  1. From the looks of it, I don't know if there were any Sikh deaths yesterday. The three deaths involve one RSS volunteer , one Muslim shopkeeper and an unknown. Here are the details. Three dead in communal clashes in Saharanpur, Centre rushes 600 paramilitary forces Saharanpur/Lucknow: Around 600 para military force personnel were rushed by the Central government after three persons were killed and 19 others, including policemen, were injured as violent clashes broke out between two communities over a land dispute in Saharanpur on Saturday. Following the incident mobs indulged in arson, after which curfew was clamped and shoot-at-sight ordered. "Three persons, including traders leader Harish Kochar, Arif and an unidentified person were killed in clashes between the two communities," Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Mukul Goel told. Five policemen, city magistrate, and 13 others were injured. A constable Shensar Pal was stated to be in a serious condition in Chandigarh PGI after suffering a bullet injury. District Magistrate Sandhya Tiwari and SSP Rajesh Kumar Pandey told the media in Saharanpur this evening that shoot-at-sight order has been issued. The decision to sent the para military forces was taken after Home Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, official sources said. Singh had asked Yadav to ensure communal harmony in the state in the wake of violence in Saharanpur and offered all help to contain the situation. The Home Minister, who is personally monitoring the situation in Uttar Pradesh, had telephoned Yadav and expressed his concern over the violent clashes that broke out between two communities in the Western UP town. He had also conveyed to the Chief Minister that the Central government would provide all assistance, including paramilitary forces, to the state government to maintain law and order. Police fired rubber bullets to control the situation as mobs went on rampage setting several shops afire. Prohibitory orders under section 144 of CrPC have been invoked in the district and curfew has been clamped in six areas, Commissioner, Saharanpur, Tanveer Zafar Ali said. Senior administrative and police officials were rushed to the spot to pacify the rival groups. DIG STF Deepak Ratan and Bhuvnesh Kumar, who was Commissioner of Saharanpur earlier, have been rushed from Lucknow by helicopter to control the situation, sources said. Besides, 18 companies of additional force including eight of PAC, six of CRPF ,two of RAF and two of ITBP have been deployed in the troubled areas, sources said. "As per the information received so far, there was a dispute over land between two communities which escalated this morning," Goel said. Trouble began when members of one community started construction work at the site in Kutubsher area in the wee hours this morning, which was objected to by the other group. Both the sides indulged in heavy brick-batting, arson and opened fire and there were reports of several shops being gutted in the clash, police said. Even as curfew has been clamped, sporadic incidents of clashes were reported. The ADG said senior officers were camping in the area. Saharanpur is nearly 170 km from national capital Delhi and 560 km from state capital Lucknow. http://zeenews.india.com/news/uttar-pradesh/three-dead-in-communal-clashes-in-saharanpur-centre-rushes-600-paramilitary-forces_950273.html We should form large defence teams ASAP.
  2. Bhen jee, that is a common myth that many seem to be believing in. These pedo gangs have and will target vulnerable girls in the Pakistani community as well. How do I know? One neighbour of mine had his daughter preyed upon and he was a Pakistani Muslim. Here is the detailed government report on the issue. This is the website http://www.childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/info/csegg1 You will see 3 reports on the righthand section. CLICK this one; 1- CSEGG Inquiry Interim Report - November 2012 The PDF will link to the full 138 report Here are some extracts. Pakistani girl Sahida. This is Sahida’s story ‘Sahida’, a 17-year-old British Pakistani young woman, made an allegation of sexual abuse against a family member. As a result she was threatened with a forced marriage. Sahida’s family claim they want to remove her from the country to curb her ‘wild behaviour’. Following these threats Sahida began spending time with older males, described by professionals as ‘Asian’, and was moved to multiple locations by them. Sahida is now pregnant as a result of the sexual exploitation she has experienced. Family members have physically assaulted Sahida as a punishment for the pregnancy. If you look at page 93 you will see the numbers of girls, by minority who have been abused by these gangs. Pay attention to the Indian and Pakistani numbers. The Pakistani numbers 17 and Indian 7.
