    more literature needs to me distributed.....

    coaches need to be better organised... i didnt use any coaches to atend but the feedback i heard from sangat regarding coaches was pretty bad..... COACHES should BE AT HYDE PARK FOR !0AM.........sall sangat should be at HYDE PARK for 10am....

    the punjabi speaches should be in hyde park addressing the sangat.... all speaches in trafalgar square should be in english or translated.

    further.... coach seats should be pre booked in ALL GURDWARAE... instances where sangat reserved seats and then dont turn up should be followed up whenever possible. also sangat need to arive ontime to be picked up at their local gurdwara. perhaps sikh federation ukshould draw up a guidline detailing protocols gurdwaras may wish to follow regarding coaches.

    another thought, dont know if sangat would agree... i think slogans like "intian government terrorist terrorrist" dont do sikhs much justice. it too <banned word filter activated> for tat.... we should really spell itout that india are killing sikhs... we need more slogans on the lines of "sikhs want justice for 84", "india prides on sikh genocides" "india stop killing sikhs" etc.

    how can the presentations in trafalgar square be improved / made more interactive? in my opinion, a couple of the speaches lacked passion - (i could be wrong). if the speaker isnt going to feel passion for the movement, then neither are the sangat or public.

    I agree more literature should be distributed, with quality.

    Every one should be on time, this is responsbility of the Gurughar Commiteea.

    With the Trafalgar Square, try to keep everything to English, since that's our target audience.

    Personal Thoughts:

    Discipline — This is very important: Loads of Sangat was walking on the pavement, whereas we are supposed to walk on the road,

    this caused the pedestrians inconvience, as they had to wait, barge through the sangat.

    Despite telling the sangat, in English and Panjabi, they still don't listen... Are we giving out a good image?

    Coaches — Advise the coach driver to try to park the coach nearest e.g. If in the coach there is more Bibiya/children, try to park the coach

    nearest. If there is Youth / Teenagers, we don't mind if you park the coach further for the elderly sangat to have ease of access to the coach.

    Speak English — Our target audience is the average-English-speaking citizen. So do English slogans.

    Distribute basic info leaflets — Distribute A5 leaflets about what injustices India inflicts upon the Sikhs.

    Also, i really like the idea by West London Singh about the Union Jack! Alot of passerby's don't actually read our signs or actually listen to our chants and make an automatic perception that we're another extremist group that hates the UK and want to blow up the west. By having Union Jacks on boards and flags automatically shows the common man that we are patriotic, proud to be British and no threat to UK and more importantly (as West London Singh said)...this in itself is half the battle won when trying to raise awareness to the UK public! We as a community are not very savvy when it comes to marketing but the Union Jack idea is definitely an excellent idea!

    Ok, let's get the Union Jack flag, and hold it next to the Khalistan flag.

    Try and get two flags between 100 group of people.

    You can do the seva of buying the flags :) :D

    I'm gonna expand a little on what I said earlier because I really do feel that we Sikhs, on our demonstrations, are unbelievably naiave and lost when it comes to good signs. Our signs are amateurish at best but downright pathetic at worst.

    It seems no thought goes into them. Nobody seems to take a step back and think what the person we're trying to reach with the sign, will make of the sign. In this regard, the Canadian and American Sikhs are way ahead of us. Mostly because they're education system is wonderfull at teaching them how to be politicaly active and make a point. Thats is why....when there's a Sikh demonstration in canada or America....so many of those Sikh placards have either the Maple leaf or the American flag on it....to show people reading the signs that they (the sikhs)are good patriots of that nation. Thats half the battle won right there. Already, the Sikh demonstrators have got the public to at least be willing to listen to them and take an interest in them. When was the last time you saw a Union jack on any of the signs at UK demonstrations involving sikhs ? Personally, I've never seen one. Never seen one, when the vast majority should have the flag on them. Anything, to show how we are good patriots of this country. Honestly, i feel we British Sikhs are the greatest in the world at actually flexing our muscle and actually getting out there and doing things. But when it comes to intellectual things.....artistic things.....communication things.....we are definately number 3 on the list behind America and Canada. a very poor third.

    Not being sarcastic or anything, why don't we take Union Jacks and English flags to the rally, and hold them parallel to our Khalistan flag? :)

    Sangat Ji, 1) Would making YouTube videos with a Shabad playing in the background and the English translation and transliteration in the foreground count as Seva? My friend said it would.

    2)And is it bad for me to download Shabads from a website such as SikhSangeet without paying to use them in the video?

    3) If Gurmukhi was included in the foreground and someone was to play it on say their iPod and do beadbi of it in ANYWAY, would that fall on my head?

    Please keep trying to get as MAX Sangata to attend

    the 84 rally. Please, try and take two extra people with you.

    Let's get as many people as we can get.

    Bentee to all the youth, please start taking active roles.

    Feel free to get your voice heard through the loudspeakers.
