  1. Its definitely true watched it my self on PTC, what a beautiful moment!
  2. to the poster above; yes I suppose we women should be locked away for the duration of the pregnancy? hidden away.
  3. 1. Ashwagandha old indian herbal remedy and it works. You can get it from most Health stores. 2. Read Patshahi 10, Tav Prasad Sawiyae - Deenan Ki Pritpal Karae.
  4. Moderators please allow this post as I believe this tidbit is beneficial to sangat to ensure they keep to their Sikhee roots and not follow the self proclaimed and styled people that run out to the Western countries as soon as it is deemed safe to do so….I have debated internally whether I should even write this but sometimes when something troubles you then you must let it come out - after all the truth is the truth…I could write much in here but I will keep to the basics and keep it as brief as possible……. Enough of the snataan math, I don't need definitions of different types of anand and to recognise all these technicalities of Sikhee. Sikhee is very simple, Guroo Sahib gave me clear directions when I took Khande De Pahul. Above all I don't need a middle person to tell me how to get to my Guroo Sahib; I don't need a middle person to tell me that the only way to get to Guroo Sahib is through medidating only through that middle person and not to meditate on Guroo Sahib. ..think here puth/puthree take this picture of me, put it on a high place and face a certain direction and meditate on me.. Not on Guroo sahib... In all those years the only thing I saw was the said person getting a thrill out of Amritdharee's matha tekking.. Never mind the non-amritdharee's. I don’t need a middle person to force me to matha tek to him as Guroo Sahib's fateh was clearly not enough and as told by the beloved Punj Piaray that I must not matha tek to any person… if he is so rare gemed.. then he would know why I don't matha tek to him and would not need to say that "I need to break your ego by you matha tekking to me...". Guroo Sahib's Fateh not enough I guess? Ask the following questions for yourself - although I have heard the responses to these myself and let me tell you behind closed doors they will be different answers to those that are given in the wider sangat but I know ….. Why so quiet on the beadbi happening in India? There is a need for greater parchaar there not in the Western world? Is it because they're just aren’t enough chelai there? Why the collective get together with Badal to win the SGPC elections? No opinion huh? Bigger strategy is it? Really huh? Ask the opinion on the said person on Shaheed Singhs and Singhnea….. I have heard it. The love for Bharat is great. Enough said as I feel repulsed just having to write this. We don't need this kind of parchaar, go and wow the masses in Panjab.. And join the hundreds of other derai valai…. The parchaar needs to be in India not in the Western world but in fact we don’t need that parchaar there either…. Continue to Wake up Singho, Singhnea.. Khalsa Panth is stronger than anything and we don’t need middle people to reach Guroo Sahib especially for example when they think they need to be matha teked themselves (just for further clarification no I'm not talking about touching the feet - I'm talking about matha tekking) We feel the sea of change and no snataan math is going to interfere in it. A certain story comes to mind: Baba Sham Singh jee lived till the first quarter of 20th century and went to Sachkhand at the age of 125 years. He has the distinction of doing Kirtan Sewa at Siri Harmandir Sahib for more than 80 years. He saw rise and fall of Khalsa Raj, rise of Singh Sabha and formation of the Shiromini Committee in the 1920s. Baba jee was accepted as Brahmgyani Gurmukh the by whole Panth. Sant Attar Singh Mastuanewale, Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh jee and Bhai Vir Singh jee recognized him as great Gurmukh. Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh jee in one of his books has written a Saakhi about Baba Sham Singh jee. Once Baba jee had a vision of the next world. He saw that a number of individuals were tied on camels and were being beaten mercilessly by Jammdoots. Baba jee asked someone as to why these individuals were being beaten up. He got the reply that these people allowed gullible devotees to Matha-Tek to them in the Maat-Lok (this world) and now they were being punished for this crime. Even before having this vision, Baba Sham Singh jee did not allow anyone to Matha-Tek to him but now with this supernatural experience, he became very strict in not allowing anyone to Matha-tek or touch his Charan. If anyone did touch his feet, he would never rest till he too touched that person’s feet. Baba jee was an ocean of divine knowledge and was a master of mystical powers (Ridhi Sidhi) but he kept himself hidden in his humility so well, that very few realized the extent of his great spiritual state. Once he along with other Gursikhs was going for Darshan of Siri Harmandir Sahib. At this time his age was about 120 years. As he approached Darshani Deodhi, he went on his knees and did Matha-Tek to Siri Darbar Sahib. A 16 years old sewadaar of his Jatha got his chance and touched Baba jee’s feet from the back. Baba jee realized it and before he could say anything, that boy ran away towards Dukhbhanjani Beri. Sant jee ordered his Sewadaars to catch the boy and bring him over to him. The boy was pretty fast and it took half an hour for them to catch him and bring him to Baba jee. Baba jee caught hold of both his feet, placed them on his forehead and humbly said, "ਕੀ ਫਿਰ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥ ਲਾਏਂਗਾ?" (Will you ever touch this slave's feet again?). Noteworthy thing is that Baba jee always addressed himself as Ghulaam and never used the pronoun "Mai" (I or we) for himself. You can imagine what would have been the condition of the poor boy when he saw such great Mahapurakh placing his head on his feet. He was greatly vexed and holding his ears by his hands apologized and promised never to do so again. Bhai Vir Singh has written that he was blessed with Sikhi through Baba Sham Singh jee. When Bhai Vir Singh took Amrit from Siri Akal Takhat Sahib, Baba Sham Singh was the Jathedar of Punj Pyare. He writes that Sant