  3. The documentary was excellent and I seriously can't believe the BBC actually produced and aired it. Bhai Mohan Singh is a hero and he came across intelligent, calm and collected and highly articulate and informative. It was touching to see him listening to the girls stories and giving them a shoulder to cry on. The abuse can be bought to a rapid halt. The first thing that many brothers on here have talked about is the parental role. Parents have to be aware all the time. Watch out for your flock! This is not a part-time job but a huge responsibility that WaheGuru has entrusted us with. Aside from the Paki pedo gangs our teenage girls and boys for that matter are exposed to a multitude of dangers. For example today I was introduced to a new girl who started at my work place. From her name and race I thought she was Sikh. After the briefest of conversations she revealed herself to be a staunch atheist having left Sikhi. She told me that her parents hardly taught her about the faith and she knew more about the "party side". I have started to talk about Sikhi to her and we shall see how it goes. Anyway getting back to the original topic, a brother mentioned social networking. I can't stress this enough but as brothers, cousins, uncles, fathers we need to know who our female folk are talking to. It's not hard to access internet data or to ring a few suspect numbers, without them knowing. This is not wrong and if you suspect something generally your hunch will be right. Just think what can happen if you don't act! As for the gangs, the operations that Bhai Mohan Singh has done i.e. photos, gathering data on these pedos, going to the police and social services is excellent and the way forward. It takes effort and time but when our people are at risk, anything is worth it. I would suggest something else but I don't want to fall foul of forum rules.
  4. They are trying to chop us down bit by bit. They know that mass assaults (84) will make matters worse so now they use economic warfare. This isn't the first I have heard of this with many of my own family being turned down jobs in other states for no reason. Now combine this with the opium and sharab that is flowing in Punjab and you have the tools to utterly destroy our community. I have said it before and I'll say it again we face extinction in India and we are headed towards it fast.
  5. The EU wil do nothing....They are falling over themselves to kiss the bund of the Indian establishment. Sikhs will forever be seen as expendable.
  6. To be honest he should have never been on here anyway. This is a forum for Sikhs. With any website it is case of enter at your own risk and if you get offended you shouldn't go on the net. But it has to be said that anyone would have lost his temper had they had the same stuff directed at them i.e. their faith dissected/under the spotlight etc. You only need to look at the bakwas Christian missionaries use to convert Sikhs and Islamic zealots who use it to bash our faith. Very few folk can maintain a manner befitting debate.
  7. I've said it from the start. These disgusting cults that aim to dilute Sikhi are the biggest threat to our community. These people are everywhere and what's most worrying is that they have firmly entrenched themselves in Western countries, where the Sikh expatriate community has been strong i.e. free from Indian influence. We need to start educating our community against such people and the masses.
  8. I prefer the old school guys like Alaap, Apna Sangeet, Heera, Safri brothers and Malkit Singh. No controversy, great songs and the memories of the 80's aaaaaah. I used to love those school weddings with a single balloon attached to each chair and the terrible dancing.
  9. I have no issue with them marrying each other but we have to look to the future. Homosexual lifestyles and relationship choices are now being presented to our children, in schools as acceptable and on equal terms as the sacred tradition of marriage between man and wife. This whole "acceptance" thing is fine but it does open up a can of worms. How long is going to be before we have "Sikh" same sex couples turning up to the Gurdwara and demanding to be married? Why are people not looking at the fact such relationships are not beneficial to a person i.e. the rate of HIV infection for gay men is many times than that of heterosexuals and in fact such same sex infections account for half of new cases, even though they are a minority. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-20526380 Now I may be sidetracking a little but I feel this is worth a mention. The fact is their relationship choice has taken them out of the biological process of producing children but yet they are allowed to arrange "business deals" to have kids i.e. a mother is paid to carry the foetus of a couple. They can also adopt and have IVF treatment. How healthy do you think it is for a child to be raised with two dads or two mums? Isn't this a mocking of the natural order WaheGuru has given us? Living in London it is more and more common to see such couples displaying their affections in the street, how do you explain this interaction to your children, nieces and nephews and grandchildren. For the record I am totally against any discrimination against gay people and I do agree with their right to marry/be in a civil partnership etc. Many gay people I have met are very nice, warm and friendly and make great colleagues, work mates etc. Also NO WAY can homosexuality be compared to more vile acts such as robbery, rape and murder. This is after all consent between two adults and their personal business. But I don't believe Sikhs should embrace or jump behind the cause, especially in light of the things I have mentioned.
