  1. http://www.mangaloretoday.com/mt/index.php?action=headlines&type=2161 Eight-year-old girl beaten to death by Dera baba in Amritsar Mtoday news / PTI Amritsar, Sept 25: In a shocking case, a minor girl was beaten to death, allegedly by Sukhdev Singh, a Dera Sewadar (religious worker), in an Amritsar village on Saturday. The girl was brought from Maharashtra about 10 months ago and was and held captive here by the baba. A few days ago, she managed to escape and told villagers how she was tortured. "Baba bought me from Nanded in Maharashtra a few months back. He treated me very badly. I worked for him at Dera and if I go back to him he will kill me," said the girl. But the villagers did not take the matter seriously and the girl was sent back to the Dera. Hours after she narrated her ordeal, the 8-year-old was found dead, allegedly beaten to death by Sukhdev Singh. The village panchayat met and decided to call the police, but the baba intervened promising he would take good care of the girl. But hours later, her body was found at the baba’s house; he and his wife are now on the run. "We tried our best to ensure that she stays fine. The baba said sorry and we thought it would be okay now. We even informed the police but nothing really happened. Whatever happened was not right," said Swarn Singh, the village elder. Villagers allege the police tried to shield the baba by registering a case of suicide. But after they intervened, a murder case was lodged. "We are waiting for post-mortem report. We are investigating the matter and also looking for the baba who is absconding," said Bazz Singh, SHO, Chohla Sahib. The action in this case has been too little too late. Had the police and villagers acted swiftly, the girl could have been saved.

  3. http://panthic.org/articles/2664 Amritsar Sahib (KP) – Panthic.org has received information that a function is being organized by supporters of the Noormehal cult also known as Divya Jyoti Jagran in Guru ki Nagri Amritsar Sahib. While taking a strong notice of this event, Amritsar's Sikh population reported the incident with the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee but no actions have been taking so far to stop its occurrence. Panthic.org was notified that the program is scheduled to be held on July 29-30th at Mal Road Amritsar. If the Sikh leadership does not take a stand to put an end to this samagam, more will be enjoyed by the Noormehal activists openly throughout Punjab. It was also learned that the followers of the cult staged a protest and stopped traffic at Bhandari Bridge, urging local administration to allow them to hold the controversial congregation in Amritsar Sahib. The followers of cult stopped the traffic for almost five hours at the Bhandari Bridge, which is one of the traffic hubs of the city. They freed the traffic on the assurance of the district administration allow them to hold their gathering in the city within the next few days. Sikh organizations are vehemently against the Noormehal cult as they have hurt the Sikh sentiments and distorted Sikh religious scriptures. Dehdhari Gurudoms have been prevalent in Punjab for many decades. Although many older groups such as Radhaswamis and Darshan Dasis are not as rampant as they were in past, many newer groups are now establishing stoutly throughout the state. One such group is the Noormehal’s Diyva Jyoti Jagran cult which is led by Mahesh Kumar Jha, more commonly known to as “Ashutosh Maharaj”. With substantial Government support, this cult has been actively misguiding the innocent Sikh village dwellers of Punjab by promoting 'bippar-vaadi' rituals. It is obvious from the activities of the organization that it is receiving illegal financial support from affluent sources. This only became apparent after relations between the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Shamsher Dullo and Ashutosh Jha were exposed by the press.

