  1. If i had daughters I would give the equal share too however if they got married and alot of money was spent on their dowry and wedding you have to take and bear that in mind when you making a will. Raising a daughter until she works for herself far exceeds to that of raising a son of similar condition, especially in the western world where you have issues of jewellery, menstruation pads, makeup, beauty products/ treatments, fashion, etc Your sons are going to carry on your surname and your genes your daughter will be married off to anothers familiy who have a duty to treat her as their own daughter and give her what she requires.
  2. The bias is an attempt to interfere in a deceased Sikhs man last will and testimont without considering all the cultural and religious factors behind the implications of this judgement. "The will was declared invalid and the estate will now be divided equally between Mr Singh's six children. Jarnail Singh, who is also solicitor, had defended his father's will. He argued that in line with Sikh tradition, the eldest sons assume the main role and daughters are treated as part of their husband's family and provided for through large wedding dowries." What this means is that because so called witnesses can change their statements of not bearing witness to the will that it can become invalid, and for this family it means the house will be divide maybe they have to relocate due to this judgement. Maybe their elderly mother or other relatives will also have to move out in order these two married daughters (who have no legal right under Sikh and south asian cultural norms) to have the estate or money divided equally.
  3. My personal view is this kalki avtar stuff makes sense if you analyse whats happening in the world and society today. Eventually it will all end in disaster for humanity and the world then again the cycle of the ages start again. Though hinduism's take on it is biased towards keeping their caste system in place which is against the philosophy of Sikhi.
  4. In Sikh and south asian culture and traditions the majority of the will money is given to the sons of the family so that they can look after the family and that lineage is continued whereas the daughters who married into inlaws families usually are given nothing or very little for a good reason (due to huge dowary expenses at their weddings and them becoming part of the other family to continue their lineage). This case shows that some stupid women of Sikh origin are trying to ruin the Sikh community our culture , traditions and the British legal system is aiding them. These daft women in this case dont even realise that most of the money they will now share will be given to the lawyers fee's. We really have to take a stand because this has huge implications for Sikhs and non-sikhs alike who want to leave their money when they die to people they wish to in their will without hindrance from the state.
  5. Daughter overturns Sikh father's will after he leaves majority of £870,000 estate to her brothers By LOUISE BOYLE Last updated at 12:29 PM on 8th September 2011 The daughter of a Sikh pensioner who left only a fraction of his £870,000 will to her, and the majority of the fortune to his sons, has won a legal battle to declare the document invalid. Ranjit Singh died in his 70s in March 2009 leaving almost his entire estate to his three sons Jarnail, Ajaib and Jugdeep Balvinder. Mr Singh, of Crawley, West Sussex, signed the will in 1999. Two of his daughters - including Balvinder Kaur Ahluwalia, who took the case to the High Court - received £20,000 each, while a third sister got nothing. Family feud: Balvinder Kaur Ahluwalia, of Crawley, West Sussex, had her father's will declared invalid after he left most of his £870,000 estate to her three brothers After her father's death, Mrs Ahluwalia, a 42-year-old shipping solicitor, became locked in a legal battle over the will with her three brothers. Mr Singh was brought up in a poor Punjabi village but forged a successful career with British Bakeries after moving to the UK. He lived frugally throughout his life and at the time of his death, his estate was valued at £872,890. During a costly four-day hearing, Mrs Ahluwalia challenged the will on grounds that the two witnesses to the document were not both present at the same time to see Mr Singh sign it. The will was declared invalid and the estate will now be divided equally between Mr Singh's six children. Jarnail Singh, who is also solicitor, had defended his father's will. He argued that in line with Sikh tradition, the eldest sons assume the main role and daughters are treated as part of their husband's family and provided for through large wedding dowries. In his verdict, Judge Mark Cawson QC said there was 'the strongest evidence' that the legal formalities had not been complied with. Central to the judge's ruling was the evidence of one witness to the will, Mr Singh's 78-year-old next-door neighbour, Maurice Grantham. Mr Grantham was 'adamant' that he and the other witness were not present at the same time when Mr Singh signed. Judge Cawson said: 'I am conscious, and have kept fully in mind, that the effect of this judgment is to frustrate Mr Singh's testamentary intentions, and the result will be there is an intestacy as there is no later will. Of Mrs Ahluwalia who brought the case, the judge added: 'I gained the impression that the present litigation is very much a mission on her part to correct what she perceives to be injustice and, sadly, there is plainly no love lost between her and the brothers.' 6. The dharmic religions do have very similar concepts though Buddhism doesnt believe in a supreme God does it, they believe in themselves? I remember seeing a video on hinduism's rig veda where the presenter was saying there are 4 gods who control different universes or something similar. Interesting stuff but left me feeling it cant be the truth.
