    Repetitive Syndrome

This has been discussed plenty of times ji. I'm providing a few links for you. http://www.sikhsangat.com/Index.php?/topic/47588-topic-for-boys/ http://www.mrsikhnet.com/2007/03/12/sat-kriya-dealing-with-sexual-energy/ http://www.sikhsangat.com/Index.php?/topic/66931-shabads-for-kaam-rog

  4. Looks like you were able to figure out how to change your DP afterall
  5. ^ I didn't quite understand the above snippets. Perhaps I should read the entire book. eBook - Naam Simran by Bhai Veer Singh Jee http://www.scribd.co...i-Veer-Singh-Ji eBook - Seva Simran Jugtiya (techniques) by Bhai Veer Singh Jee http://www.gurmatvee...eechar.com).pdf eBook - Naam Simran by Bhai Randhir Singh Jee http://www.gurmatveechar.com/books/Punjabi_Books/Naam.Simran.(Punjabi).by.Bhai.Randhir.Singh.(GurmatVeechar.com).pdf
  6. ^ Bhaji, it seems you have missed the point of my post entirely. I didn't once imply that we need to see Krishan Jee, but rather, that as we progress in our Sikhi, we will see them sutey sidh (automatically) Payareo, I have opened a new thread where we can share various meditation techniques.http://www.sikhsanga...ion-techniques/
  7. This thread is coming from the 'Krishna In Sikhisim' thread.
  8. Since I was kid, I used to think that Bhai Sahib were not well versed in Raags. After all, I had not heard a single shabad from them in Raag and a vadda taal (teen taal doesn't count ). To my surprise, many years ago, I came across a recording of them where they were singing a shabad in nirdharat raag and if my memory serves me correctly, it was being sung in chaar taal di savari. Bhai Sahib is certainly well versed in raag vidya. I have talked to a few raagi's personally and even the ones who have professinally learnt raags say that the reason they do not do kirtan in raags is because sangat does not want to listen to raag kirtan anymore. I'm not sure how true/valid that is but this is what I have been hearing.
  9. Looking back at the last few pages of this thread, the jist is that we do not know the answer to the question whether Krishan Ji is indeed in Sachkhand or not. Personally, I think this is a rather useless question which adds absolutely nothing to our Sikhi jeevani. What we (me included) should be doing is making efforts to increase our avastha and Guru kirpa naal when that happens, we will see Krishan Jee ourselves (just as other abhiyasi Gursikhs have) and then ask them. The other option would be to meet a pooran Bhramgyani and ask them. But we all know how rare it is to meet one. The third and final option is to ask Guru Sahib themselves and if they are kind to us, they will tell us. This thread is now 16 pages long and it does not seem a conclusion will be reached anytime soon. It would have been much much better if we had a thread this long which discussed things like, various vidhis of japping naam, or various obstacles one encounters while trying to do kamai, or some inspiring stories which would nudge us toward doing more bhagti. As Gurbani states, bwdu ibbwdu kwhU isau n kIjY ] Do not engage in any arguments or debates with anyone. rsnw rwm rswienu pIjY ]2] (Instead,) With your tongue, savor the Lord's sublime essence. ||2||
  10. I think it would be beneficial to everyone if someone (more knowledgeable than me on this dairy subject) would open a new thread and let us know what information is out there. Dhanwaad Personally, I have never had meat but used to have eggs when I was younger. I do drink home made yougurt 2-3 times / day however. Being vegan would also mean that one must give up cheese. Here in Canada, when you eat out, cheese is everywhere!
  11. ^ I think a good litmus test would be to see if your behaviour and thoughts are changing for the better as you recite Gurbani. If they are not, then the efforts are not being done as perscribed by Guru Sahib. As with a lot of things, it comes down to one's intention when starting and ends with kirpa Kaljugi bhaji, my comment was certainly not directed toward you. In fact, I hadn't even read your post before replying. The post I quoted sounded like missionary ideology which I am strongly against so I thought of replying to clarify. My apologies if I offended anyone.
  12. dasvandh = 10% of your earnings. A really good book on Bhagat Puran Singh Jee is 'Garland around my neck' The Book Club section on this forum lists many good books. http://www.sikhsanga...sikh-book-club/
  13. I can't fully agree with your statement. Without going into the Sikh philosophy side of things, it has now been proven by medical science that repitition is one of the way humans can break free of their current (bad) habits and activate more (higher conscience) areas of the brain. Of course, if you know the literal meanings of a shabad, then it's simply easier to concentrate on it. However, it is a completely false statement to say if one does not know the meanings then it's useless to recite bani. There is also science behind how our tounge moves when we speak. As tounge touches various parts of our mouth, it stimulates various areas of the brain. Gurbani also utilizes this knowledge so that an abilakhi can benefit even if they do not understand the meanings of a shabad. Applying Gurbani's teaching is an extremely daunting task, doing repetition of Gurbani, the application part is automatically realized with Guru Sahib's kirpa.

  21. Also skip the 'extra' protein until your the weight traning becomes a regular part of your routine. Even olympic level atheletes only consume 0.8g of protein per pound of body weight. Certainly then 1.5g per pound of body weight for a beginner trainee is too much.
  22. Master your own body weight first before you hit any weights.