jee used to love him greatly but never allowed him to touch his Charan. Baba Sham Singh jee was such great Gurmukh! Read the above and see the difference.. .There seems to be too much proliferation of such wrong actioned people.. Why would they want to change anything.. They already have Raaj themselves… demand their air tickets and off they go. Having been in this very company.. Guroo Sahib saved me… and placed me back on the correct path…. Don’t be misled by such parchaar - however harmless it may sound at the beginning… you'll find you'll spend a bit more time and suddenly what you used to find acceptable is no longer as the snataan math and other rubbish has crept in slowly but surely….. Those people that just cannot understand this post - I feel sorry for them… hope Guroo Sahib does Kirpaa on you to see the way… Keep your connection with Guroo Sahib… you don’t need to know the technicalities of such things.. All you need to do is to feel Guroo Sahib's love and kirpaa and that is by keeping your rehat as ordained by Guroo Sahib, yes learn by example of respected Singhs and Singhnea and never forget the kurbanee's given by our beloved Shaheed Singhs and Singhnea but if you have a slightest doubt of snataan math from anyone - RUN! Each person is responsible for their own actions .. Being from a certain samparday does not make you exempt from your own actions…wearing white and looking the part does not exempt you either . nor does having a few low level ridh/sidhs..... One of the poster's above mentioned taksal - I urge you to go and find the numerous katha's that Sant Jarnail Singh Jee gave - its readily accessible on the net so go and explore... I won't be participating in back and forth discussions as the small minority of those people that have been brainwashed or like to be known here as knowledgeable on this technique or that technique or different types of anand...- well good luck going around in a circle.. I think I’d rather concentrate on my rehat and my gursikhee jeevun as would others. For the wider sangat that is not so naive… Keep strong in your Sikhee - Guroo Sahib made us Sant Sipahee's…. Don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise and don’t let anyone ever interfere in your relationship with Guroo Sahib. There is only one place to run to and have your questions answered and that is the King of Kings!. Bow your head to Guroo Sahib and watch in awe the kirpaa Guroo Sahib showers you. A very grateful daughter of Guroo Gobind Singh Jee.

  8. Can someone tell me more about what Lohri exactly celebrated for? We've never celebrated it but lots of friends families do that are Gursikhs and I would like to counter the argument for celebrating it! I thought it was to do with something else and not Prahlad? Someone please clarify?

  10. From: ravisingh@aol.com for Khalsa Aid Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. Dear Sangat Ji, Thank you for the great response and the encouragement concerning the above appeal. It's always hard work organising these important missions, but with the knowledge that your blessings are with us it becomes much easier. Khalsa Aid will be directing its humanitarian relief efforts in Sri Lanka and Sumatra (Indonesia). In both of these places, we will be working with the local Sikh Sangat to ensure aid reaches the people who desperately need it. With our experience of working with local Sikhs in Gujarat and Orissa during our first two major missions, it was evident how important local knowledge was in managing the distribution of relief aid effectively. As we continue with our latest mission, I will ensure the Sangat is kept up to date on our progress. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. 11. FWD: Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh. We are all aware of the tragic and sad events that have taken place in South East Asia. Thousands of people have died and many remain missing, from Indonesia to Somalia. The fortunate ones who have survived face the threat of disease and long-term economic loss. Khalsa Aid (K.A.) is sending a team of volunteers to Sri Lanka and other affected areas to assess the situation on the ground to assist in the humantarian relief effort. K.A. will be linking up with local NGO's and, where possible, work alongside them to provide assistance. Khalsa Aid was formed in 1999 to help those escaping from the Kosovan war and has since provided aid in Orissa (East India), Turkey, Gujarat (West India), The Democratic Republic of Congo and recently Somalia (this is an ongoing development programme). All volunteers are unpaid and are inspired by the teachings of Sikhi and individuals such as Bhai Kanaiya Ji. All this seva has been possible due to the genorosity of the Sangat. Khalsa Aid is appealing for donations to provide medicine, shelter and long-term education needs in the affected areas. Your contributions so far have helped thousands of unfortunate people in several countries and now the need has arisen again to help those who have lost almost everything. 12. Vaaheguroo Jee Kaa Khaalsaa, Vaaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh Sangat Jee, we received a call from a pyare Gursikh very early this morning to tell us this very sad news. This Gursikh was one of the three Singhs that were present with Baba Jee while he took his last breath. There have been postings that Baba Jee said that he cannot wait any longer and Sant Jee has given a new date of arrival. We clarified this with this Gursikh and he said that this was NOT the case, he did not give any bachan like that in his last few moments. Just wanted to clarify. He will sorely missed, my 5 year old son had great pyaar with him, hes so sad and says that he wants to go to sachkhand with him and meet Vaaheguroo Jee also. He has kept the harr (garland of flowers) that baba jee put around him when they met so very safe alongside all the money that Baba Jee always used to give him!- always when Baba Jee saw him and other children, there was a smile on his face.... He has given much inspiration to all of us, for us to quietly carry on with our Gursikhee Jeevan and better ourselves. Baba Jee you are so missed... Vaaheguroo Jee Kaa Khaalsaa, Vaaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh.
