  8. yeh whens the iphone new version coming this 1.0 feels a bit puratan
  9. i dont have any contact details try searching the web, its not in the same area as Guru Ram das saran its the opposite side its behind the Akal takht. if i get any details ill post on here for you
  10. Ye i agree with the above post certain programmes have to be celebrated during that particular event, no disrespect intended but the other is a programme that is a bhog that really shoould be in november, but it doesn't really matter when you can do it, but the organisers should have moved dates so that the sangat dont have this dilemma of where to go. programmes nowadays are like west midlands bus service, nothing for ages then two together no disrespect to our singh brothers who drive for this service lol
  11. Fateh, Singh. Stay in the Dasmesh NRI saran, its overlooking status gives you a view from your hotel of Sri Harmandir Sahib. And its got all the facilities ie air con, hot water two double beds wardrobe etc. Its made and paid for by mainlu UK residents for UK residents. It costs 300 hundred rupees a night which aint cheap but if you wanna have a good sleep after a long day of seva simran its ideal. Regarding the issues of security theft does occur but not on a massive scale, do what we do and take your own padlock for the room doors so that way you have no concern of the hotel having a second key. meat and alchol cant be served in a 3 km radius around Harmandir sahib. And regarding the seva if your there for a week do one thing at a time and enjoy it. The time (not accurate) for seva start normally around 1 oclock. Make sure you do top to toe ishnaan after 12 and before 1. I think quarter to 4 comes Mahraaj. inbetween this the seva for parkarma and Darbar sahib will take place. Best thing to do is to make contact with a sevadaar of the Darbar sahib and talk to him about what happens and when, their usually well mannered and favour assisting NRI's. hope this helps FATEH

  18. just to confirm, Guru ke pyaario that there will be a BOSS stall and Guru ghars own made pizza and cake running alongside with Guru Ka Langar. But thats just to fill the ever wanting belly, to fill your mind the kirtan planned is going to be amazing from what i hear there gonna be some raags you probably have never heard before, like me. So take this lahaa and may Guru Har rai bless all those who promote, sing and listen to raag kirtan wherever in the country they are happening. beant kirpa is happening
  19. vjkk vjkf not to sound like im causing an argument or fricton, but no members of my team from Guru Har Rai raag darbar has worked with or helped the leicester sangat in arranging this programme. So paaji has been mistaken in thinking this, because if we were helping leicester sort out their programme surley they would have known about ours. This i repeat again is not to put a wedge between us but to sort out the facts, maybe someone has been pretending to be involved in our programme to gain credit and has fooled paaji. Credit to SGGS
  20. vjkk vjkf with mahraajs beant kirpa i was involved with the raag darbaar at Guru Har Rai, im glad to see it has inspired others to follow suit. I wish you all the success. I have to apologise to the leicester sangat for making a so called clash. But im sure you will understand. Guru Har Rai sahibs avtarpurab falls also on that weekend, and if we Guru Har Rai Sahib Gurudvara do not celebrate that fact then who will?? and so with carefull consideration i chose to go ahead with the Raag darbar, paaji has also been misinformed " it was first a kirtan darbar, then a raag darbar." It was alwalys going to be a raag darbar, following the succes from last time. Also every shabad will be sung in raag not just the first one. Again i would like to wish you all the success at your first raag darbar and i hope to work with you next time vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ji ke fateh
  21. The seventh Guru of the Sikh faith, was the son of Baba Gurditta and grandson of Guru Hargobind, Nanak VI. He was born on 16 January 1630 at Kiratpur, in present-day Ropar district of the Punjab. In 1640, he was married to Sulakkhani, daughter of Daya Ram of Anupshahr, in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh. He was gentle by nature and had a devout temperament. He was Guru Hargobind's favourite grandchild, and he had been given the name of Har Rai by the Guru himself. Once, record old texts, Har Rai was returning home after his riding exercise. From a distance he saw Guru Hargobind sitting in the garden. He at once got off his horse to go and do him homage. In this hurry, his robe was caught in a bush and a few of the flowers were broken from their stems. This pained Har Rai's heart. He sat down on the spot and wept bitterly. Guru Hargobind came and consoled him. He also advised him: "Wear your robe by all means, but be careful as you walk. It behoves God's servants to be tender to all things." There was a deeper meaning in the Guru's words. One must live in this world, and yet be master of oneself. Guru Hargobind knew Har Rai to be the fittest to inherit the "light" from him. He nominated him as his successor and consecrated him Guru before departing this life on 3 March 1644. Guru Har Rai kept the stately style Guru Hargobind had introduced. He was attended by 2,200 armed followers, but no further conflict with the ruling power occurred. He established three important preaching missions called bakhshishes for the spread of Guru Nanak's teaching. First was that of Bhagvan Gir, renamed Bhagat Bhagvan, who established missionary centres in eastern India. The second was that of Sangatla, renamed Bhai Pheru, who preached in