  1. Slowly changing my life around and getting more into Sikhi, Something I've wanted an answer to but never understood if this is right or wrong, I'm getting more into Sikhi and reading more into it for example reading Bani and listening. Just as a learner and developing myself and hopefully plan to take Amrit. Question that I've always never understood: Why do some Kuriya wear a Patkha and walk around but still do their eyebrows or shave and cut their hair? What will they gain from this? I say to myself if you wear a Pukta it should be a start where u should have stopped doing all the hair removing stuff...I'm, I right? My opinion I don't see the point in someone doing this what do they gain? I asked a random Penji "why do you cover your head with a Patkha?" As she does wears makeup and cuts her hair etc. Her reply to me "My boyfriend is a Gursikh he wants to marry someone that covers their head so I wear a patkha so his family will expect me!" I was a bit stunned by that reply I think she missed the true meaning of covering our head... I on the other hand cover my head with a Patkha when making food and serving the family, doing path, or going to camps. I've also had Gursikhs come to stay over my family house and have full respect for them and they have always said keep it up and take Amrit one day because they seen and know me. But one said "you don't need to have something on your head to prove that you do Naam, Sewa etc it's all about the inside not the outside, you need to have the heart and mind"..Is this person right to have said this and true? I had a issue where another a few Amritdary Penji's were being very judgemental towards me when they met me, it's a normal thing because I have it all the time I greeted them with a Fateh it wasn't what they expected as I didn't wear a Keski seemed a outsider to them so they looked and judged straightaway thinking what is this kuri doing why is she here but they were family friends. So they watched me threw out the day as they were guests and we all done Rhearass together and thankful I've learnt a lot of path with the help of family I requested id do the Ardass with a bit of help as I'm still young learner tent to forget a few bits after they apologised to me and said Penji why don't u wear a Keski. I felt do I need to wear a Keski to prove that I do my Path wake up at Amritvela and do Sewa for people? I think when I'm ready to wear a Keski I will! Isn't it right to know as much first about our Sikhi and then take Amrit I think like that I first would like to learn and be ready for this but some take Amrit and then learn but we all are learning something new every day. I don't know much as I'm learning so would be great for Gursikhs to give me there view on this. Forgive me if I've said anything wrong. Gur Fateh.
  2. WJKK WJKF, I'm pretty shocked how people go so Low and make such deep and disappointing comments like that. Well for Gupt12 for your information this Akaal Muay Thai classes are one of the most insipiring thing I had seen and also attended. Helped me in so many forms of ways physical, mentally etc. I rate all the people that teach this and wish them all the best and with guru ji kirpa hope this becomes a big hit and more people to attend I'd recommend it to everyone, to attend.

  5. This is how some sikh Kuriya put shame on us... Why the hell has this Girl got Kaur in her name I don't no.. Sikh females shouldn't expose themselves in any form of way she shouldn't be using the term sikh!
  6. Self harming won't get you far and you won't gain anything from it, Who are you doing it for? It's truely not worth it. Feeling lonely everyone one does and can lead to alot. But that's were you have to stay strong you have been blessed and taken Amrith very good step now work your way up. Keeping busy-Distract yourself by going out listening to music anything that interests you, Talking to people you trust-The important thing is to find ways to start talking to someone you trust. It could be to a friend, a family member, a professional counsellor, a psychologist or a psychotherapist. Find another way to express your feelings. Focus in your mind on positives and be kind to yourself!
  7. Ive just come out of a relationship with a Gursikh which lasted for 2years, He had the image of a gursikh wore a Durmalla etc... But never had the heart and mind or respect for others. For example this singh had many realtionships with many felmales and continued to flirt with other kuriya while commited to the me. However he flirted and done bad sin for example sex. And trust was a issue and ending it and moved on to the next kuri in weeks. Even the family all knew that I was in a relationship with him, Having no respect used me and attends ransbhais and looks a loving person on the outside but the inside is horrible doesn't have no respect and think he knows about sikhi but doesn't if he knew about sikhi he shouldn't go toward the 5 evils in sikhi... Im not the one to talk as I am not amritary but I am going down that path with guidence because I know what was my past was a bad sin so for me to become pure is to ask for forgivenss from guruji and go down the right path but he doesn't seem to learn...Why I don't no He has destroyed me as i'm finding it hard to come to terms but i still feel hurt when i see him at kirtan programms all happy life no care no sorry nothing. Why do they get involved and do stuff like that? being a Gursikh means to control yourself and having respect. How do It try and forget my past?, How I look forward in live with out the past comming in my mind? I do my paat everyday listen to kirtan...I come from a family that are all amritdary that guide me too but. somethings is hard to dicuss i just try and smile and say its all ok.
