  1. how about this? is this acceptable?
  2. Punjabiboyz Veer ji , have you contacted High Court Judge LAKHVINDER SINGH WALIA? He wears a Dastaar and I'm sure if you contacted him through the Botswana Government website ( I don't have contact details) I'm sure he will be able to help.
  3. personally, I'm really glad that these guys have actually put something together of this calibre. We live in 21st century. We go on about not being recognised in this country and want to shout about being omitted as a category from the censes. but when we look at some of the achievements of our brothers and sisters, why can't we -and why shouldn't we celebrate them on a prominent platform for the world to see.? why not I believe this is the first event of its kind, surely we should constructively criticise -if we have to? As for the 'sikh' element-excuse my lack of knowledge but my understanding is that we should be living sikhie- as a gristi jeevan. that is living breathing and practising. who are we to judge how much another is living that way. ARE YOU? its not just about wearing a bana or knowing your nitnem off by heart. what about DAYA and PYAAR for each other- sarbaat da bhalaa. how you going to judge that in these people., maybe we should look at positives instead of picking holes all the time- if we do have issues- speak to those involved and maybe help make things better next time. these guys may be grateful for advice and welcome suggestions.
  4. I think nominations were put in a while ago, and anyone could have nominated people for each category. even if you don't agree with the nominations, why don't you look at the bigger picture? this is the first event of its kind and finally something out there celebrating achievements by our amazing Sikh Kaum. we are always complaining about this and that, how we never get recognised as a separate entity, how no one takes us seriously well if we can celebrate our success in this way- globally ( i believe the event will be televised) maybe people will take notice of our invaluable contributions and our standing in this society. lets please look at the positive side rather than pick holes- personally i hope this becomes a yearly event- then if anyone feels someone else is more deserving lets get them nominated.
  5. The world’s first Sikh Business Awards ceremony http://www.sikhawards.com/ Finally something positive and recognising our strengths in this country and such a big event with no meat or alcohol! just proves it can be done.
  6. Marriage should be based on mutual trust and respect. are these not the basis of any relationship, be it with your life partner or with god? I am a girl and if I felt I could lie to my future husband, how could I have any respect for him? No reason or justification can be given for this, its not a chance encounter she's having. this is supposed to be the rest of your life. Don't build you house on sand.
  7. so what are we going to do about it??? what action is going to be taken???? we have soooo many keyboard warriors (you don't need any courage to type!)
  8. In any guru ghar the problem is that 'committees' are prevalent. how on earth can ANYONE have the audacity to call themselves Pardaan in front of Dhan Dhan Siri Guru Maharaaj Ji? I do understand there has to be people to run certain affairs that go hand in hand with the day to day running of any Gurudwara but these people need to remember that they are there to serve not rule. we all should look for SEVADAARS not commitee members.
