  2. we had to stop the sikh unit and all projects we were involved with, we have a fb were we are curently posting memories of the movement and summarising everything we stood for other then that we are done bro , we done our part , we all have familes and are old now , too much repsonsibility so had to close down all our projects, but we try and do abit of awareness, as education of our community is the best way forward, knowledge is power, prevention is better then cure bro. sorry - rab rakka waheguru. Sikhs are reactive while all the enemies of sikhs are proactive, thsi is the main reason we are losing in many angles, we have no unity, jathas , amritdharis and non amritdhairs dont get along, to many splinetrs to be strong - all the best from the Sikh Unit family -

  8. Jail is a nasty place, and unfortunately some Sikhs do end up in jail, the Sikh services at prison are not that good. Jail is not an ideal place from a Gootka (Holy Scriptures). People smoke in prison, this in turn clings on to the Pages of the Gootka. In a prison war, enemies tend to target a persons religious beliefs to hurt them, the tearing up of Korans and bibles is a very common thing in prison. When you are moved from prison to prison you only get one massive plastic bag in which all your belongings have to go, this will include the gootka mixing with sock etc. Most of our youngsters would not know how to read or understand Gurbani anyway. So we have made this pack which includes translations of Gurbani to give the Inmate a feel of Sikh Prayers etc. Please email us to receive this pack: singhrowproductions@hotmail.com to see other packs we send out please visit www.singhrowproductions.blogspot.com

  11. wjkk wjkf guys we have attached a word format , so download and use as you wish , safe wjkk wjkf Singhrow Productions Sikh Soc Guidelines.doc
  12. Singhrow Productions Sikh Soc Guidelines With the Kirpa of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and the help of the Sadhsangat, Singhrow managed to do 70 talks across the UK in Sikh societies. On our journey all our talkers gave us feedback on what made a successful society. We have talked to the more successful societies and the students to provide these guidelines. Before we start we will start with the reason some of the students did not attend their Sikh societies: They found them really boring - Long boring talks They found them too militant , i.e. they felt people looked down on them The society just don't do enough socials events i.e. sports, trips etc How to counteract above three: we don't need to go on anti Gurmat to do this either; with a bit of initiative it can be done! The main thing is to hit the ground running from the start of the year - and have a committee where everyone has a specific responsibility. I felt it was better to have committee members with all the same power and decisions going to a vote - as opposed to having a president - because the president then ends up doing all the work and might make wrong decision! The committee should be a cross - section, so not all Singhs or Amritdharis, get females and non – amritdharis involved. This builds bridges and the thing to keep in mind that this is a society not a gurdwara so there is no reason to have all amritdharis lol, the whole point is interaction and get people familiar with their roots! Start the new year fresh, with fresh logo, and presentation, so if it wasn't a success the year before, people wont be inclined to say - oh, they messed it up last time so I am not going etc. i.e. just repackage everything (this is for societies that are not doing too well) The stall at the freshers fair has to look the part. It is not expensive to get professional looking membership cards made or goody bags etc, have a screen, banner, sweets, make it look different and more exciting and sicker than the hindu soc and other socs etc, and don't have a lot of Milli guys on the stall as people may be intimidated. Make sure to include both genders. The signing up process is very vital and the right attitude must be shown to get results and intrest. The first event is vital, and you will always get big numbers; but if it is a flop it could be hard to recover from a bad start. So a lot of thought has too go into it, make it fun and deep at same time. Some universities done turban tying etc, this is university people will find that childish etc. So try to be mature about it. Funding – to make it a success you will need funding as well Approach the university for funding - most unis will provide this.If it is the Gurdwaras interest they will provide funding, explain to them how you will be doing kirtan events, sukhmani sahibs etc there, a £200 donation is not out the question and can go a very long way. £1 membership fee will not stretch anyone, explain how its for samosas, and speaker hire etc When promoting the intro fair and joining sikh soc- don't do it too much on facebook - by all means have a facebook account and add anyone who is sikh/ or has singh/kaur in their name - and goes to your uni, but don't solely rely on this The intro meeting should be booked and arranged at the start of the year before even term begins - and before hindu soc and the others etc, and there should be mini leaflets - with date and room, plus free samosas advertised etc – Make a good leaflet which is funky and well designed (marketing is a big thing) The intro meeting - a leaflet in every department notice board and hall notice board, plus email and text to all members joined The meeting should just be completely informal - have the next event - a talk with a different topic advertised - like "desi v sikhi" or " society and sikhism" etc I would show a couple of joke videos, introduce the uni - the city - the society - have cha samosas, split people up - in year groups, or hall groups, course groups, whether they're living at home etc Have a sikhi quiz, etc Have a football event advertised for boys - get them coming together Have a sport event for girls too, A social event for a month later , ice skating, veg restaurant, theme park, a motivational film Momentum is the key and these events should bring it to keep the interest alive throughout the year! If you do get talkers do research on them, because a boring talker will put people off from coming again. the most important thing is that the committee perform an ardass at the start of year and asks guru ji bless then and guide them. www.singhrowproductions.blogspot.com
