I know it's very different to the 5 goats version. However (next bit is directed at everybody not you veerji), look how many things are sewn on now, fingers, hands, faces, hearts etc etc. Guru Ji was ahead of his time. And like I say, if millions and millions of Christians, the biggest religion in the world, can believe that Jesus rose from the dead (by buying Easter Eggs to represent Jesus coming back to life after he had died). Then why couldn't have Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaaj brought the 5 Singhs back to life? (what is the difference?) Speak to any Christian, they'll say it with unflinching faith that Jesus rose again after he had died.

Fair point Sherdil, I heard that version too... I was told the 5 goat version when I was a 'kid' too (on punn intended). I have also read that version in a few books. However, somebody posed a question, which I thought was briiliant... who was in the tent other than Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaaj and the panj pyare? I believe the answer is that only Guru Ji and the 5 Singhs went into the tent. There's also the eye witness account from the spy of the enemy of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaaj. Aurangeb, the enemy of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaaj sent his own spy called Abu-ul-traifi. He reported his eye witness account which is still preserved today saying he saw all heads removed and attached again bringing back all 5 Singhs back to life - they were reborn! One last question... if all the Christians can celebrate Jesus rising from the dead, why is it not possible for Guru Ji to do the same? Unless, all Christians are wrong eating easter eggs to celebrate life to represent Jesus coming back to life, from the dead! In my opinion they (both events) either happened, or both did not! Personally, I think us mere mortals cannot appreciate all what our 10 Gurus could do, unless we become true Gursikhs at which point the truth will be revealed to us. The none Goat version of the Sakhi/ event of Vaisakhi below. THE LAST REPORT: Eye witness account of Vaisakhi 1699 by Enemy spy! There were many in Guroo Gobind Singh Ji’s camp whose intentions altogether were not loyal, the all knowing Guroo knew this. One of these spies of emperor Aurangzeb was called Abu-ul-traifi. He is mentioned by the eminent scholar Bhai Vir Singh in his writings. Being a spy he kept a daily journal of the events that took place for the emperor. Below is the translation for the accounts of vaisakhi day: “On the day Guroo Gobind Singh Ji prepared Amrit in Anandpur, the attendance in the diwan was about 50 to 70 thousand. The Mughals had four thrones (seats of imperial power), Delhi, Agra, Lahore and Kalanur. But the grandeur of Guroo Ji’s throne was in a class by itself. The grandeur of this throne was out of this world. Guroo Ji came to the diwan and, unsheathing his sword, spoke in a thundering voice that he needed a head. No questions or hesitation at all, Bhai Daya Ram came forward to Guroo Ji. Guroo Ji right in front of all cut of his head from his body in one stroke. Every body present was stunned. Then Guroo Ji again thundered and demanded one more head. Right on Guru’s call, Dharam Chand got up, came to Guroo Ji, bowed his head and said here is my offering of my head. Guroo Ji again, in one stroke cut off Bhai Dharam chands head from his body. Now there was a big commotion in the diwan. But Guroo Ji in his thundering voice went on demanding heads, one after another. Himmat Rai, Mohkam Chand and Sahib Ram got up and offered their heads. Guroo Ji cut off the heads of these three also. Many from the congregation went to Guroo Ji’s mother and narrated the whole happening in the diwan to Mata Ji. Guroo Ji cleaned up the blood from the five bodies and heads, and even washed the floor, then the Guroo of these infidels stitched one head with another body, one by one, this process took about three hours. Then he covered these dead bodies with white sheets. The Guroo of these infidels then took a cauldron made from stone and put an iron wok (bowl) without handles on top of it. He then poured water into the wok and started preparing “Amrit” (aab-e-hyat- elixir of life). The infidel Guroo kept churning the water with his double- edged sword and kept on reciting his kalma (Gurbani). This process went on for 1.5 to 2 hours. During this time a lady came from Guroo’s house and put something in that water. Now the Amrit was ready. From the corpses he took the covering sheets off. First he sat on the head side of Daya Ram and poured Amrit into his mouth, then poured some into his head and then sprinkled some in his eyes, and then he asked the dead body to say waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh. As if on his Guroo’s command, Daya Ram got up and repeated in his bold voice, Waheguroo ji ka khalsa, waheguroo ji ki fateh. It appeared that in the entire congregation everybody was so stunned that it seemed like no one was breathing. There was pin-drop silence. All the present were mesmerised with their Guroo’s miracle. In the same manner one after another the Guroo made the other four alive too. Then he took all five of them into a tent. After a while Guroo Ji along with the five came out. The five were now wearing new attire (uniform, bana); those five risen from the dead were standing in a line. Then their Guroo came in front of them and took bir rasan (posture of the brave-kneeling on one knee) and asked for Amrit. At this point, the five asked what are you offering to get this Amrit. The Guroo said that “I will sacrifice my whole family for the sake of the panth” then these five gave Amrit to Guroo Ji, and his name was changed to “Gobind Singh” (from Gobind Rai). The word Singh was attached with the other fives too, -Daya Singh, Dharam Singh, Himmat Singh, Mohkam Singh and Sahib Singh. (I was very remorseful and cried like a baby) After that, thousands took Amrit. Even, I was attracted like a magnetic force and with no regret fell on Guroo’s feet. I requested to the Guroo to give me Amrit too. Guroo Ji already knew about my role as a spy and traitor, put his hand on my back, gave me Amrit and changed my name to Ajmer Singh. Just with this act, my sins of numerous lives got washed away. You've summed it up perfectly! A few of the more savvy Sikhs like yourself on this forum have suggested the same solution as yourself. Very good actions points! Hopefully we'll follow them!

