There might not be his signatures on the press note (don't know whether a Jathedar signs every press release), but that doesn't make the content of the press release by the secretariat of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib any less significant Here is a news report by a journalist Jasbir Patti based on the press conference at Akal Takhat Sahib today ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਲਈ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰੇ- ਗਿਆਨੀ ਗੁਰਬਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ 10 ਦਸੰਬਰ () ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਗੁਰਬਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ ਦੀਆ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਜੇਲ•ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਜਾਵਾ ਪੂਰੀਆ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾਂ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਹਰਕਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਲੋੜੀਦੇ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਣ। Êਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦਿਆ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਗੁਰਬਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ (ਹਰਿਆਣਾ) ਵੱਲੋ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਜੇਲ•ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਠਾਈ ਗਈ ਅਵਾਜ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ•ਾ ਦਰੁਸਤ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਹੱਕੀ ਤੇ ਦਰੁਸਤ ਮੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਕੇ ਜੇਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਯਤਨ ਕਰਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋ ਘੱਟ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਰ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋਹਰੇ ਮਾਪਦੰਡ ਅਪਨਾਏ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਤੇ ਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਨਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਟਾਡਾ ਕੇਸ ਤਹਿਤ ਸਜਾ ਯਾਫਤਾ ਮੁਜੁਰਿਮ ਸੰਜੇ ਦੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਰੋਲ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਰੋਲ ਕਿਉ ਨਹੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ?ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾਂ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਦਖਲਅੰਦਾਜੀ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰਨਾ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਕਿ ਸਜਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਕਰਦਿਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ ਲਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਸੂਬਿਆ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਜਾਇਜ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਜੇਲ•ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਦਬਾ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰਵਾਏ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਦੀ ਜੇਲ• ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਬੰਦ ਹਨ ਜਿਥੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦਾ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਰਾਬਤਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਿੱÎਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕੇ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਅੰਬਾਲਾ ਜੇਲ• ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕੁਝ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੰਦ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਤੋ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੀ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇਰੀ ਦੇ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਬਤਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਲਈ ਰਾਹ ਪੱਧਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੂ ਰੋਲ ਨਿਭਾਏ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ• ਦੀ ਬੁੜੈਲ ਜੇਲ• ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇਰੀ ਤੋ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਕੋਲੋ ਸਮਾਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰਵਾਏ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇਸ ਦੀ ਅਜਾਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ 86 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਤੋ ਵੀ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੰਬਰ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਬੇਗਾਨਗੀ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਸਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰਵਾਏ । ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ ਦੀ ਅਜਾਦੀ ਤੋ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੇਉੱਘਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਖਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਅਨਾਜ ਭੰਡਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਅਹਿਮ ਰੋਲ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਟਾਡਾ ਕਨੂੰਨ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਪਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਕਨੂੰਨ ਹੀ ਨਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਕਨੂੰਨ ਤਹਿਤ ਬੰਦ ਹੀ ਕਿਵੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਦਿਆ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਜੇਲ•ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਨੂੰਨੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਕਿਰਿਆ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਕੀਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਪੈਨਲ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਕਨੂੰਨੀ ਤੌਰ ਤਰੀਕਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਥੇ ਭੁੱਖ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਛੱਡਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਥੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਪੰਜ ਮੈਂਬਰੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਤੇ ਭੇਜਣ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਜੇਲ•ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਿਸਟ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਂਪੇ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਗਲੀ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦੀ ਨੀਤੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਨੂੰਨੀ ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਇ ਲੈਣਾ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਕਾਫੀ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਪੰਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਦੀ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਭਾਂਵੇ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਇਸ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਤੋ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜੇਕਰ ਸਾਰੀਆ ਧਿਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾਹ ਮਸ਼ਵਰਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਰੂਪ ਰੇਖਾ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਵੀ ਜਲਦੀ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਸੀ। ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਚੜ•ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਿਆ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਜੁਝਾਰੂ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਸੂਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਭਾਈ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਸਮਾਪਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਲਈ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਮ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀਆ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਗੰਭੀਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੜਦੀ ਕਲ•ਾ ਦੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਮਈ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦਾ ਹੱਲ ਲੱਭਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕਰਨ।

