    Veer Ji

I am very sorry that this has happened to you, the next step to getting you life back on track and finding your path is to

1 - Go to your Gurudwara (this may not be your local, but anywhere you are comfortable)

2 - Do Ardass in front of Maharajah, this can be as long as you want. I have once stood and cryed in front of Maharajah!

3 - Take a huknama from Maharajah and understand it, if you don't get the gani or some one you trust that knows how to explain the hukam for you.

Only Maharajah can give you the guidance you are looking for....only Waheguru has answers you need.

    Good luck veer ji.

Also we may get eaten by some kind of huge gorilla type dinosaur.

sangat jeeo dhass needs ideas of topics which should be taught to children aged 6-15.

    bear in mind:

the class which these will be taught in is only approximately 50-60minutes a week...

we have approximately 50-52 classes a year(approximately 1 class per week), so we need 50-52 topics so that the children don't get bored and don't stop attending ..

the class isn't jathabanthi based so its generall...

so sangat jee a small request is please put your topic ideas forward with resources if possible...

otherwise just topics would be great...but make sure the topic is:

    suitable for kids...

    and more importantly SIKHI based!!!!!!!

    thank you for your time...

Get a projector and you can put up a projection and teach them about the Gurus, Martyrs etc. One thing the kids do like is splitting them in two groups of two and doing a pop quiz...You act as the host and ask the questions, Group one have to shout Waheguru as there buzzer and Group to Satnam. The kids always loved this, and it is a way of making them remember what they learnt the when before.

There are websites out there that have presentations prewritten,

    www.telkhalsa.co.uk has some

    Sikhroots.com aswell

This give the kids something to look at instead of just watching someone speak at them; try to make them laugh aswell as this will keep them awake and alert.

    Hope this helps!

  6. Does anybody know much about aikdio and whether its a good martial art to take up ? or maybe suggest some?

Akidio is a very good martial art; it teaches the opponent how to use the attackers body weight against them. It teaches how to use your body weight to cripple an attacker to submission. It is not like karate or kung fu where you can attack first. There are arm locks and wrist locks that will shatter bone and break legs that are truly awesome.

But with Gatka, you learn how to use left and right side of your body in unison, and this is attribute that I have only found in gatka.

  7. Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh says Sikh separatists based outside India are trying to revive militancy in the state of Punjab.

Mr Singh says there is "credible information" to show that the remnants of separatist groups in Canada, the UK, Germany and Pakistan are regrouping.

He said they were doing so with the help of other "hostile forces".

Indian security forces battled a bloody uprising by Sikh secessionists in Punjab in the 1980s.

Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated in 1984 by her Sikh bodyguards in apparent retaliation for ordering an army attack on the Golden Temple, Sikhism's holiest shrine.

    'Extremist elements'

Mr Singh, a Sikh himself, expressed concern over "die-hard separatists" in a letter to the head of Sikh temples, Avtar Singh Makkar.

"The government and our agencies have credible information of efforts being made by extremist groups to revive militancy in Punjab," his letter stated.

Punjab has reaped economic dividends from the recent peace

Referring to last year's bomb blasts in two cinema halls in Ludhiana, Punjab, Mr Singh said the two people who planned it were "induced" to carry out the attack on a visit to Pakistan with funding from "extremist elements in the US".

There is growing concern in India that former members of extremist groups are indeed regrouping, as Mr Singh fears.

Former members of one such group, Babbar Khalsa International, are said to be active in Punjab.

Violent protests which broke out last year in the state against the head of a sect, Dera Sachcha Sauda, were said to have been instigated by this group.

Indian intelligence agencies believe Babbar Khalsa has the backing of Pakistan's spy agency, the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) agency.

The ISI has long been accused by Delhi of supporting armed separatists in Indian-administered Kashmir and the country's north-east.

Echoing concern over developments in Punjab, National Security Adviser MK Narayan last year warned that there had been "a manifest attempt in Pakistan to build up a radical Sikh environment".

Mr Narayanan said there were "signs of resuscitation of militant groups in Canada, the US and Germany".

Punjab, called the granary of India, is economically one of the leading states.

The state has been largely peaceful since 1993.

  10. Waheguru Ji KA Khalsa , Waheguru Ji KE Fathe

Thank you for all your wisdom and advice. With Gurus Kirpa I missed the whole thing thanks to my baby boy (a true gift from waheguru). I did have a word with my mate and why he had done this to his son and he did not know, he was going with tradition and what he parents had told him to do.

I did not rejoice and to tell you the truth neither did the father, he had to watch his son cry while getting his hair cut for a reason most of them there did not understand.

This sent a very clear message to me and my family, do not follow like sheep’s and question everything if it does not have anything to do with waheguru then it cannot be right!

In the end we left the Mandir with out eating the langer because the person that was making it was eating it at the same time, when my dad saw this he started kicking off with the guy in charge and the guy that was eating and cooking. So if anyone does go to the Mandir (or any place) be careful on what is happening around you.

Again thank you for your advice and wisdom.

Thank you for the advice, if i go i will be going i will be in a damalla and maybe bana!

Not sure how people will react to that...the main issue I just don’t want people to class me as RSS or anything.

This has happened to one of mates, they were seen going into a Hindu temple then made to apologise for going. He went on invitation as well.

Thank you to all of you.

  12. Waheguru Ji KA Khalsa , Waheguru Ji KE Fathe

I need advice, my best friend is a Hindu (known him for 25 years), he comes to all functions at the Gurudwara and he respects sikhi. The problem is he kid is going to his munan (hair shaving ceremony) in a Hindu temple and he wants me to come. I am confused on what to do!

Is it ok for me to go there and watch and not do anything else? This is the first time he has asked me to go to a hindu temple and i have asked he loads of times to come to the gurudwara, and he came every time!

    Please give me your wisdom.

    Thank you