Come on Sherdil, lets not keep on thinking that only the Sikhs have the ability and morality to distinguish between right and wrong! I'm sure even the 'white west' can work out that you should not stand by and let thousands and thousands of innocent people die. You should try and save their lives like Balwant Singh Rajoana and Delawar Singh did. Beant Singh was just a killer of innocent poeple, like other murderers like Fred West, or Yorkshire ripper/Peter Sutcliffe and many others. All the White Westners are just as clever and morally correct as us SIkhs to understand that Beant Singh had to be stopped. If we keep telling the 'white west' that they do not understand us or they have not got a basic moral compass, they will take offence, start to believe us, and ignore the killings of Sikhs in india. British poeple are not stupid, the ones who have looked into it know that the indian government have been killing innocent Sikhs in india for years! We should discuss the truth openly on open forums as otherwise we would be guilty of keeping the truth from the rest of the world. I am not having a go at you. Maybe it is better that we do withold the truth and facts from the west. Government of India Agents bribing the media in Canada (and the 2 Sikh men who the India Government agents tried to get blamed for the bombing being found NOT guilty) really shows you what sort of tatics and actions the Indian Government are prepared to carry out! However, if you and I had the courage to kill someone who had lead on the killing of thousands and thousands of innocent Sikh Men, and rape of innocent Sikh Women, and wiping out of whole sikh families in rural Punjab, and burning down their houses etc etc (I know we don't need to go into this as it has been proven without any doubt that Beant Singh lead on all the dirty deeds I just mentioned...) So getting back to my question, if you only had 2 choices, which were to either: kill Beant Singh with the soilders that surrounded him, as he was never on his own or 2. Let tens of thousands of more innocent young Sikh Men die, and their families be wipped out or destroyed Which one would you pick 1 or 2? This question is not just to you, it's to all of us really. We know the killings would have continued if Beant Singh stayed alive - so what else was there to be done? Bhai Balwant Singh Ji Rajoana and Shaheed Bahi Delawar Singh Ji knew they had the courage, and ability, to stop Beant Singh from killing even more innocents. Their conscience would not let them let more innocent people die, whereas ours would, due to our lack of courage and inability to actually do it.

If every Sikh thought and acted like this today ie signed the Petition today! Then this could be discussed in Parliament tomorrow! Like the Singh says above, we say we want other governments to discuss the injustices taking place against Sikhs, however we are not even prepared to sign a petition to make it happen. Why is that? We have got to tell people that it doesn't matter that loads of written petitions have been going around (most of them probably haven't even been sent anywhere. What counts is this one single e-petition! Like the Singh says above, it's unbelievable that we are not signing this e-petition!

