  1. Thanks for the post, Harminder Singh. The motives of these Faridabad heretics are totally exposed. Is this how they respect Sri Guru Granth Sahib? Shame on them! Sorry to say but these goats should be shipped to Hazoor Sahib. Bhai Manpreet Singh knew what was coming ahead of him and like a true Singh he didnt deter to give the deserved respect to the banee of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib. By standing for the Guru and his banee Bhai Manpreet Singh has earned the respect of the Panth!
  2. http://www.tribuneindia.com/2009/20091118/main3.htm <P align=center>Jhinda, associates declared tankhayia Varinder Singh Tribune News Service President of HGPC (ad hoc) Jagdish Singh Jhinda (second from right) at Akal Takht on Tuesday. Photo: Vishal Kumar Amritsar, November 17 The five Sikh high priests have not only accorded tankha (religious punishment) to the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (HSGPC-Adhoc) chief Jagdish Singh Jhinda and four of his associates in the September 13 Kurukshetra gurdwara row, they have also directed a former Akal Takht Jathedar, Prof Darshan Singh, to appear before Akal Takht on December 5 and explain his alleged blasphemous remarks against Guru Gobind Singh. At the same time, the five Sikh high priests led by the Akal Takht Jathedar, Giani Gurbachan Singh, have also directed Sikhs and Sikh organisations like Singh Sabhas, societies to not allow Prof Darshan Singh to speak from any stage till he offers a clarification and explanation in respect of his alleged remarks against Guru Gobind Singh. The five Sikh high priests have also directed the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) chief Parmjit Singh Sarna to explain his alleged act of not allowing Delhi-based Sikh leader Kuldip Singh Bhogal to hold akhand paths to seek early justice for 1984 riot victims in New Delhi. Sarna has been given 10 days to offer his explanation. On the other hand, taking a tough stance regarding the controversial remarks made allegedly by Prof Darshan Singh during one of his discourses at Rachester Gurdwara in New York recently, the SGPC chief Avtar Singh has asserted that since the former Akal Takht Jathedar has indulged in an act of “blasphemy” against the 10th Guru, he will not be allowed to speak publicly at any place. Giani Gurbachan Singh and other high priests, including Balwant Singh Nandgarh, Tarlochan Singh, Iqbal Singh, and Jaswinder Singh, had already found Jhinda and his associates, Kanwaljit Singh Ajrana, Avtar Singh Chakku, Hazoor Singh Nambardar and Joga Singh Yamunanagar, “guilty” of “misconduct” in the Kurukshetra gurdwara row during their October 14 meeting but they had reserved their judgement. Pronouncing their judgement in the presence of Jhinda and his associates, the five Sikh high priests directed Jhinda and others to peform sewa for five days each at Akal Takht, Takht Keshgarh Sahib, Takht Damdama Sahib and at Gurdwara Chhevin Patshahi in Kurukshetra. During their 20-day long tankah period, Jhinda and others will be listening to kirtan for one hour every day apart from undertaking an hour-long bartan sewa (cleaning of utensils). They would also be cleaning shoes of visiting devotees for one hour every day. On the concluding and 21st day of their tankah, Jhinda and others would be appearing before Akal Takht where they will have to make an ardas apart from offering ‘deg’ of Rs 1,100 to seek atonement for their religious “misconduct”. Each of the five Haryana Sikh leaders will also be offering ‘deg’ worth Rs 500 at all the three other religious places. Jhinda and others have said they would start the sewa from November 21. “We have all the respect for Akal Takht,” said Jhinda and others. Turning a bit defiant, Jhinda and his associates, who have been clarifying that they had done nothing wrong and had just taken over ‘sewa sambhal’ of the Kurukshetra gurdwara for a few hours on September 13, asserted that they would continue to do so in near future also. “The issue was blown out of proportion. Come what may, we will form the separate Sikh body for the Haryana gurdwaras. The Haryana Sikhs will also initiate an agitation if the Nanakshahi calendar was amended or revoked by the Sikh priests or by the SGPC. The Nanakshahi calendar is very important for maintaining a separate Sikh identity,” they asserted.
