Some people who settle in UK, US and work for foreign companies change their physical attire due to their company policies such as a bearded man is not allowed to work in Hotel Management Field abroad, but even if you have to change your physical attire [due to some problems out of your control] you must remain connected with the divine and preach teachings of Sikhism. Would you want goras children to think that a Sikh is a Taliban since they mistook full flowing bearded Sikhs as a full-beard Taliban and it created problems in US after 9/11 incident. People from our community had to put-up huge banners in front of Gurudwaras telling that "We are Indian/Sikhs and not Muslims/Taliban". I always request my Gursikh brothers staying abroad to make sure that their identity does not get identical with a Taliban/Afghan in any way. My cousin staying abroad started applying Fixo-Gel and looks separate. His father said that beard should be kept flowing and not intact, but I told him a True Khalsa will remain a Khalsa regardless of the clothes, attire he wears or country he lives in. I just do not want that someone mistook my brother for a full-bearded afghan man since 99% of US goras cannot distinguish from a Afghani/Sikh since they are both looking identical in terms of beard, turban. However, if you find anyone dis-respecting Sikhism, we must openly ostracise them in our social circle, friends circle, or family circle. This someone could be anyone. A True Sikh will remain True Sikh regardless of the clothes he wear or the attire he wears and infact there is a definition of a Sehajdhari Sikhs in Sikh religion who are respected and work towards the better sikh society. Regardless of whether you are a Amritdhari, Kesdhari, Non-Amritdhari, Sehajdhari or any other one must remain a True Sikh and should accept everyone as a part of one-big family where there are different colors of flowers, each with a different look/appeal but same scent. What happened in Vienna was really really bad and shameful. Nobody has the right to make a religious institution [whether Hindu, Sikh, Muslim] into a battle field. Although it was wrong to make a live person sit at the same level as Guru Granth Sahib, but these things could have been communicated from Shri Akal Takht. I am sure if someone is claiming himself/herself as a saint then he would listen to the humble requests made which will bring people together and not separate them. SSA, The ratio of Girls as compared to Boys is coming to lowest point in Punjab. Several social/political leaders come forward and argue that this should never happen. If you look at the fatwa issued by some (Jathedars who resemble sikhs but in reality believe in the Muslim idiology of supressing women rights) that no women-jatha can perform keertan inside premises of Harminder Sahib [PLS CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG :BL:], you will understand where the problem originates in the Sikh Society. Is it written somewhere in Guru Granth Sahib that women cannot do shabad-gurbani inside Gurudwara ?????? BIG Question and answer is BIG NO too. Why in all major gurudwaras you never see a women-granthi jee ? Why only men prefer to sit and tell bibi jees to do all the washing, cleaning and preparing food. Why cant men-granthi jee go and prepare langer for the sangat and allow women to do shabad-gurbani (sometimes). :BL: When these issues become known to everyone in the society, people start believing that women-raagi jatha is less pure and have less understanding of their religion and decision taken by those illitrate people sitting at top position in religious institutions is justified. By issueing a ban on the women-raagi jatha what "HIDDEN" message these people trying to give to the modern Sikh Society. When these hidden selfish messages are communicated from highest religious authorities it is bound to create effect in the Sikh Society as well as non-sikh (hindu punjabi) who believe in the teachings of Guru Nanak. This is the reason why ratio of Girls as compared to boys is coming to a lowest point in Punjab and I am sure you must have seen a video of Prakash Singh Badals daughter-in-law in a video "Nanhi Chaan" to save girl child from foeticide. When you listen to the recital of Gurbani by Harshdeep Kaur /OR Snatam Kaur (American) you realise that divine can exist in anyone whether women or men. I can assure you that several Jathedars who agree with the fatwa might be having gurbani recital of Harshdeep Kaur in their mobile phones which they flaunt to show how religious they are. What happens in society is the manifestation of what is written in the religion. Whats not written in religion is being implemented by these blind people who are projecting wrong image of Sikh religion while sitting in the top positions. People ask why ratio of girls is less in punjab, but the answer of this question lies somewhere else. What is your opinion on this issue. Do you agree that the solution of the problem lies somewhere else ?? These are just my personal views and have nothing to do with whats written in the Gurbani since I respect it fully. Hindus now say proudly that caste-system is more intact in Sikh religion than in Hindu religion because they are the true believers of Manu-Chalisa. ABC - Hindu might marry someone DFC-Hindu, but today's SIKH have implemented Sikhism at physical level and never at spiritual level. Once you understand and follow your religion at spiritual level you will understand that all are equal, men or women, rich or poor. :| We are already in minority worldwide and this is the religion which is moving further towards minority. Sikh Parents tell them how bad are people from Sikh-ABC or Sikh - DEF and you must remain connected with people from your community. This action has full support of the corrupt congress since Indira's Maimuna Begum's donkey Shivraj Patil took over as a governor and it is in the dirty blood of the congress to suppress Sikh religion. Ramdasia refers to Weavers who were previously followers of Bhagat Kabir and Ramdasia is referring to followers of 4th Sikh Guru Ramdas Jee who himself took weavers into their sharan when several thousand weavers become part of Sikh religion. This is where term ramdasia came into picture. It is not about Hindu diety "Ram" or "Sita". Ravidasia and Ramdasia are separate terms and should not be used interchangeably. :| Ravidasia are the followers of Bhagat Ravidas whose baani is imbibed in the Guru Granth Sahib and Ramdasia were previously followers of Bhagat Kabir whose baani is imbibed in the Guru Granth Sahib. When Child says to his mother that I love you, does that mean Child is saying so only because of benefits he gets from Mother ??? Does a small Child think about the benefits before hugging his/her mother and telling her how much he loves her ??? Similarly, you must always do bani for the love of God. If you have some problems at home then you can offer ardas at the end of your prayer and request God to help. You can do gurbani with love of god and after some time, you will start to realise true meaning of it. You can start off by meditating on "Naam" ie Waheguru. The Psalm of Peace Sukhmani describes that highest of the Highest is the Name of God ie Waheguru. Recite Waheguru in your spare time, or do bani with love of God. You will see a change in your life which you will understand later as true benefits :rolleyes: A Small Child requesting his mother to please gift him a Cobra, but mother refuses. Does that mean mother does not love her Child ? When we do not get something in life, we put forward such questions in front of God and enquire about benefits/losses. There is only feeling of Love and nothing else.