  6. so much courage the jhujaroos had...a lot of us young kids that speak of khalistan online dont even know what it was like for those jhujaroos...reading these stories make me shake but i still would never know the courage they had, the pain singh singhnia endured.. they left behind their families their everything for khalistan yet we see sikhs that say that they dont need khalistan... i guess its all because those that say this never read stories of the shaheeds...or they never tried feeling the pain of panth thanks for posting veere
  7. i love the penjis post about how she rather die than be the way she used to be.. I have felt like crap too sometimes i am not amritthari yet but since i started wearing keski and didnt do nitnem i felt like i just had it for show. i totally understand where you are coming from. my story isnt different than yours. i used to do everything i wanted before i got more into sikhi but there was still this emptiness that couldnt be fulfilled... then after highschool before i started college.. i was spending more time alone.. i would listen to songs about shaheeds was very passionate about learning about shaheeds but then there was this weirdness... i was reading about those that died for sikhi yet i didnt do anything myself.... i didnt even keep my kesh... so after the realization i started keeping kesh started doing paath but then the whole maya issues that held me back and still hold me back... i was soo scared that i would go back to how i used to be so i started wearing keski and thought it would really keep me on track.... then i started feeling horrible for being "keski wali" and having such a filthy soul.. i remember crying because of jealousy one time because i didnt know why i felt the way i did.. i stopped doing my paath... i knew i didnt do what a keski wali should be doing it was sooo annoying it was killing my self confidence. I am starting to get better at nitnem now but still stuck in maya It is soooooo hard to be into sikhi away from Maya... although i knew i dont ever want to be the person i was i still sometimes would give in and say to myself... that ahhh... if i were the way i used to be i could do this and that..or why look like a singhni when i dont act like one.. everytime someone said ahh.....you are so much into sikhi or something close to that....or asked me when i am going to take amrit?? i would get really really upset....... its because you dont want people to think you are something you are not.. and when you look like something you are not (bana and no bhakti - it gives you a lot of pain... ) but what I realized that although i know being away from sikhi is like HELL i start to go that way and only thing that can keep me from being that person is sangat. Sangat brings back that pyaas for amrit... and that pyaas is what makes you do nitnem and follow rehit When i go to keertan i am sitting there with all that maya thinking bad about people around me and then seeing a gursikh pyara takes all that away.. and makes you feel humble..go to keertan, go to reinsabaiis... do seva... you will be fine ijn@w idsMdiVAw durmiq vM\Y imqR AswfVy syeI ] jinhaa dhisa(n)dharriaa dhuramath va(n)n(j)ai mithr asaaddarrae saeee || The sight of them banishes my evil-mindedness; they are my only true friends. hau FUFydI jgu sbwieAw jn nwnk ivrly kyeI ]2] ho dtoodtaedhee jag sabaaeiaa jan naanak viralae kaeee ||2|| I have searched the whole world; O servant Nanak, how rare are such persons! ||2|| Longing for keertan, vaheguroojee... bairaag... is what you get when you go to keertan.......and with that longing you get the desire for simran and paath Try going to Reinsabaiii .. fly, take a train or w/e if you need to... 9. sorry again veerji i spoke disrespectfully and rudely.. what you wrote above is exactly what i was trying to say... saying too much and not saying it right made me look like i was supporting the missionaries.. i think khalsa aid will agree to it if we find someone who could do the job.. the responsibility isn't just theirs (khalsa aids) but ours as welll.. we should do vichaar on who could step up.. and then try to get someone with sojhii to ask that jathebandi... if they are interested and would be dedicated then yeah!! khalsa aid will definitely agree.
  10. most taksalis i know fly to get to akj smagams and also take part in akj simran... there are some that say bad.... but those are usually the ones that dont even follow taksal rehit marayada properly those that keep rehit have naam bani... would never abuse jatha of fellow gursikhs.... i know nihang singhs that go to akj samagams... so there is a difference in perspective are you are willing to look at auguns of few from a jathebandi or guns of so many gursikhs of the jathebandi....
  11. when bhai sahibs petition was denied News channel did a whole presentation on bhai sahib but didnt mention the positive point such as : lack of evidence and how justice shaw decided against death sentence
  12. Veerji sorry my posts sound Rude but i was just frustrated. the reason i talked about conversions is because the area they are teaching in there is a high rate of conversion into christainity because christain missionaries offer education and a better life.... a lot of people give in and convert... i agreee with you..... you shouldnt do uthna bethna with guru nindak but GPS veerjis approach isn't right!! instead of fixing the problem, trying to find a solution he seems to be bashing khalsa aid. is that the right approach? i am sorry my previous posts didnt make much sense.. i want to make it clear i DONT support Missionaries but i Believe that we shouldnt stop supporting khalsa aid...whatever problem we see we should try to fix it because we own khalsa aid....it runs on sangats money so..... it is OUR responsibility that we fix that problem rather than bashing khalsa aid..... Question shouldnt be whether or not to support khalsa aid Question SHOULD be How to get some other jathebandi like taksal or someone with neutral sikhi beliefs to teach the kids.. Time shouldnt be spent bashing Khalsa Aid but In trying