  10. Well done to the Sangat there! Chandigarh: In the hour of extreme crisis in the flood-ravaged Uttarakhand, volunteers in Chandigarh have begun a massive exercise to collect food items and other relief materials for the flood victims and local survivors, who are stranded in big numbers in many areas of the hill state. Several welfare associations today held donation camps across the city to motivate people to come forward and donate food items like biscuits, warm cloths and other relief materials, which will soon be despatched to the flood-hit areas. Bachan Singh, president of the Chandigarh Kumaon Sabha, said their camp at the Sector 32 main market got a tremendous response. Several people came forward to donate different items for the flood victims. While this camp would remain open for the next one week, two other camps would begin tomorrow in the markets of Sector 37 and 45. “Two of our trucks will be despatched after Monday and will hand over the relief material to the Army in Srinagar (in Uttarakhand), the area which has witnessed a massive destruction,” he said The Shiv Parwati Seva Dal, which held a camp at the Satsang Bhavan in Sector 26, has collaborated with the ITBP in Dehradun and despatched relief materials, including medicines, packaged water and food to Uttarakhand. President of the body Rajinder Singh Samant said our camp would remain open till the time they get donations from the local people. “The situation in Uttarakhand is grim. We are just trying our bit to help the survivors there,” he said. Already running their camps at several places in Chandigarh and Panchkula, the city-based Garhwal Sabha yesterday despatched 5,000 packets of food to Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand and another 10,000 packets are ready to be dispatched tomorrow morning. These will be handed over to the Army. A member of the Garhwal Sabha, BS Bisht, said people were really coming forward in this hour of crisis and donating blankets, medicines and even cash at their camps being held at the Gharwal Bhawan in Sector 29 and several other places. “We will continue our camps till the end of this month and try to mobilise maximum help for the survivors,” he said The Resident Welfare Association of Sector 10, Panchkula, will hold a day-long camp tomorrow in the Sector 10 market. These associations have requested the community at large to come forward for the flood victims’ assistance. http://sikhsangat.org/2013/help-pours-in-for-victims/
  11. The area is one of the most conservative on the planet and it is not surprising. Remember the TuttiBum (Taliban) are a very real threat. Change will take place slowly in the tribal areas. On a side note it is a well established fact that single sex schools outperform mixed schools consistently. Girls schools do even better.
  12. WaheGuru! Uttrakhand, India: According to recent reports about 3,000 Sikh pilgrims who were stuck for the past many days at Hemkunt Sahib have been successfully evacuated. These pilgrims were stuck there after the Uttrakhand state of India witnessed heavy rainfall, foods and land-slides. According to vice-chairman of Shri Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust (SHSMT) N.S. Bindra nearly 600 persons were air-lifted this morning. While the remaining nearly 2,300 pilgrims were evacuated by road after jawans of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) constructed a temporary bridge across the river. He said, “All the pilgrims at Hemkunt Sahib have been brought down to Gobind Dham in Gagria village from where they would be sent to Joshimath”. “Except for a few drivers and staff members, the entire Hemkunt Sahib complex had been evacuated”, Bindra added. http://sikhsangat.org/2013/3000-sikh-devotees-safely-evacuated-from-hemkunt-sahib/
  13. Absolutely Paa jee. Our problems need to be tackled and we have so many, and on such a scale that our tiny community is really under threat. I have addressed these in my previous posts and don't just come on to bash the Muslims 24/7 or any other community.
  14. Bro this guy is a serial offender and if you read the article it has another girl on there who said he did the same thing with her. Imagine the ones they didn't find out about. Although the Paki pedo cases are worse, but this guy seems to be given the thumbs up when he has done this over and over again and now settled with one he wants to marry. Oh speaking about marriage he is already married.