Maybe there are times when God test its true followers, but even then one must remain connected with the Divine. This is all I wanted to share. Sorry if I hurt anyone with my personal experience. :sad: I meant no disrespect to anyone. It was just my personal experience and my mothers. Maybe it will never happen to others, but if it happens one must understand that it is also love of God to test its followers.

When I first started doing Sukhmani Sahib with 100% devotion, everything started going wrong in life. I was surprised/shocked and could not understand what is going on. For 2 months, it was like every single day going wrong [from morning to night every single day]. I thought that I might be making some mistake in pronunciation or not doing at the right time (ie ambrosial hour). I kept going on, since I was completely surrendered to the Sukhmani Sahib and sacrifice of Guru Arjan Dev. However, one day everything stopped suddenly and reverse started to happen and I started to experience the real peace which soothed my mind and Sukhmani Sahib got absorbed in my mind. I do not have a very strong memory [to actually remember anything else of that duration], but even I was surprised as to how 1 hour long Sukhmani Sahib got absorbed into my mind. I was able to recite complete Sukhmani Sahib from mind after just devotion of 3-5 months. After several months, I asked my Mummy as to why this I have experienced while doing Sukhmani Sahib. She told me that when they were in college, they also used to do Sukhmani Sahib along with others family members, but even at that point we experienced this. All members got scared and thought that they might have done something wrong while doing it or made some mistake. They eventually stopped since they were unable to understand since it started effecting their studies/marks and whole lot of other things. However, one day they too discussed with a granthi jee who was truly into spiritualism. He told them that sometimes God will make it a habit to TEST those are truly following his path. Those who pass this TEST realise what is the true meaning of the Sukhmani Sahib. This experience is mostly heard from those who are devoted to Sukhmani Sahib. Later I came to know from my father that my Dadi was also commited to Sukhmani Sahib and she could recite it from mind while doing her daily household work. However, she left this world before I was born, so I never got a chance to meet her. It is a way of life and you will find best analysis of complete life in Sukhmani Sahib. However, one must only read it for the love of god and sacrifice of Guru Arjan Dev because otherwise one would never be understand the true meaning of Sukhmani Sahib. It changed my life completely. From a mere stone, I got turned into Gold both at professional level and spiritual level. Pls share if you ever had any such experiences in life while doing gurbani/path. :rolleyes:

Some people who settle in UK, US and work for foreign companies change their physical attire due to their company policies such as a bearded man is not allowed to work in Hotel Management Field abroad, but even if you have to change your physical attire [due to some problems out of your control] you must remain connected with the divine and preach teachings of Sikhism. Would you want goras children to think that a Sikh is a Taliban since they mistook full flowing bearded Sikhs as a full-beard Taliban and it created problems in US after 9/11 incident. People from our community had to put-up huge banners in front of Gurudwaras telling that "We are Indian/Sikhs and not Muslims/Taliban" However, if you find anyone dis-respecting Sikhism, we must openly ostracise them in our social circle, friends circle, or family circle. This someone could be anyone. There are some from our community who would not proceed their talks further unless they know your full-name ie name after Singh/Kaur and they will ask you repeatedly again and again. This is why there are thousands of Gurudwaras in Punjab some Jat-Gurudwara, Khatri-Gurudwara, Ravidasia-Gurudwara, Mazhbi-Gurudwara. People have acquired religion at physical level, but still there is a void and split between people in our Sikh Community. People from our community still maintain relationships on the basis of castes mentioned in Manu-Chalisa and not Guru Granth Sahib ie "True Sikh = Gursikh". There are people who post matrimonial ads on websites telling that amritdhari-sikh ABC[caste] seeking aliance for amritdhari-sikh CBC[caste] or worse Gursikh - ABC looking for Gursikh-ABC match . However, it is not correct for someone to say that someone is more pure than other and others are non-followers of Sikhism or does not understand it well. A True Sikh will remain True Sikh regardless of the clothes he wear or the attire he wears and infact there is a definition of a Sehajdhari Sikhs in Sikh religion who are respected and work towards the better sikh society. Regardless of whether you are a Amritdhari, Kesdhari, Non-Amritdhari, Sehajdhari or any other one must remain a True Sikh and should accept everyone as a part of one-big family where there are different colors of flowers, each with a different scent and appeal. In fact, the objective of Guru Gobind Singh was to convert birds into Hawks and we should show this in every field whether IT, Medical, Business, Marketing, Army, Music, Sports or even Movies. This way would be truly following word of the Guru and not just at the physical level. Let religion and preaching of Sikhism be our strength and people from our community excel in every field worldwide. The True color of Khalsa is GOLD and GOLD never looses its shine regardless of the form it takes. Just my own small observation Pls let me know your inputs.
