Shahbaaz Khalsa, DSGPC remove Saroops from Hindu mandir Sunday 16th of July 2006 Panthic Weekly News Bureau New Delhi (KP) - Shahbaaz Khalsa and the Dharam Parchar wing of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DSGPC) took into possession two saroops of Sri Gruru Granth Sahib Ji that were being disrespected at a Hindu Mandir in New Delhi. In a joint effort, the saroops of Sri Gruru Granth Sahib Ji were removed from the ‘Hari Om Mandir’ in Lajpat Nagar in Delhi by the sevadars of both organizations. The 3 saroops, one in Gurmukhi, the other in Sindhi, were taken with the utmost respect by 40 to 50 Singhs to Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib. Shahbaaz Khalsa vice president Bhai Avtar Singh Delhi, DSGPC Dharam Parchar Committee chairman Bhai Tarsem Singh and vice chairman Bhai Avtar Singh Kalka, as well as many others Gursikhs were present during this occasion. The organizers noted that despite the fact that this Hindu mandir is situated in an affluent locality where most of the residents are well educated, the disrespect of the sacred saroops still continued to occur. The saroops of Sri Gruru Granth Sahib Ji were being kept next to idols of various Hindu deities. The pandit of the mandir used to preach to the congregation that the holy saroops were part of the Hindu faith. Those very rituals that Guru Nanak Dev Ji admonished, were being practiced shamelessly in the presence of the saroops. A written statement was issued to the management of the mandir warning them to refrain from such sacrilege in the future. There is no two ways about it. If a family have Guru Maharaj saroop in their house but the continue to drink alcohol, meat or tabbacco then they do not derserve to have Maharaj's saroop. We have to tackle this, its a long process but Guruji will guide their Singhs & Singhias.

Singh, you've got the wrong end of the stick :TH: This clip is when after one hour of peaceful protest, surronding the car that had Guru Maharaj withi a suitcase, 5 singhs were allowed to take Maharaj to Watford Gurdwara. Not to be negative but the sikhs doing the beadbi were all elders This is the state of the situation where youth have to teach elders about sadkar for Guru Maharaj. 2 months of discussion got nowhere with these lot. The main culprit was Rashpal Atwal from Watford. He was adament to doing this beadbi. They are rejected Watford Gurdwara Committee wannabes. They couldnt get their way at the Gurdwara so they set up a rival diwan! Atwal used Maharaj as a toy right to the end until Guru Maharaj himself told the Singhs & Singhias where he was It just shows the respect they have for Guru Maharaj. The kept Guruji in a metal case in a car for over an hour, Sunday's temperature was over 28c!!! The Granthis are likely to be Jagroop Singh from Hayes. He's a free lance Granthi and a common face at all Southall Gurdwaras. He was seen at the MRCC doing kirtan during the "diwan" in June 06.

However a small group of Individuals are still adamant that this programme will take place on 16th July 2006. How low can people get!!! The word committee member is dirty and the word renegade committee member is even worse!! I think we all can guess what kind of people these lot are who will take Guruji to the Hall. Need to break the pride of these people!!! Guruji is not a tool to get one up on the next man!!! Great posting by someone who is trying hard to justify stuff! Baba Jassa Singh Ramgarhia would have been the first to destroy the corruption that occurs under his name. Sorry to burst your bubble but Ramgarhia is associated with Caste! Jassa Singh Ramgarhia taught us that with Guruji kirpa the Khalsa can walk into thr Red Fort Dehli and take away 2 bungas and the Mogul king's Inauguration throne and bring it as a bheta to Harmindar Sahib! In other words Baba Jassa Singh Ramgarhia stood up against corruption, something that is ripe in Ramgarhia Gurdwaras.

We all need to understand that Gurbani must not be placed on any item that is disposable, cards, posters & calenders especially. This is a seva everyone can do. If your relative has a programme where they will be sending invites them please educate them as to not have Gurbani on the invites. Also programme organisers must not put Gurbani on Posters. As far as I know DTF used to "sell" Maharaj Saroops but not anymore.

Break out of this mould! By saying its external forces we are letting people within our community off the hook! People like Neville Road Gurdwara Committee Members are just as manipulative as these Fundementalists. When Gursikhs went down to see them about the state of the SachKhand & Banqueting Halls they called the police! However by pin pointing the External Enemy they are in the clear and supportive to the cause. Dont take my comments as bashing, rather SAS will need to evolve to incorporate many issues where Sikhi is manipulated and misrepresented, prime example Neville Road are using Golak money & Gurdwara Property to open banqueting halls. You cant turn a blind eye to other Issues. Its all part of the same picture.