  3. Thanks for posting this. Makes a lot of sense seeing how Ragi has behaved in the recent past. Changing masters, changing faith - A turncoat If possible can you post the page number of the book.
  4. <P align=center>Controversial Discourse Sikh clergy to listen to CD today Varinder Singh Tribune News Service Amritsar, November 16 Five Sikh high priests, led by Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh, will listen to a CD containing the alleged blasphemous remarks uttered by the former Akal Takht Jathedar, Prof Darshan Singh, during one of his recent discourses in New York, at a meeting at Akal Takht tomorrow. The CD was given to the Akal Takht Jathedar by “sangats” of New York in support of their complaints against Darshan Singh during the former’s visit there. Sources said after listening to the CD, the Sikh high priests would decide whether to summon Darshan Singh at Akal Takht to clarify his position or not. Damdami Taksal has also lodged a complaint with the high priests against Darshan Singh. “We will decide upon any action after listening to the recording of a programme of Darshan Singh at our meeting tomorrow. We have received a number of complaints in this regard from New York and other places,” said Giani Gurbachan Singh. However, Darshan Singh said he was ready to appear before Akal Takht whenever asked to do so and “not before any person in particular”. “It seems that some sort of action is being contemplated against me under pressure from certain quarters. I am ready to present myself before Akal Takht. I will invite the entire panth to come there and answer all questions asked to me in their presence,” said Darshan Singh.
  5. ....and the only winners are Babbu Mann and his Album producers. Just imagine how many copies they might have sold until now. Those who think Babbu Mann has some religious agenda are mislead. his only aim is to sell albums. And has become quite successful in that.
  6. http://www.ajitjalan...1112/punjab.php (scroll down) Sant Samaj brands Darshan as Akirtghan (ungrateful), Guru Nindak, and one who changes color with time.
  7. This missionary gentleman had already been summoned by Akal Takhat in 2003 for questioning Ardas, Amrit Banees in his own writings and for publishing Bhag Singh's book... http://patshahi10.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=56:surjit-singh-missionary-summoned-at-sri-akal-takhat-sahib&catid=36:hukamnamas&Itemid=74 ..just reminds me of dog's tail that can never be straightened
  8. The 'fans' of Dilgeer can listen to his 'Dilgeeriyan', or I should say 'Kaleafghaniyaan', here: http://www.panthic.org/NewsBytes What a shame, that such traitors are still considered as 'intellectuals' of mainstream Sikhi!
  9. Gurbilas Patshahi 6 is a part of Sikh heritage. Kale Afghanaiye dont belive in that. But they dont belive in anything else, so it doesnt matter. There is a lot that can be extracted and learnt from such collections of Sikh heritage and history. I am sure Darshan will be doing keertan in Delhi again this year. Its a shame, isnt it?
  10. All bogus pracharaks....its not difficult for Sikh Channel to filter sikh from anti-sikh material....just scan a couple of anti-sikh websites (dont even want to write their names here). Those who write there should be filtered! Sarna and party are hand in glove with these guru nindaks...Darshan ragi goes every year during Guru Gobind Singh Sahib's gurpurab and talks filth about Guru's bani...Jachak was invited too and he did the same. One of my friends from Delhi who watched the keertan LIVE on TV last year told me that he was very distressed to watch Darshan's anti bani sermon...he said there was no need for Darshan to rake up the issue on the gurpurab when thousands of people come there to celebrate. But these guru nindak's aim is to confuse and cause distress. They dont work towards disseminating love and shardha
  11. Sounds like Gurbachan Thailandwala, a strong proponent of Kala Afghana cult.... An explanation should be demanded from The Sikh Channel for inviting such heretics....