to find that someone who could do that seva (once they agree, let khalsa aid know) GPS veerji sorry i sound really rude but i am sick of people bringing down sikhi causes...they rely on funds given by us people and if we dont stop blaming them for something that could be easily solved by us then we are hurting important sikh causes khalsa aid is working for. i am NOT supporting the missionaries.. all i am saying is that GPS veerjis approach is wrong!! instead of attacking khalsa aid for what they are doing..... He should get other jathebandian like taksal with appropriate sikhi beliefs to step up and take up the seva missionaries are now doing... Just because khalsa aid is taking help from missionaries doesnt mean we should Not support them..we should do something about it!!! We should make sure kids get appropriate education by talking to other jathebandis and see if they are interested in helping out... We need to understand where the problem lies.. not in khalsa aid what they are doing is great.... problem is in missionaries.. since khalsa aid didnt take missionary problem seriously and still gave them the seva (i understand why they did it (because they were the only ones that came forward) So i repreat Since we all know missionaries arent right we should talk to other jathebandis and get them to ask khalsa aid if they could do the seva... sitting here and complaining about this and that isnt the way out!! Btw most of the books in sacha sauda and other sikhi stores are of sikh missionaries.. in pretty much all schools kids read sikh missionary books for religious studies.. So problem is much bigger than who khalsa aid got to teach the kids.. NOT ONLY THOSE kids but mostly alll kids are taught from sikh missionary... Like i said before i am not pro missionary i do support you and dont think kids should be learning from them... BUT THE PROBLEM is much bigger than that... and GPS your approach is wrong.. you cant make khalsa aid look bad.. it relies on funds given by sangat.. and they take up lot other sevas than just giving kids education Like i said before.. i agree that they arent the best ones to learn from but then IF NO ONE ELSE HAS COME FORWARD i rather have my kids learn from them than not learn at all... OR have my kids convert to christainity cos they were never taught basics of sikhi.. so yh..... i am sorry i was and am rude i dont know a better way of talking to people i am moorakh.... i dont know how to be talk and i sound like i am talking outta ego but all i am saying is its frustrating to see khalsa aid being attacked as they are doing so much for the panth.. yet we are only looking at their small faults that could be easily fixed by sangat.
  13. veerji it doesnt matter... now since gps is sooo concerned and other people are so concerned then why dont they contact those jathebandis and ask them to contact khalsa aid khalsa aid has many other projects that they are working on.. those that are concerned should contact the jathebandis and ask them to contact khalsa aid so they could tkae on the seva of teaching the kids... missionaries probably offered help and khalsa aid took it.. other jathebandis probably never offered that help.. our panth is soooo indulged in politics and eevrything that it isnt focusing on important issues like helping families of shaheeds.. missionary college is messed up with its beleifs but they gave that helping hand to people when it was needed...... now we cant tell those people that ... missionary college is messed up..... dont get help from them......THEY NEED THE HELP They are going to get it from whoeever offers it so the point is that GPS veerji is sooo concerned about that... he should approach taksal and other jathebanis and try to get them to do something.... not start attacking khalsa aid.... this is going to keep kids from getting the education because he brings it up every chance he gets and starts attacking khalsa aid... if it bothers him so much then like i said before WHY not getting others to come forward...!!????
  14. another thing... just because missionary is teaching the kids doesnt mean their sikhi beliefs are going to be messsed up.. i am sure they arent going to emphasize the messed up beliefs they have.. my dad my massi they all were taught at the missionary college but their beliefs are perfectly normal.... there are missionaries doing kathas at gurughars talking against gurmat and simran..... how about you fix that before you attack khalsa aid. those kids need education and if missionary college is the only way then why not??
  15. what are you talking about i know many taksalis that go to akj smagams and do also go to akj simran programs!! there are ignorant people everywhere nomatter what jathebandi race color creed...... cant blame whole jathebandi because of the few ignorant ones.. usually those ignorant ones dont even follow the basics of sikhi and have no kamaaiii just ego!! reread what you wrote above lot of nihang singhs and akj singhs also have naam and bani
  16. GPS so many people already mentioned that they got gurmat missionarys help because no one esle came forward... can you stop repeating yourself over and over again... as i said a lot of people dont like missionary college but they would never stop them from doing the seva of teaching kids of shaheed families because they know that if they dont do it no one else is going to do it... isnt it better that they learn missionary than be converted to christanity by christain missionaries... (so they have acess to education) or they dont get education at all.. So stop yelling about all this and stop making khalsa aid look bad.... IF YOU CANT DO THAT SEVA YOURSELF AND IF YOU CANT HAVE TAKSAL or other jathebandis come forward in teaching them gurmat THEN stop complaining!!!!!!!!!! talking to you is like talking to a wall...... khalsa aid do all kind of seva they are doing lot more for sikhi and humanity than half of us that are sitting on our asses writing here...complaining and whining.... so if you cant help them with the seva... then alteast dont keep others from doing it....
