  1. like self defence? well i wouldn't want to use that for self defence. i would rather use a punch or maybe something like pepper spray. please explain the many purposes
  2. so are u saying the water is not connected by that canal then?
  3. as long as u dont take illegal kind of drugs like steroids i think u can use any method of body building
  4. but isn't the purpose of a kirpan to be the uniform of a sikh? how is is supposed to be "used"?
  5. kirpan is quite an interesting thing. most people that do wear it keep it under their clothes. i find that kind of pointless because the whole point of it is for a nishani that u are sikh. knowing u have it on doesnt tell u much because u already know how much of a sikh u are inside. i say u should either wear it outside or not wear it at all. also that necklace with the kirpan on it is pretty stupid too
  6. u shouldnt let them bother u. lots of people judge but so what? it's not hurting u is it?
  7. bhangra is cool but only if u listen to it once in a while. it's ok to party once in a while as long as u dont forget to be serious and remember gurbani/kirtan
  8. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! they told us at the youth group that we should say this greeting to everyone not only sikhs. when another person hears and sees u say that with love they can feel it Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  9. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! thank u for the ideas. i have written them down and will be sharing them with the group this friday. bless u all
  10. on friday evenings there's a sikh youth group at the new gurdwara called singh sava. i just came from it a while ago. it is really inspirational and a good worth of time
  11. this is great. u fixed the site skin option problem i was having. yes i agree with u about my name. could a moderator remove "jatti". i didnt put much thought in the name just added that since there's a j. anyways yea i think ego is the biggest thing most sikhs, including me, have trouble with but getting into sikhism is the only way to overcome ego
  12. sikh camps are so great and the memories always last. over here we have some called sikh vision www.sikhvision.com i'll be volunteering at some of those next summer
  13. lots of punjabi boys especially jatts have way too much pride and call themselves sikhs. i wish they knew what being a sikh really means because a lot of them think being a sikh just means ur "strong" and they forget about humbleness. they're into partying and drink, etc not following sikhism. does anyone know where i mean and have u seen this? i wonder if anything could be done for all these people misrepresening sikhs.
  14. yea desmesh and the khalsa school gurmat camps brought me soooooo much closer to sikhism. i'm so grateful for that and i hope i can help make that same kind of difference for people in the future by contributing.

  19. also u can hear the gurdwara programs online all day including that program i always attend on sunday evenings. it's at http://www.proudtobesikh.com at u hover over sikh radios and pick desmesh
  20. what do u think of the name mehar kaur mehta?
  21. i'm from surrey. i recommend a really good program done by university students every sunday @ 7pm. location is desmesh darbar gurwara. it's done in english and the best way to relate our lives with sikhism. there's also gonna be a really fun gurmat camp early august if ur interested check out www.sikhvision.com and for info about most sikh events that go on here in BC go to www.wcsya.org