  12. http://www.panthic.org/articles/3830 HALL OF SHAME : THE HERETICS IN THE PANTH BAKSHI ATAMJOT SINGH When Socrates was given a choice to either escape from the prison, or face execution by drinking the poison hemlock he preferred the latter. He believed in what he had preached. And he didn't deter to lay his life for those principles. He didn't want to be seen as a hypocrite among his followers. He died defending his principles. Hypocrisy and compromising their own principles doesn't seem to be a big problem for some Sikh preachers who, for unknown reasons, flip-flop on their own preaching and belief. Prof. Darshan Singh has become the latest person to defy his own belief on Gurbani. By doing so he has joined the ranks of Bhag Singh, Principal Harbhajan Singh, Harjinder Singh Dilgeer and Gurtej Singh who also backtracked from their earlier belief and faith on the bani of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib. It is a fact that if a person wants to become a Sikh he will have to be baptized using the banis of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and Sri Dasam Granth Sahib. And It is also a fact that if a person wants to talk about the Khalsa principles, the concept of Saint-Soldier and the life of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib he will have to quote from the Dasam Bani as well. One cannot put the Sikh history and belief into perspective without quoting from the sacred bani of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib. From the changing stance of some of the above mentioned writers and pracharaks on the Dasam Bani one thing, though a bit puzzling, is becoming quite evident. Those who had grudges on the functioning of SGPC or the role of our Jathedars on handling different panthic issues, more often justified than being imaginary, aimed their guns towards the Dasam Bani as well. Whereas Sri Guru Granth Sahib contains references to the figures from Hindu mythology, Sri Dasam Granth Sahib contains explanatory references to these figures. No wonder this scripture can be and has been misused by those Sikhs who want to blackmail fellow Sikhs, and by those Hindu hardliners who want to disprove Sikh's separate identity. What Sri Akal Takhat Sahib is to Sri Harimandir Sahib: Sri Dasam Granth Sahib is to Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Whatever is not said, recited and placed inside Sri Harimandir Sahib, is done at Sri Akal Takhat Sahib. Both are complementary to each other and are the embodiment of the Saint-Soldier concept of the Khalsa. It was the wisdom of Gurmukhs like Bhai Kahn Singh, Bhai Vir Singh, Master Tara Singh, Bhai Randhir Singh, Prof. Puran Singh, Giani Ditt Singh etc who could defend the Arya Samajist onslaughts against the bani of Guru Gobind Singh Ji with great vigor. What Kaal, Mahakaal, Kalika and other names mean in Guru Sahib's bani has been extensively explained a century ago by these Gurmukhs(1). How the non-Sikhs particularly Hindus interpreted the meaning of these terms at that time, is now being interpreted by these rebellious Sikhs. A simple mathematical equation puts these Sikhs into the same shoes as those of the Hindu fundamentalists of that time. Blindly ignoring the primary dates of the completion of the individual compositions mentioned in the Dasam Bani(2), and un-acknowledging the great effort of Bhai Mani Singh Ji in the compilation of Guru Sahib's bani after his demise, recently Dr. Dilgeer was quoted saying that the Dasam Bani was compiled by the British, centuries after the death of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib. The same Dr. Dilgeer while serving as the Director of the Sikh Research Board considered Chandi Di Vaar (Source of Ardas) and Chaupai Sahib (Source of Amrit Sanchar and Nitnem) as the writing of The Tenth Master(3). After he was unceremoniously removed from the post he aimed his guns towards his own beliefs. Now he travels around criticizing the SGPC along with the Dasam Bani. Gurtej Singh (ex-IAS) was conferred the title of 'Prof. of Sikhism' by SGPC for his panthic services during the 1980s. Until recently he understood the importance of the Dasam Bani in instilling the warrior spirit in the Khalsa. However, under some unknown pressure, he too aimed his guns towards the Dasam Bani as a result the honor with which he was once bestowed was repealed by the panth. Another classic case of the abandoning the faith on Dasam Bani is that of Principal Harbhajan Singh (Shaheed Sikh Missionary College). He has numerous articles and books written in the glory of the bani of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib. Interestingly he was the one who in his writings often addressed Sri Dasam Granth as Sri Dasam Guru Granth Sahib. Then came another book written by octogenarian Principal Harbhajan Singh which was a complete U-turn from his own earlier writings. In that book he not only rejected the Dasam Bani but