I have just read this post and will be fully supporting SikhiStore by posting their link on my facebook page and passing on word-of-mouth that this store should be the first place we support when buying on the internet - SikhiStore please carry on as you are sometimes its things that are out of our hands which cause us hassle so it should not reflect on your service - Good work

  5. A dedicated Sikh religious channel is all set for launch in January, BizAsia can reveal. The channel formerly known as Sikh TV, will come back as Akal TV at the end of January. Details of Akal TV are being kept underwraps due to competition from the existing two Sikh television services including Sikh Channel and Sangat TV – both on the Sky Digital platform. Akal TV plans to broadcast Sikh religious and documentaries, with live Akhand Paths from various Gurdwaras in the UK. The channel is based in Birmingham. The management of Akal TV is different to that of Sikh TV. Akal TV will be a free-to-air channel, available on Sky Digital from Monday 28th January. http://www.media247.co.uk/bizasia/new-sikh-tv-channel-launching-in-january'>http://www.media247.co.uk/bizasia/new-sikh-tv-channel-launching-in-january
  6. http://www.amritbani.com/ Sikh religious radio channel, Amrit Bani has been removed from the Sky Digital EPG due to insufficient funds and non-payment of bills. Amrit Bani, which was previously available on EPG 0176 has made no qualms about the reason it has fallen off-air. According to its website, the station required £45,000 by 19th November to sustain the service. After over a week’s termination notice, Sky decided to pull the plug on the station yesterday afternoon. Amrit Bani said, “As you are aware Amrit Bani runs solely runs on the donation by the Sadh Sangat Ji and we don’t allow broadcasting any commercial adverts to interrupt the flow of Shabad Gurbani. We have been struggling very much for the last many months but now the situation is very difficult with us and we are under tremendous financial problems.” Amrit Bani has provided details via its website for listeners to donate money to bring back the station on Sky Digital. Amrit Bani continues to broadcast online. Amrit Bani is the latest station to fall off-air after financial difficulties – recently Sanjhi Awaz Radio ceased broadcasting in the West Midlands. Similarly, Sikh TV also fell victim to financial pressure earlier this year. http://www.media247....-off-air-on-sky

  11. I use Turmeric (haldi) as a face cream and as a drink mixture, you have to use it to believe it as when I was a kid I used to laugh at the vicco adverts during the hindi film breaks, but this has worked for me and if you do a quick Google search there is now medical research on this spice. Firstly as others have said please drink plenty of water. In the evening I wash my face with warm water then gently rub some Vicco Turmeric cream into my face (which will quickly be absorbed) your face will feel a little tight but smooth - then leave on over night until washed off in the morning. Then I also drink "Golden Milk" at bed time: heat a cup of milk with one teaspoon of honey (less if you dont like it but does mask the taste of natural earthy turmeric taste) and one teaspoon of turmeric. This drink is an aquired taste but you will get used to it after a couple of days (better than drinking cough syrup!). If you don't like the above two suggestions you can also buy turmeric capsules which are a very good way to consume the spice if you don't like the taste. Or, lastly you can put an extra spoon into the curry mix when you make your dhal, gobi, channa etc.... You will need to take or use turmeric for at least 2-4 weeks to start seeing a change.....since I started with the face cream now my wife, mother-in-law, and my wifes 3 white friends have all started using it! I hope one of the suggestions works for you from all the SS input but dont try all the advice at one who knows what might happen ")