  17. What the hell is your problem why are you always bashing khalsa aid that is actually trying to do some good in punjab.. i am not for darshan lal or missionary college.... but if they are doing something good for the panth, doing something no one else is willing to do..... like helping the kids that might not get that education they are getting..... keeping people from convert to christanity........ then why criticize them for it....... there is really nothing to expose........if you dont like the seva they are doing then get up and do it yourself. THIS FORUM IS HELP SIKHI NOT BRING SIKHI CAUSES DOWN

  19. i agree with gunman veerji. i didnt know how to reply to operation blacktunder post as i dont know much about history so thanks for replying intelligently veerji... OP, i agree that you just need to give yourself time to get a little mature... its obvious from your posts that you are still pretty childish. i used to be like you where i used to say i will go to punjab and fight... but then i realized that one cant really tell what they will be able to do... circumstances make you fight and you only fight bravely with gurujis kirpa... you can only give up everything you have if you have that kirpa we may think we can do anything for sikhi but its because none of us know what it is like to be in the situation lot of kharkoos were in... you could get shooting training from anywhere dont need to be in military and you could get other martial art training too... concentrate on your education today we need sikh lawyers and journalists to make sure justice is served so if you wish to work towards sikh cause.. do something like that for panth.. there are so many families of shaheeds that are stuggling to this day try to help them somehow rather than wasting your time in military.. if you really want to go in army then go on but dont act like its all for sikh panth because trust me there is a lot sikh panth needs today from young generation and joining military is definitely not on the top. watch this
  20. veerji like lot of other people said it looks like youve already made up your mind. it wasnt just the military training that was the factor... in 84 so many singhs were able to resist in harimandir sahib for 5 days tht general in his dairy wrote that if we had them fighting for us against pakistan we would take over it in a day.... operation black thunder and other sufferings happened because they already had control over punjab so much that they could cut electricity and food supply everything put curfew isloate everything....to accomplish their mission... although all that bloodshed happened it wasnt because of "lack of military training" but because they had too many advantages over us. there were other factors to consider... they tortured innocent people to kill the movement. they raped wives of kharkoos to bring them down.. break them so they cant fight anymore... but singhs still resisted singhs almost had control over punjab in the late 80s... all that happened because they fought bravely despite all that bloodshed that happened they didnt give in.. like someone said if you want to join army go on good luck if that is your passion but... you shouldnt be preaching that to others.. people are forced into supporting military and war... just because they live in the country they have to support it and cant really have free will... or their opinion a lot of guys that go into military dont go because they want to serve the country and die for their country......they go their for their own better future.. so they get education and to be financially stable. when we say war is unjust we are made to look like we are against those guys fighting and dying for the countrymen. Military serves the likes of dirty politics not the countrymen!! and the countrymen and forced into supporting dirty politics too ... there are many other reasons for why i wouldn't be for serving in the military or suggest it to anyone... but if you've made up ur mind then go ahead.. good luck
  21. veerji khalsa is only supposed to fight in defense if you are in american army its good cos you are representing a sikh in a country where they dont know much about us but then at the same time are you fighting in defense??? i am an american citizen myself and i know for fact that american cause isnt really just and doesnt fight in defense... like someone said you can learn art of fighting without joining the military go to school instead and learn martial arts as ur going to school or major in physical therapy so you are doing seva and are also physically fit.. i dont really consider fighting in military being saintsoldier saint soldier is fighting in defense of your religion kharkoo singhs in the 80s and 90s didnt have military training they trained themselves after and were much more powerful then indian fouj you need a powerful heart bani and bana to be a saintsoldier NOT joining amry that kills innocents
  22. yh i agree on this although i am jatt i dont take pride in it although i admit that i havent taken any steps towards moving away from it... me and my friends talked about this.. i think the problem is that culture of jatts and khatris is different so a lot of people look for someone more like them and end up sorta believing in caste...