Recently there have been some calls for Giani Gurbachan Singh to resign over a statement which he gave to the press on December 7. From this recent press release from the secretariat of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib it becomes clear that his previous statement was twisted by the press, especially by 'Rozana Spokesman' (which claimed that Jathedar Sahib has taken a U-turn from his support to Bhai Gurbaksh Singh). The anti Panthic stand of Rozana Spokesman is again exposed. It has always been creating mischief in the Panth by publishing twisted news reports that serve its own purpose, with a sole aim of denigrating the status and authority of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib. The latest press note from Akal Takhat Sahib clarifies these misconceptions about its stand on Bhai Gurbaksh Singh's struggle. Now how they reach this conclusion is not clear. In Apni Katha which forms part of Bachittar Natak (Wonderous Drama), Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib, being a pronounced poet, dramatizes the driving cause behind his coming to this World for the purpose of propagating Dharma. Guru Sahib writes: ਹਮ ਇਹ ਕਾਜ ਜਗਤ ਮੋ ਆਏ ॥ ਧਰਮ ਹੇਤ ਗੁਰਦੇਵਿ ਪਠਾਏ ॥ I have been sent into this world by the Preceptor-Lord to propagate Dharma (righteousness). (Bachittar Natak, Sri Dasam Granth) And before writing this, Guru Sahib meticulously and truthfully describes how those who were sent by Akal Purakh failed to propagate His Naam and instead declared themselves as Lord. ਸਭ ਅਪਨੀ ਅਪਨੀ ਉਰਝਾਨਾ ॥ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕਾਹੂ ਨ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥ ਤਪ ਸਾਧਤ ਹਰਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥ ਇਮ ਕਹਿ ਕੈ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਪਠਾਯੋ ॥੨੮॥ Everyone placed his own interest first and foremost and did not comprehend the Supreme Lord. When I was busy in the austere devotion, the Lord called me and sent me to this world with the following words.28. (Bachittar Natak, Sri Dasam Granth) And Guru Sahib has clearly written the names of those who didn’t follow the command of Akal Purakh of engaging the mortals towards their destiny of following only one Lord. Hence, when Guru Nanak Sahib's name is added to that list by some, it’s basically them who are being Guru Nindaks. A few stanzas after that Guru Sahib in the same composition (Apni Katha) writes that his Dharma is the Dharma which was initiated by Guru Nanak. ਚੌਪਈ ॥ ਤਿਨ ਇਹ ਕਲ ਮੋ ਧਰਮੁ ਚਲਾਯੋ ॥ ਸਭ ਸਾਧਨ ਕੋ ਰਾਹੁ ਬਤਾਯੋ ॥ ਜੋ ਤਾਂ ਕੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਮਹਿ ਆਏ ॥ ਤੇ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਪ ਸੰਤਾਏ ॥੫॥ ਜੇ ਜੇ ਪੰਥ ਤਵਨ ਕੇ ਪਰੇ ॥ ਪਾਪ ਤਾਪ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹਰੇ ॥ ਦੂਖ ਭੂਖ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਨ ਸੰਤਾਏ ॥ ਜਾਲ ਕਾਲ ਕੇ ਬੀਚ ਨ ਆਏ ॥੬॥ CHAUPAI Guru Nanak spread Dharma in the Kaljug and put the seekers on the path. Those who followed the path propagated by him, were never harmed by the vices.5. All those who came within his fold, were absolved of all their sins and troubles, Their sorrows, their wants were vanished and even their transmigration came to an end.6. (Bachittar Natak, Sri Dasam Granth) Following this, Guru Gobind Singh Sahib clearly writes in Apni Katha that all the Guru Sahibs (from Guru Nanak to Guru Teg Bahadur) are from the same Jyot. And interestingly Bachittar Natak is one of the primary sources after Sri Guru Granth Sahib where all the Guru Sahibs have been described as being a part of one Jyot, stressing that “only saints comprehend this fact, and fools don’t”. ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਗਦ ਕੋ ਬਪੁ ਧਰਾ ॥ ਧਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਚੁਰ ਇਹ ਜਗ ਮੋ ਕਰਾ ॥ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਪੁਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਹਾਯੋ ॥ ਜਨੁ ਦੀਪਕ ਤੇ ਦੀਪ ਜਗਾਯੋ ॥੭॥ ਜਬ ਬਰਦਾਨਿ ਸਮੈ ਵੁਹ ਆਵਾ ॥ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਤਬ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਹਾਵਾ ॥ ਤਿਹ ਬਰਦਾਨਿ ਪੁਰਾਤਨਿ ਦੀਆ ॥ ਅਮਰਦਾਸਿ ਸੁਰਪੁਰਿ ਮਗੁ ਲੀਆ ॥੮॥ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਗਦਿ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨਾ ॥ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਅੰਗਦ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਾ ॥ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਕਹਾਯੋ ॥ ਸਾਧਨ ਲਖਾ ਮੂੜ੍ਹ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੯॥ ਭਿੰਨ ਭਿੰਨ ਸਭਹੂੰ ਕਰ ਜਾਨਾ ॥ ਏਕ ਰੂਪ ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਾ ॥ ਜਿਨ ਜਾਨਾ ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਸਿਧ ਪਾਈ ॥ ਬਿਨ ਸਮਝੇ ਸਿਧਿ ਹਾਥਿ ਨ ਆਈ ॥੧੦॥ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਹਰਿ ਸੋ ਮਿਲ ਗਏ ॥ ਗੁਰਤਾ ਦੇਤ ਅਰਜਨਿਹ ਭਏ ॥ ਜਬ ਅਰਜਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਲੋਕਿ ਸਿਧਾਏ ॥ ਹਰਿਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਤਿਹ ਠਾ ਠਹਰਾਏ ॥੧੧॥ ਹਰਿਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਲੋਕਿ ਸਿਧਾਰੇ ॥ ਹਰੀਰਾਇ ਤਹਿ ਠਾਂ ਬੈਠਾਰੇ ॥ ਹਰੀਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਸੁਤ ਵਏ ॥ ਤਿਨ ਤੇ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਭਏ ॥੧੨॥ Nanak transformed himself to Angad and spread Dharma in the world. He was called Amar Das in the next transformation, a lamp was lit from the lamp.7. When the opportune time came for the boon, then the Guru was called Ram Das. The old boon was bestowed upon him, when Amar Das departed for the heavens.8. Sri Nanak was recognized in Angad, and Angad in Amar Das. Amar Das was called Ram Das, only the saints know it and the fools did not.9. The people on the whole considered them as separate ones, but there were few who recognized them as one and the same. Those who recognized them as One, they were successful on the spiritual plane. Without recognition there was no success.10. When Ramdas merged in the Lord, the Guruship was bestowed upon Arjan. When Arjan left for the abode of the Lord, Hargobind was seated on this throne.11. When Hargobind left for the abode of the Lord, Har rai was seated in his place.