We dont need to reduce to this level where we end up using our kakkars to mock others. Guruji gave Gursikhs the kirpan to fight against tyranny. With this same kirpan Hindu Rajas & Massands were brought to justice aswell. Dont think Guruji gave us a kirpan to use against one kaum. This is the order of the 10th master. But what do we see….trimmed beards of sangat kirtanees and committee members who drink alcohol and eat meat, making bombastic, hypocritical speeches. How can these masands that don’t adhere to the 10th master’s rehit, inspire the youth to live by Khalsa rehit? This is very sad. The 10th master is very hurt by this. Remember that my 10th Master said that the rehit is dearer to him than the sikh. 3. Every misl sikh who cooks the langar and serves it must be an AMRITDHARI. This is the order of the 10th master. 4. The 10th master says that on the Gurdwara signs, the words Gurdwara Sahib must appear in English and Punjabi. ‘Sikh Temple’ and ‘Board’ are unacceptable. 5. Why are Namdharis allowed to hold functions in Ramgharia Gurdwara Sahibs? Namdharis believe in pakhandee gurus. This is anti-gurmat. Stop this practice now! 6. When was the last time a Ramgharia Gurdwara Sahib held a BIG AMRIT SANCHAAR ? The order of the 10th master is to publish a list of dates of amrit sanchars every month, throughout the year and to display it clearly on the notice boards. This way, the devotee can be OFFERED AMRIT AND NOT ASK FOR IT. This is an urgent order of the 10TH master. 7. Most worrying of all, how can the misl descendents fund a ‘Ramgharia Hall’ in which there is alcohol, meat and lewd dancing, that all increase ones kaam, krodh, lobh, moh and ahankaar. Shame on you all! Have you told the sangat that the ‘golak’ money is funding this illicit activity? I have seen with my own eyes, drunks outside Ramgharia Hall, Graham St Birmingham (that bears my name), Ramgharia Hall Slough and Ramgharia Board Leeds. This is the ultimate beadbi of the adjacent Gurdwara Sahib of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and of Sikhi itself. Tears are welling up in my eyes as I think about this beadbi. If a hall is built under the Ramgharia Misl name …the 10th master has said use it for Khalsa pursuits like Punjabi classes, kirtan classes, Sikhi discussion forums, Gurbani vichhar and Gatka / self defence / keep fit exercises ONLY. How dare the misl put a khanda on a building with the words Ramgharia on it and then defile the satguru’s khanda and the Ramgharia title with unclean and sinful activity within it, like meat eating, alcohol and lewd music and dancing. Shame on you masand serpents who do this. You will surely feel the wrath of the khanda of the 10th master at the time of your deaths and be tossed into the pit of hell. As I write this the exalted spirit of Bhai Sukha Singh Kalsi has just come to visit me. He was the one who beheaded Masand Massa Ranghar for turning the Harimandir Sahib Ji into a <admin-profanity filter activated>-house where lewd dancing, alcohol and meat were consumed. Bhai Sukha Singh has just informed me that Ramgharia Halls had better clean up their acts or else he’ll have to take birth to sort out the modern day masands who run these disgraceful and sinful halls, BY MISAPPROPRIATING GURDWARA SAHIB FUNDS. 8. The satguru says have projectors and screens to translate gurbani for the children during the Gurdwara Sahib services. 9. The 10th satguru is particularly hurt to see that the Misl has forgotten its incredible martial traditions and does not hold gatka classes. Everyone is on the multifaith bandwagon. We are foolish enough to believe there is never any ulteria motive. There is absolutely not doubt that Ramdev puts on a good show, very evangelistical. Yoga is not the issue here. Swami is charging bucks for his sessions, why does his class cost so much in the West?? There is exploitation of those sitting in the UK inticed by TV. Swami values differ in the UK, basically Yoga will cost YOU loads of money.

Jatts, Tarlkhans, Khatri's, Chooraah's etc etc have all been vieing for my blood.....and you have the nerve to say this. You are unbelievable.........counter my argument, but don't get personal. Singh_392 , It's a shame you're not going to post again. You do have some valid points. To some people the problem is small to some people it is big. It's like a rummala on the floor in a Gurdwara, someone might be upset by seeing the sight and pick the rummalla up whereas some people may not bother noticing it and walk past. We all see with different eyes. Some see something as beadbi and some people don't! This issue is not about what hand should you put a kara on. Its about a place that claims to be a Gurdwara but doesnt keep to the Maryada set by our Gurus. Instead people see ingornance of maryada as a progressive thing. Ramgarhia or Singh Sabha, doesnt matter if your not doing seva as Maharaj said then its Manmat.

There's no justification to call Gurdwaras after castes. Castes are non-existant in Gurbani and Rehit. This post show the attitude that Sikhs have towards their own religion. We all think we know better than Guruji. Any idea or discussion about reverting back to GurMaryada is regarded as backwards. Well sorry to say but Gurdwaras have to take this "backward" step in order for them to be as per our Gurus prescribed. This is not nonsense, this is highlighting the state of our community. Strong Sikhs address issues facing the Panth. One major issue we face is blatant ignorance and manipulation of Rehit Maryada. Rehit Maryada is based upon Sikh Principles enshirined in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. If the "ramgarhia" community attempted to address the issue of not getting on Gurdwara Commitees by opening their own Gurdwaras, then whats happened to them now?? Why dont they have the guts to implement Maryada, change the Gurdwara names?? They wont do this because now it is a Panthic issue rather than a personal one. When people were not allowed to become Committee members they saw this as a personal insult and that drove them to open Gurdwaras. Now the insult is towards Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji & Khalsa Panth, thats not personal so its okay to carry on the beadbi!! Their is no bigger issue to discuss than the manipulation of GurMaryada!!