  7. I think there are some books out there i remember seeing a few on ebay but they are not very inspirational in my view they seem bog standard boring illustrations created by someone trying to make money on the back of all religious genre kids books.
  8. What relevance does the Kalki Avatar has in Sikhism and who is this avatar? Is he here yet on earth, or has been or is coming soon? The Muslims claim he was prophet muhammad. The Hindu's claim he will be shiva / vishnu or an incarnation of him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZYcMu6DSEw&feature=related
  9. Indeed jesus did set mankind a very good example to follow however the bible is corrupt there are many versions of it. The teachings contradict the message of Christianity, Jesus was basically a Sikh in all but name, a disciple of God. Being sacrificed for all our sins is nonsense, if that is the case i can go out sinning right now and he /God will forgive me time after time its a silly concept. Waheguru via Karma is the best judge either forgiving or punishing of our wrong past, present and future actions. The inherent human nature is to sin and learn from his experiences to know the difference what is right from wrong. This is where Sikhi is beautiful it teaches one to perfect their character, this false forgiveness of sins is a red herring because what is sin now wasnt sin back then and what is sin then isnt sin now in present times as society evolves.
  10. India is a Union. The politicians in power want to claim its one country when its not its made up of several past kingdoms which has many different ethnic religious nations. So this union like the European union is only as strong as the consent of the people and working together for the common good of the union. If the main big parties of central government cant reconcile the many different nations within the union to work together then its a doomed project it will fall apart within a few years if concessions are not made to appease the aggrieved peoples. In the meanwhile the strength and numbers of muslims within the union is increasing at the expense of the dharmic faiths (hindus. sikhs, jains, buddhists, etc). Hinduveer you make a valid point in regards to the numbers of Sikhs and Hindus in pakistan that are decreaseing since 1947 because of persecution it is an important issue that we must highlight and bring world attention to. If no one makes a fuss there will be no non-muslims left in Pakistan while numbers of Muslims in Indian Union will increase threatening the power structure and voting in of governments that favor their community than others. The hindu community can see this but our daft Sikh leadership and people focus on small issues when the tsumani is approaching like in 1947 they looked on at the sea until it washed them out and Sikhs were left with nothing. Our people really need to get a kick up the back side and have foresight at the future implications.
  11. Which vile creatures are doing this? Why isnt Guru ji's saroops protected by armed Sikhs at all times? Where ever our Guru Ji is at least one armed Sikh should be present to make sure there is no repeat such disgraceful and hurtful incidents.
  12. A "churah" Sikh is just as equal as a Jatt Sikh, only fake Sikhs who take pride in their race/caste do not acknowledge this fact and so to me those castist Sikhs are not Sikhs in my eyes they are the problem. The only disagreement I can see for different caste/sect Sikhs inter-marrying is the practises they practise. Then I can see a conflict of interest of people of rival sects. Because some do idol worshipping which is against Sikhi and if you engage in that you cant be a Sikh thats one of the fundamental no-no's. You get most ravidassia's who say they are Sikh fair enough but then why do arti of a state of bhagat ravi das Ji. Arti is a Hindu ritual thus taking them out of the fold of Sikhism and into Hinduism or their own faith if they so wish to create one. We have Sikhs who do pooja pahaat in front of images of the Guru's this too is idol worship and not allowed, you can give your respect to these images but in no circumstance should a Sikh think that the Guru's are God almighty and so they can give them magical powers by answering their prayers, only Waheguru/Ram/Allah can do that. Guru's are servants/messengers/prophets of God who came down to guide mankind.
