than romance, then the court case will also reveal the exact nature of their relationship.
  9. No-one will thank Sikh TV if the truth ends up being something completely opposite to what is being portrayed. There are so many unanswered questions, the main question now is if you are one of those who know the truth, will you beable to live with yourself and keep quiet? Guruji knows all and will manifest the truth….All the media spin in the world won’t be able to stop this from happening.
  10. Dudley Gurdwara have felt the pressure from the sangat however they reacted to this by making up lies and attempts to deceit the UK Sikh Sangat. Looks like meat, alcohol and anti gurmat activities are they religion that the Dudley Gurdwara committee belong too, shame on them.. Come on Dudley Committeewale, save whatever little honour you have left and simply stop meat and alcohol being consumed at the Cultural Centre. This is an embarassment!
  11. Very sad, benti to Sikh Television Channels to raise this issue and create awareness. These Singhs who were murdered are our grandfathers and totally innocent. Guruji bless them and their families.....
  12. The Gurdwara committee want to sue over their own bezhti. What about the beadbi the committee do towards Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji by allowing meat & alcohol onto Gurdwara property? Tell me one thing, after all this fiasco, is the committee capable being incharge of a Gurdwara?
  13. Looks like the Dudley Committee have actioned legal proceedings against SikhSangat. Good to see further misuse of Guruji's golak and Sangat's donations. Dudley committee dont have a leg to stand on so now starts the cover up attempts but the TRUTH cannot be silenced. Please SikhSangat wale give an update to what's happened. www.satkaarcampaign.blogspot.com has updates for the UK Sangat about Dudley beadbi.
  14. Gursikhs in the UK have gone to jail in order to stop this beadbi. Come on Canadian Singhs, where is your drive to stop beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji? www.satkaarcampaign.blogspot.com has the hukamnama and sandesh from Sri Akal Takht Sahib along with english translations, and other information. Start the parchar now before it’s too late and like the "Singhs" in the video, we won't be bothered to think about Satkaar for Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Please Canadian wale, sometimes its feels that you don’t want to voice your concerns. Don’t ignore beadbi of Guruji, it is your duty to stop it!
  15. Siyaanah All this boils down to is that you dont get the respect you deserve. What about the respect Sri Guru GrantH Sahib Ji deserves? Seva is done without the want for recognition. Those who want recongnition are politians. Sorry to burst your bubble, you monies dont buy the principles embedded in Sikhi. The Gurdwara is Gurujis , not the highest bidders! I hope you have some passion for something because you have zero passion for Sikhi….
  16. I beg the local Gursikh sangat of Dudley to attend this meeting and stop this beadbi which has been happening for many years now. . The Sikh Cultural Centre is owned by Guru Nanak Singh Sabha Gurdwara and as per Akal Takht Gurdwara Maryada, no meat, alcohol or tobacco is to be used or served anywhere on Gurdwara owned property. It is as simple as that. There is no hidden agenda, the cultural centre has to be used to promote Sikh oriented activities, like classes for kids, day centres for elders and not for parties where meat and alcohol is allowed. This is the time for the Dudley Sangat to stop this committee from any further sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The Gurmat focused Sikhs of Dudley have to outweight those Manmukhs who the committee members will bring with them!
  17. Great, so the rest of the committee who want to continue with allowing meat and alcohol in the Gurdwara are the real heroes? The s*** has hit the fan for those who dont want to adhere to Gurdwara Maryada. The gravy train has come to its last stop. It's time for the committee to change it's selfish ways.
  18. This is a great example of how far manmukhs are willing to go in order to protect their manmukh activities! The easy answer for the committee is to do their seva and implement Gurdwara maryada. Instead they are thinking of ways to bend the rules to suit their means. Dudley sangat deserve better than this committee who are creating doubt in the minds of the sangat and continue to mislead. Shameful behaviour....
  19. My singhnee was flicking through one of her cake books and read that in order to prelong mazipan can be brushed with vodka. Mazipan is spread over the cake and then icing is place over that. Please be aware when ordering your next eggless cake and make sure its also alcohol free!