  13. wjkk wjkf singhrow sevadars have spent all this year talking to kids at camps and uni, colleges and schools and explained to them why guru ji told us to avoid the sins of mean and alcohol, things like this will just confuse them badly, they will start saying that the gurdwara allows it, so why u telling us the opposite, obviously we can use gurbani to win any argument or debate, but for the little childern growing up in a gurdwara which has a party hall the bad habits they get from that sangat will be hard to break at these type of halls associated with a gurdwara legitimise these sinful corruptions. i got a txt saying 100's of singhs attending, is this true or just one of them dogey texts, i heard the akal thakt jatherdar is going to gurdwara on monday with uk sangat to ask why this gurdwara has decided to violate the hukamnama. there is many gurdwaras in the uk that violate this hukamnam already the situation is in a crisis, i hope the akal thakt jatherdar can resolve this, and prevent thsi gurdwara from joining this crisis. please can the guru do kirpa on local sangat to make right decision wjkk wjkf from all singhrow sevadars
  14. Introduction In today's fast moving society, in a country away from the origin of our roots; our youth are growing up with an identity crisis, most refer to the current generation as "the lost generation". One of the main factors is the acceptance of drugs as a part of their life. The Sikh Gurus have always condemned drugs for intoxication and pleasure as they mess up ones intellect and heath. We ran a survey across UK asking many children from the ages of 13 to 18 from a wide range of schools and colleges if they have ever experimented with any intoxicating substances. Our survey showed us that 65% of the children have tried some sort of drug. When we asked the children why they go towards drugs, many of the children replied with answers such as; · To fit in and socialise with certain crowds and because all their mates do it. · Because it makes them feel big and apparently makes them look cool. · They just wanted to try it out of curiosity to see what it feels like. · Some were actually forced. · Because it makes them feels good and relieves them from the stress of the world. · Recreation and enjoyment. · Parents have let them drink wine etc at weddings! We all know any type of intoxicant can cause addiction and ruin lives in many ways from diseases to social and ethical problems in society. But when a large number of Panjabi-Sikh parents drink or smoke themselves, the children have no deterrent or positive role model (this is a core problem in our community). Drugs offer a false relief from problems (similar to a dream), they create an illusion of hope while the person is buzzing. When the drugs wear of you are still in the same situation, and just more out of pocket. So how has the situation improved? Most common drugs being used by our youth: Cocaine, speed, ecstasy, tobacco, alcohol, weed, crack, heroin, steroids PROBLEMS CUASED BY DRUGS · Health problems, including death by overdose or addiction. · Higher crime rate · Personality change, behaviour defects · Higher sexual tendencies, resulting in more abortions. · Family breakdown. · Wastes money some people have spent a fortune on their habit. Solutions: · The drug of Naam-Simran is the most intoxicating and free. So every area should hold youth Simran sessions. · Rehab projects run in Gurdwaras for youth. · Physical training and sport activities (Positive Habits such as gym and martial arts) · Educate the kids about drugs from a young age, including Gurbani quotes and what their Guru expects of them. · Children look up to elders, so if we take drugs- they will, but if we start by quitting ourselves then we can become positive role models for them. 15. in search of the true guru by bhai rama singh deffo,
  16. you taking it totally out of context and to another level, shaheed bhai sukha and jinda had hair cuts they knew they could not penetrate tyrannical forces with kesh, so they didnt keep kesh until jail. in dehli roits mothers cut their childern hair to save them, dressed em up as girls, some of the kids are now men and have grown up to get justice. alot of sikhs did cut their hair in the movement as a disguise they used to say that if we can sacrifice our whole body for the panth, then kesh is apart of that body. Again it aint right but they took paap on themself for the protection of the panth. Alot of other singhs said no look at bhai taru singh and defended the panth with kesh. what matters is what r u doing for the panth ? its a big sacrifice knowing that you are sacrificing ur own jeevan to get through to people or protect others, it shows total unselfishness and prem for humanity in away. things aint always srtight forward, theres alot of things to consider these days. but again it comes down as this, we all took amrit (so called gave our head) , the panth is in a crisis, what steps are we taking to do parchaar, to help other etc, sikhi is not all about sitting at home and doing your own jeevan, thats just one part of it? in the panth we all spend time condemning others etc, every on thinks they are right, but we need to look at ourselves, what are we doing ? are we going to live as papus all our life or are we goint to get counted for something ? anyways im out - i got no more comments for anybody, peace to all respect 1 luv safe, big up sikh unit and sp etc and all the active singhs and singhnis wjkk wjkf
  17. thats the bit im confused about, is it ryt to do something against sikhi for sikhi? lol if u get me? and yh i myt aswell b lol its never justified to do paap in a perfect world, but sometimes you have to, if sukha and jinda didnt do the bank robbery which supplied money for defensive startergies, alot more sikh women wud have been raped and killed, but due to the money they bought protection for famillies. sometimes u just got to take paap on urself to help others, if a singhs killed a rapist and he was hiding in ur house, would u not lie to cover him up? or when the police came would you tell them you aint seen him? the guru is perfect , guru ji will never tell you to commit a paap. but we have to use common sense sumtimes, but its a personal choice bro