also used derogatory language against it. Before he could be asked to explain his detraction from his earlier stance, he passed away. But the latest and the most surprising member of 'The Hall of Shame' is Prof Darshan Singh Ragi. He had been a casualty of his own blasphemy. Darshan Singh, while in his heydays as a panthic ragi and during the peak years of Punjab's political crisis used to perform keertan and katha from Dasam Bani instilling that warrior spirit among the youth for which the bani was written and composed. He has now started chopping his roots by questioning his own beliefs. Last year when the whole panth was celebrating the Prakash Utsav of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Darshan Singh from a historic Gurdwara associated with Guru Teg Bahadur's martyrdom ceased the opportunity to publicly declare his abdication from the panthic values and his own faith and spewed venom against the bani of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib. This is amusing because until quite recently Darshan Singh was performing keertan and katha from Dasam Bani, and was positively propagating its true meaning and advising sangat to read the banis in Sri Dasam Granth Sahib. His sudden U-turn from what he preached earlier has come as a big surprise. He was either wrong earlier or is wrong now. If he was correct earlier and is wrong now then he is a hypocrite and a charlatan. If he was wrong before, then he is untrustworthy. Belief and faith is something intrinsic to the existence and welfare of a community. In a bound fabric of religious dogmas, individual views come secondary to the primary beliefs of the community. And every claimant of a religious community ought to honor that collective wisdom. Sikh history is full of examples where people preferred to sacrifice their life in order to uphold the glory of their faith. Compromising the faith and turning around from ones beliefs is not only un-Sikh but is immoral and unethical too. Those who propagate disbelief, skepticism and suspicion with the aim of creating confusions, are always pushed to the fringes. They remain disgraced and ostracized only to look back and ponder upon their wrong deeds. 13. If this story was the reason of his opposing Sri Dasam Granth, then he should reconsider his actions because no such story exists in entire Sri Dasam Granth, and he too hasnt been able to pin point the source of such a story... Keeping the fairness, JUS Punjabi invited him to present his views and he failed to give reference to his sermons. Interestingly in the second run of the programme he couldnt even recite the Charitars properly... I agree these Guru Nindaks should be tackled once in for all. And exposing their lies, like this, is a way to tackle them.
  14. Sardar Lamba has used the Naagani of Gurmat and taken down the drunk elephant....All respect for that. Apparently Darshan has made some hardcore fans over the years in NY region by regularly touring that part of the the US and giving anti Dasam Bani sermons....and there was NO ONE who stood against him.... I have heard that these hooligans were protesting against Sardar Lamba on his back when he was inside the studio conducting the programme. After the programme was finished and he came out, these same guys became quite 'humble'.... But their protest could be understood...also the Mughals were not happy seeing their elephant being defeated...
  15. This is how Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha answers this question in 'Hum Hindu Nahin' http://patshahi10.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=97:q-q-&catid=35:punjabi-&Itemid=64#
  16. Darshan Ragi has proven himself to be a Charlton, a Guru-nindak and a traitor of the panth. When Gurtagaddi celebrations were going on in Nanded, he declared that until the Prakash of Sri Dasam Granth is removed from Hazoor Sahib he will wear a black robe. A few days ago while doing keertan in Indianapolis he was wearing a flashy, silky, creamy kurta-payjama....What a lier and joker he is! Throughout his career he has played with the emotions of the sangat, and he continues to do so. While serving as Akal Takhat Jathedar he was once admitted to a hospital in Amritsar and he asked the doctor on duty to provide him with whisky. He told the doctor that he is habituated to have a glass of alcohol every evening. The doctor is very close to a senior official of SGPC who communicated this information. Its a shame that just because of his anti Badal rhetoric, which also has a political rather than religious undertone, the Sarna brothers are supporting this Guru-Nindak by giving him stage to spew venom against Sikh principles. They give him stage to do keertan....and instead of doing keertan he gives discourses condemning Dasam Bani... He carries a big sri sahib wherever he goes...and the concept of Shaster, Sri Sahib, Kirpan, Khadag comes ONLY from Sri Dasam Granth! What a Charlton!
