If you don’t understand this simple point about India then nobody can help you. As everybody knows, India censor the news that is shown in the country, and only provide their own propaganda, that is why people outside the Punjab area know more about what is happening to Sikhs in Punjab (e.g., BBC documentary about the recent rape is banned in India). It is only recently; that people in Punjab are getting aware of things due to social media (however, it is only available to middle class and educated people). Presently, Bapu Surat Singh is on hunger strike to get Sikh political prisoners released from the Indian jails, but no Indian newspaper is covering this news. Yes, people from outside Punjab are making people aware of this news in Punjab. I can keep on going, but it will not make a difference because according to you Sikhs are not being prosecuted in India. Remember, people who killed thousands of Sikhs were made ministers in India and they are still free, whereas innocent Sikhs are still rotting in Indian Jails.

We cannot expect any thing decent from Badal/Saini govt. Nobody is more anti-Sikh than Badal. My prayers are with Bapu ji.

Thousands of Sikhs were killed all over India after Indira's death, and all these hindus were made leaders depending on how many sikhs they killed. I guess not giving Sikhs justice is insuregency!!

Sikh prisoners have been in jail for more than 20 years (close to 30 for some). Hindus get out of jail in India after 14 years, and if these hindus kill sikhs then they don't go to jail at all. Nothing has helped Sikh prisoners in the last 30 years. Please explain what that "something else" is. Please do!

hsingh, As I mentioned in my previous posting, our goal should be to impress upon Delhi Sikhs not to vote for SAD/BJP because these parties are not helping Sikh prisoners (election is Feburary 7). This will have impact on Punjab. Also, you might be amazed how India (Hindus) have infilitrated Sikh Boards. Why will some Sikh (unless he/she is Hindu) will not support Sikh prisoners!

When I wrote the first message on this thread, I was afraid that Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa will not be covered by the Indian Media and nothing will come out of his morcha. However, it got the coverage, and now Sikh prisoner issues are in the forefront of Sikh agenda. Yes, Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa did accomplish a lot. It is unfortunate that at this time Morhca is falling apart, and even some Sikhs are asking what has been accomplished. These are the same Sikhs who have done nothing for Sikhs in the last 30 years. As Sikhs, we need to do everything possible to keep Sikh prisoners issue in the forefront. Delhi elections are coming up, and if Delhi Sikhs don’t vote for BJP/SAD because of Sikh prisoners then Badal will be left with no option, but to release Sikh prisoners!