  15. Brothers, I have been following the case of this teacher and the young girl he seduced, and have been shocked with the comments that have come from many main stream British folks (goreh). At my work place people have talked about him being demonised, that people should leave the happy couple alone and behold the very same thing is being said by the mass public. Have a look at the Daily Mail article. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2345665/Jeremy-Forrest-jailed-FIVE-AND-A-HALF-YEARS-guilty-abducting-pupil-15.html# These are the top rate comments in the article. By the way he started the affair with the girl when she was 14. I think 'pervert teacher' is a bit harsh to be honest. She's hardly a little girl that he groomed. And how he can be found guilty of abduction when she begged him to take her to France I really don't know (10598 likes) He's hardly a pervert now is he?? I hope they live happily ever after! Good luck to them(7273 likes) In context, hardly a "pervert". As half of females in UK lose their virgnity before 16, then you could say perhaps we are a nation of perverts.(7225 likes) Although he did wrong and abused his position of trust, I do feel a bit sorry for him as the girl clearly was a willing participant. Shame they couldn't have waited a few months and avoided all this trouble.(6511 likes) He is not a pervert!! There are many, many perverted things going on in Britain's "progressive" politically correct society these days, but a man going out with a girl of nearly 16 years of age is NOT one of them.(3123) I'm rooting for them.(2933 likes) In light of the recent Paki pedo gang cases, I find their responses very strange.
  16. Did anyone actually think anything but talking to the Taliban was going to work? There should have be no doubt about the outcome. But to be honest I don't see the Taliban returning to their ways with the vigour they did previously. They will only hold power in a coalition and the people are sick and tired of the violence. I just hope there is peace.
  17. Good news. Will other Sikh heritage sites be given similar status? Anyway, a truly beautiful place. The video starts from 2.15 properly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRyRn97taDM
  18. I don't care what anyone has to say. If you intend to attack a dastaar your Sikhi is nullified. No true Sikh would ever contemplate anything like that. As for the picture the guy could have been Hindu Punjabi as they are now the majority in many parts of Punjab. Regardless of what he is, he should have been beaten to a pulp for the additional reason of putting an infant at risk.
  19. I remember going to the shops when I was young, and asking the shopkeeper how much is this and how much is that. I would then proceed to put each packet of crisps, bar of chocolate etc in my pockets and walk out. Now I did have money but my understanding of shopping was that you ask the shopkeeper and then take the goods, paying never occurred to me. Of course when I came home and my beloved grandfather saw how much I had in my hands he would usually say "hoi pagal de puthar, onu pessai daytay se?". My grandfather would then march me back to the shops and apologise to the shopkeeper and pay. The shopkeepers would always say how cute I was lol.
  20. How is it a good thing that man from a party that thinks Sikhi is not a separate faith but an offshoot of Hinduism, becoming prime-minister a good thing? We already face a massive demographic decline as a community and the fact that we are no being recognised a unique entity in its own right is a disaster for us. Now add all the impostors, groups and "holy men" who are out to dilute Sikhi the problem becomes far greater. I hate the congress party with a passion and they by far have done the most damage to us but these BJP villains are not that far removed from their congress counterparts. It's high time Sikhs realise we can rely on NO ONE but ourselves. That also means we start to push for greater autonomy in India with help from our expat communities in the US, UK, Canada etc. As for the riots, the vast majority of the operations conducted against innocent Sikhs were done so by sell out so called "Sikhs" themselves and the leaders and rioters were middle class Hindus from areas such as mangolpuri, supporting the Congress party. Here are the scoundrels: Saijan Kumar , Lalit Maken , Shyam Tyagi, L Bhagat, Boop Tyagi, Balwan khokar, Lal Sharma, P.K. Tripathi, Arjan Dass, Mahender Yadav, Kishan Khokkar, Girdhari Lal ,Captain Bhagmal and Jagdish Tytler.
  21. Names of the six dirty pedophiles. Aabidali Mubarak Ali (39), of Guthlaxton Street, Highfields, Leicester Rakib Iacub (20), of Maynard Road, Highfields, Leicester, Hamza Imtiazali (27), of Kashmir Road, Belgrave, Leicester, Bharat Modhwadia (25), of Wycombe Road, Humberstone, Leicester, Wajid Usman (22), of no fixed abode, Chandresh Mistry (37), of Berridge Lane, Belgrave, Leicester http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/Child-exploitation-case-ndash-court/story-18100272-detail/story.html#axzz2VjHrMcA1 By the way, these two guys are they Hindus? Chandresh Mistry Bharat Modhwadia Their names certainly suggest so. If so they were in cahoots with these others. Also Mohan Singh Jindabad!!!!!! This case needs all our support. I think there are six brothers facing charges of disorder.