  17. S S Deod What does a debate with ABC or XYZ has to do with the topic of this thread? Or for that matter to the subject of Dasam Bani.... Who cares if some junky doesnt believe in Dasam Bani? He is answerable to his own deeds. That you once 'again' on this forum brought this 'appeal' for a 'debate' with your 'ABC/XYZ big brother' was a serious flaw. And keep Charitropakhyan away from your sarcasms if you cant understand its content. Your sarcasm only proves that you dont care to understand, and already have your prejudices.
  18. Sahib_Bindra, arent you the one who is often posting on this forum something in support, defence of Sarna Brothers... Well that makes quite a lot of sense now... Sarna was humiliated at Hazur Sahib when Manmohan Singh's security personnel 'forced' him off the stage when he went there and sat with the PM without being asked. Your current post has a strong undertone of that incident.
  19. They have nothing to do with RSS. They are localites who play music outside the complex for generations...a topi and shirt is also what Marathis wear... Who told you that? With your logic Sri Guru Granth Sahib is also a controversial issue because Namdharis dont belive in its Guruship. Now with your logic The Vatican has altered all the practices in Gurdwaras of Europe and The Queen of England has altered the practices in the Gurdwaras of England Maybe you could have gone there as a Shardhavan Sikh and not like heretic Ragi Darshan
  20. Notorious organisation SikhRi has recently announced the launch of its new 'business' under the name of Punjab Digital Library...I call it business because its nothing more than a business. The documents etc are not accessible unless one has a paid subscription...And they are selling this new launch under the name of 'seva' etc....they have, of course, collected material from scores of private collectors and now they want to cash on that collection. This topic apart, while browsing through their shop I came across Guru Gobind Singh Sahib's signatures which they are selling for 20 USD....And very meticulously they have distorted the signatures by removing the 'siri sahib' from top of the signatures.... Do they have the right to change Guru Sahib's signatures? In most of the hukanmamas Guru Sahib made a small Siri Sahib on top of "Ik Onkar Satguru Prasad"...and this embodies the concept of Sant-Sipahi. By engaging in such a blasphemy does SikhRI want to redefine Sikh ethos or they would instead be humble enough to accept another fault and apologise. Here is the picture of the distorted signatures http://www.nanakshah...b2fb88a4ec9aa3a Here are some pics of Guru Sahib's hukamnams..scroll down to see the one in its original form which SikhRI/PDL has distorted. http://patshahi10.or...erhs&Itemid=106
  21. One of the best analogies, I have ever read, to address these Guru Nindaks!
  22. Sharing this historic piece of work.. ------------------- This article by Sirdar Kapur Singh was first published in 1959 in SGPC's monthly journal "Gurmat Parkash" in response to an earlier article by Prof. Ramprakash Singh (Khalsa College, Amritsar). In his article, Prof Ramprakash Singh had claimed that the reference of Noop Kuer (Anup Kaur) in Charitropakhyan was based on a real life incident that happened with Guru Gobind Singh Sahib. Sirdar Kapur Singh rebutted that claim based on the contention that the reference of Noop Kuer narrated by Guru Sahib in Charitropakhyan was a folklore and had no historic significance. This article by Sirdar Sahib was again published in 1993 and we are pleased to present this to our readers, as the first in the series of articles, which will help understand the significance of Charitropakhyan http://patshahi10.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=304:2009-07-06-10-01-34&catid=35:punjabi-&Itemid=64
  23. Ridiculous.. Why should anyone anyways care about what a lunatic thinks or says. He ridiculed Jaap Sahib by writing his own mock mini version. Discussions/Debates are not the ways of dealing with such heretics and Guru Dokhis. Leave him to his ill fate. People should also stop being his spokespersons and do something constructive