  13. JasSinghKhalsa, My only agenda here is to wake up Sikhs so that we can spread Sikhi and for the unity of Sikhs for achieving common political goals. Look at yourselves at the moment your infighting between jatha's never mind sects and dont even get me started about castes. Your agenda maybe to split Sikhs into ever narrow sects until only you and people like you are left in Sikhism and then you will wonder where have Sikhs gone? Sikhs would have been driven out because only so called rehetdhari's who love kesh more than isqh for Sikhi are left. Can you see the madness at the moment? people laugh at Sikhs infighting because Sikhs have been left confused by SGPC who offer no real leadership for Sikhs because they are setup by freemasons back in 1920s when the British Christian imperialists were ruling the Indian subcontinent. Kesh is important if your wishing to be baptised into the Khalsa order, and yes it is an ORDER. Being a Khalsa was not made mandatory for all Sikhs to become, did Guru Ji say that? "ALL Sikhs are now required to be Khalsa's or get lost". No I dont think so........... Khalsa is a military order just as the knights templer are for the Christians and mujahadeen are for Muslims. However Khalsa are supposed to be sant saphi's other religions i dont know what their order's code of conducts are. A Sikh is one who gives his allegiance to Sikhism and bows down only to Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. This is what you and your SGPC enemies of Sikhism hate because you want us to be defeated by anti-sikh forces surrounded by all sides from Khalifat loving pakistani muslims in the west to indian union and its brahmical forces in the east its all part of the plan also the 3rd force is covert conversion of Sikhs to Christianity by masons dressed up as Sikhs who do the bidding of vatican city. Slowly the plan is unfolding.... And I have researched enough to understand what is going on here in our history that ment ever since the Sikh empire we have seen the steap decline of fortunes of our great and proud Sikh nation. The powers that be have tried their best to make Sikhs fools but now Sikhs like myself and others are waking fellow patriotic Sikhs up so we can take Sikhi back. No has the right to say who can and can not be a Sikh. A Sikh is a different entity from an amritdhari Khalsa. The sooner we recognise that and the sooner we get rid of SGPC or reform it we can can start seeing Sikhi going on the rise again.
  14. Put voting aside for one moment, that is a red hearing and non issue. The real issue is the defination of what a Sikh is and that goes to the core of the argument, one which was created in 1920-50s by SGPC and has lead the Sikhs to disasters since. You need to look at the core of what SGPC has done by defining only a baptised amritdhari Sikh (ie a Khalsa) can be a Sikh, this is a disasterous way of thinking and has lead to marginalisation of a whole number of sects and turning away those who wished to embraced Sikhi meaning we could have had a country back in 1947. If you keep looking at small issues here and there and judging Sikhs by length of beard and bana. Then you have truely lost it. Sikhi is not in your appearnce Sikhi is in your heart how much love you have for your eternal Guru Sri guru Granth Sahib Ji maharaj. SGPC has created generations of fools who been running around in circles like headless chickens because its in the interests of the powers behind SGPC to see that influence of Sikhism is contained to a small sect. If we let that plan to continue there will be no Sikhs left in a few decades time because the other religions will have enough numbers to over run Punjab and other area's once inhabited by Sikhs.
  15. Real talk from just one sahejdhari Sikh, as you can see they are just as proud to be Sikh than any other this is what many forget. You get keshdhari Sikhs who support the enemy and murder Sikhs who want freedom. Never judge appearance of a Sikh, judge them by their heart and their love for Sikhi and Sikhs. Thousands of monay Sikhs are voicing their opinions on our political situation and if need be ready to fight and die for Sikhism should the call arise. Throughout history this has been the case. 2011 Patriotic Sehajdhari and some Keshdhari Sikhs Giving Their Support To Khalistan on black days of 14th / 15th august when the Sikh homeland was divide between India and Pakistan.
  16. Singhballer, This is the problem Keshdhari/amrithdhari Sikhs been worrying about since 1947 and that fear was created by SGPC (freemasons). During the times of the Sikh misls there was keshdhari, amrithdari and sahejdhari Sikhs. Sahejdhari Sikhs were essential for the survive of the Sikh panth during the mughul era because any guy who appeared overtly like a gurSikh would be hunted down and killed there and then. Sahejdhari's were to the mughuls and afghans as underground christians were to the romans. They provided the continuation of the faith at the most difficult phases in our history. This we have to achknowledge and this is where we have to draw up another rehat maryada that takes inspirtional from SGGS ji because I cant find anywhere in the SGGS ji that states once must keep their kesh to be a Sikh to gain salvation. All Gurbani says is that you keep your kesh to because you are humble you renounce your ego. Guru Nanak dev ji even states in gurbani how sidhus (hindu holymen) keep dirty matted uncut hair thinking they will get spiritual powers. He was showing what a nonsense that idea was. We must go back to the fundamentals of what a Sikh is and go from there otherwise our enemies will always seek to divide Sikhs into groups and we will get no where politically. There is no credible alternative at the moment, that is the problem.
