  1. Sikhi Discussion Classes at Guru Arjan Dev Gurdwara, Stanhope Street, Derby on Fridays, 7.30pm - 10pm. Punjabi Classes at Guru Arjan Dev Gurdwara, Stanhope Street, Derby on Sundays. 10.30am - 12.30pm. To be honest... the classes are there, the support is there.. but the youth don't want to come.
  2. As a teenager guy, I am a huge user of Facebook as are many people my age. What I see on there on a daily basis, is just hugely wrong and disgusting. I see our sisters uploading pictures where they are drinking alcohol and are dressed half-naked. I see our brothers trying to chat up anything they can get. Is this where we are going? Our youth have lost all connection with their Sikh roots and nothing is being done about it. This state is currently the worst it has been ever... so what should we do? Also, if any Sikh teenagers want to discuss Sikhi on Facebook, feel free to message me your profile link and I will add you.
  3. And yes I agree that the Tru Skool camp always has videos which families can sit down and watch together. I can name a massive list of people who get videos done for their songs which are just filled with booze or half-naked girls but I struggle making a list of people who make clean videos that do UK bhangra music. Also much respect to Tru Skool and Specialist for this;
  4. In my view, the purpose of every Sikh's life is to work hard for what they get, to meditate on the name of the True Lord, and to selfless serve others (Seva). The rest will come itself; if you live a honest and true life and the rest of it will take care of itself.
  5. I'm a teenager who's quite into his UK bhangra music but I would have to agree that I am quite appalled at some videos that I have to see. This MC Special one is just shocking; completely and utterly degrading... but the reason why he made a video like this is because this is what most of the market (teenage girls similar to the ones shown in the video) like hearing and seeing! To quote the words of Tru Skool; "there is no quality control!".. I think the owners of Brit Asia; Jaz and Davy, should have a bit more of a screening process to what they play.. cause if they're wasn't a media outlet for these artists then they simply wouldnt bring out crap like this!
