  1. An account from the other side considering many of the posts and videos were potentially biased to one side (at no point was there a mention of the intimidation and threatening behaviour by some - until now it was reported that all the Sangat protesting were peaceful): http://www.sgsss.org/sgsss-executive-committee-statement/ And this also answer's some of the above poster's entry - unlikely they are anti paintings/pictures considering they are unveiling a new exhibition 'The First Khalsa Raj' in a couple of weeks!
  2. It is a shame Khalsa Aid has misinformed members by making a posting without establishing facts. Most worrying is the accusation that Mr Sohi sued the Gurdwara for £500,000. This is totally incorrect. The case of wrongful expulsion was against the 21 committee members and NOT the Gurdwara. And it was only after several failed attempts to resolve the matter outside the courts. It was the Sher Group committee that deemed it appropriate to use the sangat's money and not pay the fees themselves – why has this not been asked of the outgoing committee. Whilst I agree that progress has been made on sports and martial arts clubs I cannot recall inspiring seminars and talks on drug abuse, human rights abuses etc (although I am not saying that there were none). Which affiliations/loyalties do you refer to which would prevent such topics being discussed? It is also mentioned that the Sher Group has saved millions – once again the facts show that income was down compared to the final year of the previous committee once the £5million grant for the school was subtracted from the figures. I appeal to everyone to please make conclusions based on fact and not rely on here-say. Unfortunately Khalsa Aid has not done this and provided a very biased posting.
  3. http://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/cat-audio/resource.latest.bbsccms-assets-cat-audio-solutions-pcmm10.shtml I have one of these and it is fantastic. Can record up to quality of 96kHz 24 bit (much better than CD quality which is 44.1kHz 16 bit). It has a mic input should you require it but the built in one is fantastic. 4Gb memory and can add memory cards as well. Also records straight to mp3 and will record up to 26hrs on the built in memory with 320kbps. Rather handy remote with long lead as well so you can place the device close to the sound source and control from where you are sitting. I have used several dictaphones before which I used minidisc - this trumps them all.
