Veer, financial crisis and peak oil are 2 different things but are closely linked to each other. Infact I feel peak oil is one of the big factors behind the current financial crisis( people just look at the current low oil prices and feel happy, these people are being fooled). I personally feel the current financial crisis is going to delay the destruction and anarchy caused by peak oil. Its pretty hard to predict about when the energy will go down. I personally feel Khande baate de pahul is the 'prithan rehit' (according to a rehitnama). I feel the key is 4 cardinal sins... Dear WBA, I have travelled quite a bit of world as well and have met with very good professors and technical people and my personal experience is that unless u have a very good degree and a good knowledge of work skills, dastaar is not an issue, otherwise it is an issue. I have turbanded friends working in software industry in India and they face no problem but the ones in finance or banking have some problems, the ones who have to deal with clients. Companies prefer monaa guys for client deals... All the info I am giving is first hand and is not fake.... Then I wear a round dastaar and when I was in Delhi I dint get a room due to my dastaar and my Sri Sahib.... Its not all that easy. Actually, i asked this question to a pretty nice amritdhari and he told me that if an amritdhari does not keep a good rehit, he will be beaten by maya and will get patitt sooner or later. I agree rehit is the key to a spiritual jeevan but if one is weak in rehit, will that person get pattitt ? To be bit more clear, what that person meant was that the 4 bajjar kurehits are the 4 special evils of Maya and unless one keeps an ok rehit, one will be beaten and will get pattitt.

Are there non-amritdhari punjabi people or people belonging to other faiths who dont commit the 4 cardinal sins mentioned in Sikh rehat maryada ?

During Guru jee's time, amrit was given on merit. Satguru jee decided whom to give amrit and not.. These days, there is no merit. A person chakks amrit, committ bajjar kurehit and again goes and chakk amrit from a different place. Many people chakk amrit for serving in Gurdwaras etc. Recently Sukhbir Badal also chakked amrit for political gains. So Sukhbir Bada is a sikh and the guy mentioned in the above post is not sikh... I personally feel this guy shud be chakking amrit, but still he is some sort of sikh to me..

There is a person whose entire family is communist and atheist. The guy was an athiest all his life and believed in 'survival of the fittest theory' and considered religion to be just one of the clever ways of earning money and belonging to a group for protection. When he was 28, he started to read about sikhi and he got so inspired that he started to believe in God. He only bows his head in front of Guru Granth Sahib Jee Maharaj Jee. He does not committ the 4 cardinal sins, does mool mantarr paath at 5 a.m and I guess has started to do nitnem as well...He loves shastars and always keeps a big Sri Sahib in his car. For him, the biggest quality he sees in a person is honest and simple lifestyle and avoiding 4 cardinal sins. He does not want to chakk amrit as he feels amritdharis are hypocrites, commit cardinal sins and chakk amrit again... avoid kirt. Now, is this guy a sikh ? He is not an amritdhari and does not want to be one.

Thats very true... Police totallly supported the delhi massacre in 84. Most of the rioting or genocides are carried out by gundaas and the police takes money from these gundaas and has links with them. Its all a connected chain of MAYA.

i heard some comparison thing too on sahara last week. a guy was saying that ek aur bhinderanwale kharaa kar diya hai enho nee. Thats all crap Indian Media.... I feel in the last few centuries, a very clever agendaa has been going on where the singhnis are just made to believe that they are supposed to serve their husbands and by doing so, they will get rewards. This is a very very clever trick that is being played.. This trick is played by INSECURE men because: 1. They are jealous to see singhnis at equal power with them.. 2. They want a wife whom they can control. These people have shortcomings in them but want their wives to respect them like God. These people dont know that respect is EARNED, not forced.. 3. This trick is also played by clever old men to control their daughters-in-law. These people suffer from Moh of their son. I think the best solution to all this mess is to look at our Itihaas. The 40 muktaas who are mentioned everyday in Ardas and are great shaheeds, were given bangles by their wives. This means that during the time of Dashmesh Pita, singhnis enjoyed full freedom, they did not submit before any authority other than their Guru. If their husband did something anti-gurmat, these great singhnis gave them bangles. These singhnis just performed their worldly duty as wives but deep within their heart, they regarded Akal Purakh as their Husband.. These days we complain that women dont wear dastaar. We give this clever reason that singhnis and singhs are equal, so singhnis shud wear dastaar. Before saying this, we shud start to treat them as equal in our day to day lives.

I'm trying to imagine that...lol... But hey...It's a personal choice...I mean at least they are covering their heads... I have seen quite a few urban keshadhari people in Delhi do what u are saying. FOR AN AMRITDHARI, it is SHAMEFUL(and such an amritdhari is accountable to sangat, its not his personal life) For just a keshadhari, well.. its his personal choice. During my college years, I met a similar person with beard and kesh and he used a rumaal type thing. He was a follower of Osho. People need to understand that a person with a kesh on his head and beard does not make him a sikh. Unless a person is claiming to be a sikh, he shud have full freedom to have a rumaal type thing on his head.

