  5. Oh Vaheguru... i remember that too. Im a big Sarab Sanjhi Gurbani fan coz their cassettes and CD's were absolutely beautiful. I remember the first one i heard which was Vatan Lamiya Te Rasta Pahaar Da (Dharmik) by Bhai Harjinder Singh Sri Nagar Wale... and T-Series released their version - SSG version was so much better. Beautiful keertan above
  6. A truly inspirational interview by Sukha Singh. Please keep on this path of the double edged sword and continue to inspire like you have been doing bruv. See u soon.
  7. B. "Singh", I suggest you change your name. You are no "Singh" of Guru Jee. You just stood (or danced) by and let our Guru Jee be exploited and mistreated by a baba and his b... dog.
  8. ok the title of Guru was around BEFORE Sikhi came to light. I dont think this guy is saying he is Guru Nanak or even a successor... just that he has obtained wisdom from Guru Nanak Dev Jee... was not yours... who was not mine... who not the Hindus... who was not the Sikhs... but was everyones. A Guru of Humanity.
  9. more sites... more keertan... more chance of people downloading the keertan... therefore, more awareness of Gurbani You can have a site with keertan... but theres a limit to how much can be downloaded from the website server! So if theres more sites with the same keertan, it lightens the load for each website because its more spread out.
  10. Scriptures is not good enough! Our Guru is not a Scripture! Guru Granth Sahib Ji is our living Guru and we dont even have the balls to tell the bbc that! I dont want to sway too much from the topic at hand here - although you are quite right in what you are saying. I dont think its a perfect change from book to scriptures. To us Guru Granth Sahib Jee is jagati-jyot. Guru Jee is living. We have been taught and we have seen... we have felt... we have experienced that Guru Jee is so much more than scriptures or a book. But with the general public, you cant force them to see other wise. Educate and advise, yes. Enforce? No. News media will TRY and write things in black and white. And those who see things in black and white and dont look beyond their eyes, will see only scriptures. Sorry, forgive my mistakes.
  11. WAHEGUROO BBC have changed the word BOOK to SCRIPTURES... also read SS NEWS : http://www.sikhsangat.org/ssn/publish/Engl..._Ek_Niwas.shtml

  14. Vaheguroooo  Maharaj, please keep her safe and sound. I pray that she is found is soon.
  15. LoL! Thats true! People in India would call us all crazy...
  16. i'm sorry buh that might not be necessarily a good thing. there have been cases where inappropriate actions were done by some taking the cover of darkness. Yeh i know what u saying. Ive heard stories too but why should the masses have to suffer at the hands of a few. I get what ure saying and i guess there are downsides to dimming the lights as well
  17. I would have thought this was a bit straight forward... 1. It stops you looking around at other people or fancy paintings on the wall etc. 2. It shifts all the energy to the focal point of the darbaar... Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee, so the light only shines on Him... 3. It brings people out of there shell. People are scared to relax and start singing (some not all)... with the lights off, they feel more comfortable as no one will be able to see them so they start singing.
  18. :D   http://www.sikhsangat.org/publish/article_1560.shtml He was YOM this time last year...! Keep up the good work you are doing bruv. [bring back Sanjha Smagam :TH: ]
  19. Its positive stuff. Good to see Singhnia getting together to organise something together. No ones ever stopped the Singhs organising a Singhs only programme. Sometimes there are issues people have that they dont feel comfortable discussing together with people from other gender. Its a step forward.
  20. I think SikhSangat does a good job of promoting tolerance and unity. People have passion for what they believe and thats positive, not negative, whether their beliefs are different from yours or not. Unity isnt about everyone being the same. Maharaj has each given us the gift of individuality, and it is a very precious gift. Unity is about recognising the achievements of jathas and all of them have done GREAT GREAT seva in their own right in bringing together sangat and doing seva. Yes, with that, comes people who can be intolerant towards another views so we see these conflicts on the forum but i believe if you have an arguement with someone like Namstang (not picking on you bro), you could go and ask them for help the next day - they would probably help you. Thats what ive found with my experience on this forum anyway. And that is what coming together and uniting is all about. Forgive my mistakes.
  21. This is a good step. Good achievement so far.
