  1. Hi All, Just to let everyone know what is going on at my local Gurdwara in Coventry, the main one, near the city centre. the committee members and the trustees have given permission to their mate, who is the builder, to do certain building work/extension on the gurdwara, at a cost of £400.000. certain members of the sangat and indian builders, who worship here, have quotes of £180.000 max, so where is the £220.000 going????. their is a massive mis-use of funds going on at this gurdwara and it has been going on for years, (,sangat members that have complained, have been banned from the gurdwara by the committee, as they have been called trouble makers, this causing them to be alienated by their communtiy, so sangat members stop complaining now, even they no what is going on)when is it going to STOP. the mis-use of funds is killing the future of the SIKHS, that attend this place of worship because the youth require access to computers, support, gym, funding for sports teams, reading, writing classes etc etc. some committee members can't even speak, write, read english, but they are in charge of the gurdwara and its assets, funds. so wrong the youth are angry and upset and tired of having their ideas, views not heard by the committee members, who think they own the gurdwara. this will only resort to violence, then only will there voices be heard. the youth feel let down by their piers, gurdwara committee, trustes, so they are turning to drugs, drink, breaking the law or converting to another religion. please help and ask the committee why the above is going on. Maybe and hopefully some sikh groups out their can arrange a massive demo, out side the gurdwara and let their feeling known, so the mis-use of funds can be stopped and the funds can be used for the future of sikhs and the youth Regards topscout