  20. Councils will be sensitive when dealing with Community Centres owned by religious organisations. I cannot imagine they will force a Muslim community centre to serve alcohol. It's a smoke screen and shows the attitude of the Committee who are hiding behind the council rather than implemeting Gurdwara maryada.
  21. Email template to communityfacilities@north-ayrshire.gov.uk I am emailing you in regards to a ‘Sikh’ gathering which has been booked for 30th January 2010 at the Woodlands Centre (16 Kilwinning Road Irvine Ayrshire KA12 8RU) This gathering will involve bringing 'Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji', the Sikhs' Sacred Scripture, which the Sikhs regard with utmost reverence and sanctity. The Sikh's Supreme Authority ‘Sri Akal Takht Sahib’ has banned the Sacred Scripture, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, from being taken to places where there is alcohol, tobacco or meat served. It clearly has been said that Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is not allowed to be taking to party halls, hotels, pubs or bars. Therefore, this a clear violation of the Sikhs religious sentiments. There have been previous cases recently where certain ‘Sikh’ groups have disregarded the sanctity and sacredness of the Sikh's Scripture and have violated the edict of the Sikh supreme authority. These incidents have led to peaceful protests outside venues with Sikhs from across the UK coming to support these measures, and also police involvement. We hope you will also realise the seriousness of the issue and prevent the disrespect and violation sacred scripture, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, from happening by not allowing Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji onto your premises on 30th January 2010.
  22. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!! This issue was first highlighted on the following thread: http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/57990-hire-of-a-gurdwara-hall-beadbi/ A group known as Ayrshire Sikh Association (Scotland) hold a monthy diwan at the Woodlands Centre (16 Kilwinning Road Irvine Ayrshire KA12 8RU). This a community centre run by North Ayreshire Council which functions as hall available for any community bookings, which would permit alcohol and meat. The saroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is taken to these premises on a monthly basis. There is also a Gurdwara in Ayrshire which has been recently purchased by the local sangat, however due to some local issues Ayrshire Sikh Association do not associate with the only Guru Ghar in their town and carry on holding monthly diwans in the Woodlands Centre. The Woodlands Centre has been holding Sikh Diwans since 2003. In February 2010 the local Sangat were able to raise the finances to purchase a building to be their sole Gurdwara. With the hard work of the local sangat the Gurdwara was opened in October 2010. However. the Ayrshire Sikh Association (as an official body) are still holding monthly diwans in the Woodlands Centre and do not wish to attend the newly opened Gurdwara. The Gurdwara is around 1 mile from the Woodlands Centre. On Sunday 30th January 2011, Ayrshire Sikh Association will be holding their monthy diwan at the Woodlands Centre, where once again Maharaj's Saroop will be brought. It has been publicised as a landmark diwan: Newspaper Article The main issue is that the pavitar Saroop of Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is transported 40 miles from Glasgow every month and then taken to this council run community hall which would otherwise be involved in some non-Gurmat activities. There is also a local freelance Granthi in Ayreshire who involves himself with the monthly diwan Woodlands Centre. The whole intention of the local sikh sangat purchasing the Gurdwara building was to stop any beadbi which they felt was taking place over the 7 years. Whilst there is no denying of the sharda that the Ayrshire Sikh Association hold, taking the pavitar Saroop of Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to a place like Woodlands Centre is not only offensive and sacrilegous to Sikhs it is also in violation to Akal Takht Hukumanama of 1998. Pressure is being applied on the Ayrshire Sikh Association from some members of the UK Sikh Community to stop this beadbi and form a union with the local Guru Ghar, however Sangat pressure is now required to help resolve this issue. Please politetly email the management at Woodlands Centre and request that they refrain from hurting the sentiments of Sikhs by not allowing Ayrshire Sikh Association to bring Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji on their premises. Woodlands Centre 16 Kilwinning Road Irvine Ayrshire KA12 8RU communityfacilities@north-ayrshire.gov.uk (Email)
  23. Can someone from the Academy clarify the situation? Will the £150k stablize the Academy's finacial situation or does it mean that only the arrears will be paid off and there will still be need for further funding?