  18. lol u acting like they said swearing is right lol have u heard the intro, they taking the paap on themselves so it between them and dharam raaj, lol relax man, it dont effect ur jeevan. so no need to be busting out shabads, only needed to do that if they said it was right. not every sikh has a high jeevan, to not feel hunger, how many singhs in baba deep singh ji battle fought without a head. how many poeple apart from bahi mani singh got cut up pieces to pieces. we have to be practical, not in fantasy world. real gursikhs do have power, the guru is here now, how many sikhs would be able to go 3 months without food and water only a few real gursikhs, the shabad was the guru then and is now. bruv are you new into sikhi ? u seem abit dazed bruv, ? lol serious inabit worried lol
  19. i knw sikh unit , they are against chatka (for taste of tounge and eating of meat) etc too, but in survival times when leaves ran out, sikhs did do chatka and eat the animals that were dead to survive to defend gurdwaras and save sikh women, this is a fact , the singhs took the paap on themselves to save thier sisters honour etc, You cant diss them gursikhs. the album dont say chatka etc is right it uses it as an example on how people take paap on themselves for greater good, listen properly b4 u comment. Sri guru gobind singh ji was god on earth, they can do what they want to do they have powers. we can never do what the gurus did and the ways the guru did. who cares if swearing is wrong, it not on the stage of a gurdwara, how about the people that paid an intrest in sikhi after hearing the albums, if they never heard them they would still be eating meat, drug dealing etc,, why are u wasting ur time and our time by bringing up such minor tings, no one forcing u too like it etc, these tracks have specific audience etc, if u dont like it minor , just do ur ting and go to the streets and think of some other parchaar bro, # sikhi brings in all kinds of people from diff backgrounds , every bodies sikhi and level of sikhi is different. these r just things that u have ot come to terms with. eveyone thinks there way is the right way and waste time on forum, theres real issues out here , but poeple must too much time on there hands to write on here all the time, they even got us doing it lol safe who cares what others think, we know what we got to do!
  20. thanks for your opinion, sikh unit go to brixton, hackney , newham etc and chat to panjabi boys who drug deal, rob , and are violent criminals etc, alot of them youth have stopped living them lives due these cd,z etc. If you got ideas etc feel free paji go to these areas and do some parchaar, on the streets the softy softy approach dont work, you will get laughed at even abused depending on the group of people u come across. the normal sikhi scence is very naieve and there is a big gap between mona and monis and practising sikhs, singhrow has the aim to build these brigdes what ever it takes. our boys r drug addicts our girls are becoming loose whos got time to care about swearing , its all minor compared to the big picture. just like u cant chat to a chinese man who dont understand englisn in english, u cant talk to the streets without street langauge. from ur comment paji i can tell u dont seem that street wise. why do people always have to drag others down and look at negatives, why cnt people just look at postives for once. most of the people that codemn others but dont do nothing themselves if you have better ways do it, its need out there we are loosing too much youth to the street life.
  21. Poetically Explains the Harsh realities of life for alot of urban sikh-panjabi youth living in the uK. Papus stay away might have an heart attack lol download it for free at , www.sikhunit.co.uk to obtain a free cd for ur car please email us at singhrowproductions@hotmail.com from our feedback, these mixtapes have inspired alot of poeple to read up on sikhi etc, so please forward to ur drug dealing or gang banging cousins. as the tunes are done by x gang members and drug dealers the production , flow everyting is very tight on this album
  22. Press Release by Killa I am not going to talk much, because I am going to let the album do the talking and entertain the Fans. In the past albums I have held back on some dark secrets from my life, but in this album I have opened my heart a bit more. I have spent a lot of years of my life on the streets and I share my experience of what I have seen and describe the harsh realities of today’s world in a poetic form. As the world heads for destruction and doom, the light of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji eases the pain of many Sikhs of the world. But there is so much disrespect of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Gurbani, that Sri Guru Gobind Singh JI is not happy with our community. There is a very bad time coming to earth, we will see this in the next few years to come. All I say to the Youth is read as much Gurbani as possible, because Shaheed Singhs are telling Gursikhs out here that Gurbani is going to Vanish from earth soon because the Sikhs did not appreciate the value of Gurbani (And are doing a lot of Disrespect of Gurbani). When this happens the world is going to be doomed and that time according to a lot of Great saints is very near. So read much Gurbani as possible and do as much seva as possible. Stay out of planet Pluto and deal with current and real issues. R.I.P to shaheed Bhai Sukhwinder Singh JI (barking – East London) I knew the Singh personally, once we did Maharaj di seva together, he had a lot of respect for Guru Ji and was a sincere but really naive person (you know the ones that are too good for this corrupt world). I would like to thank all my brothers and sisters who have shown me support over the years and I have to big up gadget boy the production of this new album is off the hook, he has done a very good job and i hope it will keep a lot of our youth entertained. Thanks for all the emails of support and encouragement from all the fans. 1luv from Killa P.s Watch out for ambitions solo album coming soon!!!!! click on link for the promo My link