2 wrongs dont make a right. Christians are wrong in converting hindus with lalach and VHP are equally wrong in converting these people back with FEAR. Supporting the stand of VHP is not only shameful but it will give disgrace to sikhs and will separate the sikhs from the minorities of India.... Sikhs need to establish good PRACTICAL diplomatic political relations with people like Raj Thackrey. Make some gursikh friends who are anakhi and not greedy(kachriyaan seoo torr...... dhonnnd sajjan sant pakkiyaan) and will stand by u in tough times. 2. Store food and weapons. Teach basic gatka to all women, and young kids.... 3. Start to memorize lots of baani and start to read lots of Dasam Bani. Make Chandi di vaar, first part of Shastar Naam Maalaa a part of your nitnem and if possible read "sri kaal je ke ustatt" which is at the starting of Sri Bachitar Natak. 4. Keep a strong pehraa of Sarbloh bibek and always remain shastardhaari.... 5. If u are living in a place that is very cold, u need to think about relocating. Choose a place that has a moderate climate, plenty of rainfall, less population density and has a good growing season.. 6. Start to learn some gardening skills 7. Bring your body in shape.. It's only a tough time if you beleive it is, theres no need for anyone to worry.Those imbued in the love for God are kept happy in all ages. Its not about worrying, its about being aware of whats happening around you. thats it.. I have been writing this doomish stuff for about 8 months I think and what ever I wrote is coming true. I wrote about "decling value of college education and not to get into debt" and u know what thats exactly what has happened. Young adults in north america have been ruined by debt. I really dont want to get into any debates. I will just post some news once in a week or so..............

Despite the fact that G-7 taxpayers will be stuck with $3.5 trillion of liabilities to support their governments' bailout plans, the stock markets nevertheless bustled with euphoria. The next day, reality dawned once again, and all markets closed down. The truth is that these enormous bailouts enacted around the world, most notably in the United States, have done little or nothing to tackle the enormous deleveraging that is driving us into a serious recession and, if badly handled, a depression. Increasingly, politicians and commentators are talking about the need for a massive, new stimulus package, likely to cost trillions more dollars. The extraordinary thing is that virtually no one dares even to mention the real underlying problem--that America has for the past thirty years been consuming more than it produces. During that time, the American consumer, accounting for 72 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), has been financed from the retained earning of foreigners, most notably of China, Japan and more recently Russia. Based on the willingness of these foreign producers to provide the funds, Americans have engaged in an orgy of easy credit and excessive consumption. In short, America is no longer paying its way, and is living off the earnings of its economic neighbors. It is a rake's progress and can not last much longer, especially as the creditor nations, such as China, will soon need their own money back in order to finance their own leap to 'developed' economy status. Millions of words have been spoken over the last month alone about how America must solve its economic and financial problems. But the stark realities that will result from massive deleveraging in the face of a massive recession have been barely considered. Apparently, no one dares to mention it. We feel our readers should maintain an acute awareness of these underlying problems, particularly as the Presidential candidates, financial regulators and Wall Street cheerleaders appear bent on concealing the underlying truth. The $3.5 trillion thus far committed to lubricate the credit markets have yet to produce any meaningful result. Even that vast total is unlikely to be sufficient to meet the tidal wave of bad loans yet to hit the banking system. As the massive Bush-Greenspan credit orgy deleverages, corporate profitability is likely to fall dramatically, driving stock prices still lower, further eroding personal retirement accounts. Once confronted with unemployment and bleak prospects, even those who have been model financial citizens will be forced to default on credit card debts, auto and personal loans and, of course, home mortgages. The tsunami of defaults crashing into our banking sector will ultimately overwhelm all government attempts to contain the damage. As the mighty American economy shrinks, other countries, such as China, will see their export earnings fall. They may have to sell parts of their vast holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds, driving still higher the cost of dramatically increased U.S. Government borrowing. On average and adjusting for inflation, U.S. equities have under-performed badly in this century. This will continue until America restructures itself to produce more than it consumes. Meanwhile, the short-term Treasury bonds of hard currency governments, some offering negative yields, will continue to perform well in capital appreciation against the U.S. dollar. China is likely to experience genuine, profitable systemic growth. However, in 2008 its stock market has fallen by some fifty percent. As a result, China and the BRIC countries could present good investment opportunities as we move into 2009. As the recession deepens, gold could fall in price, at least in the near to medium term. But, the world's financial system will remain precariously balanced for some time, which will create a floor for gold. Furthermore, the vast amounts of 'monopoly' money now being injected into the major economies will eventually show up as inflation, possibly even threatening the viability of paper currency. Prudent investors will continue to hold a major allocation in gold.