Rajasthan and southern Punjab. Guru Har Rai also sent Bhat Gonda to Kabul, Bhai Nattha to Dhaka and Bhai Jodh to Multan to preach. The ancestors of present-day families of Bagarlan and Kaithal preached in the Malva region. Guru Har Rai himself travelled extensively in this area and a large number of people accepted his teaching. He confirmed the blessing earlier bestowed by Guru Hargobind on a poor boy, Phul, who became the founder of the families of Patiala, Nabha and Jind. These families ruled in their territories in the Punjab until recent years. Kiratpur was Guru Har Rai's permanent seat. Here disciples and visitors came to seek blessings and instruction. The Guru kept the daily practice of his predecessors. The institution of langar, community eating, continued to flourish. Guru Har Rai chose himself the simplest fare which was earned by the labour of his own hands. In the morning, he sat in the sangat and explained the Sikh doctrine. He did not compose any hymns of his own, but quoted those of his predecessors in his discourses. He often repeated to his followers the following verses of Bhal Gurdas,Varan (XXVIII. 15): A true Sikh rises before the night ends, And turns his thoughts to God's Name,To charity and to holy bathing. He speaks humbly and humbly he walks,He wishes everyone well and he is joyed to give away gifts from his hand.He sleeps but little,And little does he eat and talk. Thus he receives the Guru's true instruction .He lives by the labour of his hands and he does good deeds. However eminent he might become,He demonstrates not himself. He sings God's praises in the company of holy men.Such company he seeks night and day.Upon Word is his mind fixed,And he delights in the Guru's will. Unenticed he lives in this world of enticement IT IS SAID THAT WHOEVER DOES ARDAAS IN THE COURT OF GURU HAR RAI SAHIB JI MAHRAAJ IS GRANTED THAT WISH
  22. servant of khalsa ji, there is no hate, but differences. The nihangs dont go around preaching eat meat or take sukha, they do it because its a traditional thing from years (not that it makes its Gurmat) they keep themselves to them themselves in that sense knowing full well that there is not a letter of chatka in SGGS. Taksal was ordered by the Gurus so to follow the maryada of Taksal is mandatory for everyone to add to it is chardikala. You have to attend taksal to be taksal, you have to live taksal to be taksal. But to criticise it, to take away from it and to fiddle with it is the cause of todays mess. so my point is to your statement is that if everyone just does what they were supposed to do instead of making themselves appear to be better than others would make this panth a whole lot happier
  23. paaji we kind of going off the subject, but you have the right to question my statement This very ang you talk about is the problem, The Khalsa is poora, it has no angs, it has no need for angs or for support or help or assitance or guidance, the Khalsa is Vahegurus where there is Vaheguru their is no other. So maybe its you that should look at jathbandia in a different angle. "Many singhs from the Akhand Keertani Jatha have given their life for the panth" this is the perfect statement from a jathbandi, what so we as the panth now owe something to the akj. How dare you speak for people that aint here no more, they died for the panth because they was the panth. People nowadays are contesting how many shaheeds each jatha has and how much more dedicated each jatha is and so on, so veer ji, dont try and tell me there is an importance of these jathe, because as mentioned these are the very problems that jathebandia have brought to the panth. (i exclude Nihangs and Taksal as jathe). And ill repeat once again the idea of the sikh channel is something that the panth can benefit from so im not agianst it, but the idea of it trying to create ekta is a joke, hence the title JUST ANOTHER TOOL FOR TROUBLE. We have no need for jathe that only promote a section of sikhi, ie thier is one for kirtan, their is one for seva etc etc note: bloom you lost the plot who the hell are courts of law to Akal Takht, very silly statement you made. Regardless of who is in charge who you to degrade akal takht
  24. Sant Mann singh went to Akal Takht for permission to keep doing kirtan, they said you wernt proven of any wrong doing so yes keep going. This is a fact. Even the so called victims have come forward and admitted slander. Mr mala i have intensions on arising the truth about what has happened to me i will not keep it quiet jus because you think it will cause trouble the truth is the truth and it will be told. if you hate sants you going to narak if you dont belive raagmaala you going narak if you eat meat you going narak its funny how we find that sikh channel is the solution to todays panthic ekta, well wake up my brothers and sisters ekta will happen but not through the sikh channel. These diffences we have are the main reason there is no ekta, until these go away its impossible to achieve that ekta that people are craving. If you had kept your keski or kesh on mr mala, im not attacking the sikh channel, i do believe its an invaluable tool, but it should leave the ekta issue and concentrate on parchaar rather than bringing closer jathebandia, these friggin jathe were not here in the gurus era, so they are man made, which is why they are prone to human disorders like hate. The Gurus never made no jathe why do we feel the neccessity to be a part of one. The Gurus made a brotherhood and if we had stuck to that maybe it would have been a different story, but its mahrrajs bhaana. And thanks for labelling me as the newbie stirrer, just because i aint posted before dont mean im not a veteran of the site you punk