Harjot Oberoi, a Hindu who has infiltrated Sikh Societies and organisation in Canada from a long while ago is one of the main reasons for this misunderstanding in Canada. Ask any Sikh member (and I say Sikh member) on this forum. They will tell you all the damage Harjot Oberoi has been doing to the Sikh religion, Sikh history, and subsequently its opinion by the rest of the world, and especially Canada. He has always had other people dressed up as Sikhs helping him in Canada all along. The damage this man has done to Sikhi is immense and some may say even irreversible. After he went to Jawaharlal Nehru University (Indra Gandhi's Dad's University) in Delhi in 1976 he has never looked back in his war against the Sikhs through infiltration in Canada! Just type in Harjot Oberoi and anti-Sikh in google and see how many articles you get. There are other clowns like Oberoi in Canada, but Oberoi is the biggest Circus Act of all !

This is so true (Satbuchan)! It has been proven that Police Stations were given significant budget increases for every Sikh they killed! To make matters worse the central government only loaned the budget increase, for killing a Sikh! So it was away of making 'Punjab' kill it's own innocent citizens, with the use of human rights violators like KPS Gill, Beant, and Sharma, and then getting the Punjab to pay for the reward given to the murdering policeman/police station who killed the innocent Sikh under the command of KPS Gill, Beant and O P Sharma. Not only would Punjab have to pay for the Murder of the innocent Sikh, it would have to pay for the contract killing money and reward, and interest on the financial reward given to the murdering policeman (human rights violators)! This budgeting with interest is still being paid for today! All activities for killing innocent Sikhs were financed by charging the Punjab (remaining SIkhs in Punjab) with high interest loans. Punjab's economy and deficit has never recovered from the loan it had to pick up for 1984 and it's aftermath i.e. the central government's mission to kill innocent Sikhs!! Save them on your PC, Tab or phone and read and watch whenever you have time. Circulate it to all your relatives and friends. If only every Sikh read the PDF book in this thread and listened to Jaswant Singh Khalra's Speech we would all know the Truth. You cannot claim to know the truth unless you know the facts, because truth is fact, and fact is truth. We only need another 91310 e-signatures. 8,690 siksh have signed this e-petition so far, it probably includes the same 8,609 who have signed Direct Debits for the Sikh Channel. It's always the same 'cream of the crop' that supports everything, the rest of us just talk about it! I wonder why Sikhs aren't signing this petition? Or, how we can make them sign this petition?

Can we claim that the Kaum has woke up if this petition does not reach 100,000? It's not exactly a sacrifice to sign a petition in the comfort of our own homes. We need more Sikhs like this who start to think strategically and actually do something. It's nice to see Sikhs are prepared to change their minds, for the betterment of the Panth! Let's all review our thinking, which has not got us anywhere in the past 27 years, and start moving forward, as directed by Balwant Singh Ji Rajoana !

If we did what you said and paid our £1 a week Sikh Channel would not need to have adverts on its channel. Like you say, it's just an excuse. We are just not paying because, may be, we just want the Indian Govt, RSS and Shiv Sena to kill more Sikhs without anyone, any media, to question them. May be our 'inaction' makes us an enemy of the true Sikhs who are targeted by the GOI, RSS and Shiv Sena. We should support our Sikh Media!!

Sikh Channel or Sangat TV may not stay on air! They have to fight the false legal battles the indian govt will inevitably put to them both. However, that will cost money, and because Sikhs are not prepared to pay a £1 a week to they will close! Our Direct Debit money will be needed to fight false legal claims and pressures from the indian government/Shiv Sena/RSS/Chota Sauda/the Gadars amongst us, and all the other Sikhi haters, as well as run the Channels themselves. However, because most Sikhs will not help Sikh Channel or Sangat TV, they will go down - maybe we Sikhs actually want Sikh Channel and Sangat TV to go down, because we don't actually want the Sikhs to have a voice?? (who knows?). Sikh Channel and Sangat TV can bearly pay the running costs, never mind the legal fights that will be coming over the approaching days and weeks - so how can they survive. eg the Sikh Channel and Sangat TV will need money to represent it's arrested reporters. Where will they get their money from for that, when they do not even have the running costs. Can anybody answer why the majortiy of the hundreds of thousands of Sikhs in Britain are not supporting the Sikh Channel and Sangat TV financially at all? Why is it most Sikh are spending money on many other leisure products but not the Sikh Channel or Sangat TV? Why won't we help them?