  17. I agree with your point that it is a suspicious and dangerous move by congress they shouldnt get their paws into something that will backfire on them they already are hated by intelligent Sikhs. I would say before giving the votes to sehajdhari's lets reform the SGPC so that we can clearly let sehajdhari's come into the faith than left hanging in the margins as they form the majority. Majority is the reason why Sikhs are not getting anywhere in politics, majority is the reason why SGPC was created so Sikhs do not get a country or a vote bank or enough community to defend themselves from anti-sikh forces. When Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji's saroop is burnt in Punjab itself the SGPC says "its an unforunate incident" Whats so unfortunate about that? its a combat situation do or die for Sikhs we are ready to die for our Guru what is SGPC talking about unfortunate? what kind of sheeps are they, they are ment to be the leaders of the worldwide Sikh community.
  18. Together we can work to let it not happen. Maybe some Sikhs can not see the bigger picture but those who have researched into military intelligence tactics, geo-poltical history, freemasons, elitist families, Sikh history, Sikhism. We can openly see who the enemies of Sikhism are and who starts the corruption, divisions and for what purpose. As long as Sikhs do not have political power no one cares what the Sikhs do but once they do, everyone wants to know especially rival power brokers because Sikhs collectively are a strong force for good in the world we wish well for all of mankind, whereas those who oppose Sikhs just want their group to do well.
  19. Amrinder is just like badal. There is no difference in terms of trust or credibility both camps are in it for the financial wealth and fame that power brings. This is where Sikhs need to look at credible alternatives and look closely at the role of SGPC and see how since its inception been instrumental in the downfall and decline of Sikh influence in the region.
  20. Read my posts again and then read them again brother. You will not see me once support Indian congress terrorist party, they are enemies of Sikhism and Sikhs. What I am saying is look behind the powers who are trying to divide Sikhs look at the bigger picture. All i say is captain amrinder is right on this issue. He is a congress official so doesn't get my sympathies but when a person speaks the truth he should be given credit. Broaden your mind see the elite powers who are playing our uneducated people like fools like they did to break up our empire that we had established through many sacfirces and hard work all gone in the pages of history because people want to limit the influence of Sikhism. The best way to do that is keep dividing Sikhs, sehajdhari Sikhs are Sikhs and proud Sikhs. They maybe not practising gurmat, however if you declare them non-sikhs you are part of the problem and enemy of Sikhism you are giving aid to those who want to see Sikhs surrounded by anti-sikh forces so that eventually you will only find a handful of Sikhs here and there in punjab because the rest of the population have been bullied out of the faith. I will not let that happen and I will stand up for the rights of Sehajdhari Sikhs to keep making their valuable contributions for the betterment of the Sikh panth and influence in geo-political senseive area's. This is the only way the panth will expand into pakistan and other area's otherwise sit back and cry as population decreases because of madness put forward by SGPC (freemasons).
  21. Under Gadaffi Libya was a rising super power with the ability to lift Africa out of the poverty and debt trap the west had put it. You can see why it had to be taken down by any means necessary by the western establishments. Gadaffi hated the islamist jihadi's who wanted to set up their own khalifat state which is against the interests of all apart from a few mullah nutters.
  22. Its all politics, but the power behind it is SGPC and Congress party. Akali Dal are just marginalised fools who are corrupt and dont realise they are being played. SGPC needs to change the defination of what a Sikh is so that our numbers increase and we can see some real changes for the benefit of the Sikh panth and Punjab until then you will never see Khalsa raj because congress party and SGPC's (freemasons) plans are to divide, divide and more divide until we cant work for the same goal.
  23. 1951 would mean after partition, wouldnt it? prior partition the land called pakistan now had quite a sizeable Sikh and Hindu population. Infact most of the Sikhs lived in what is now Pakistan occupied Punjab when they migrated to the east hey found themselves in less fertile lands and had to make the best they could. North west frontier province also had quite a large population of indigenous Hindu and Sikhs. The Hindu's who ere living there being the real afghans and pakthoons who lived their for centuries until Islam in the form of Ghazni came to invade, conquer and fight the non-muslims of that region. In NWFP there is still a sizeable community of Sikhs who survived the genocide because they lived in villages who had good relations with their muslim counterparts and were treated like family. Then arrieved some in 80s and 90s who were Afghan Sikh and Hindu refugee's who were forced to flee after another ethnic cleansing and genocide on non-muslims by the vile muslim jihadi mujahadeen zealots in that region.
