  1. This was a very clever move by looking at people who were at this ekta event in derby. I hope Baba Ram Singh doesnt regret meeting some of the political members. I am all for ekta and it should happen, do what you preach both organisations should be united within them selves, we clearly know that there are splits within DT and within AKJs This is not a panthic ekta as its just factions of each organisation trying to come together. Our respect goes to Damdami Taksal which was created by our 10 th master Dhan Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the pratan maryada still remains today whether its Baba Harnam Singh or Baba Ram Singh. You can call Baba Harnaam Singh sarkari but let me tell you something Baba Harnam Singh is the current Head of Damdami Taksal whether you like it or not. What Baba ji has achieved has been great for the Sikh panth a Shaheedi Yaadghar in remembrance of 1984. Which we have struggled in last 29 years. Its ok for you to say what you want because you got the freedom of speech here, if you want to talk lets do it in Punjab. Gur pyrio Action talks louder than words. Which many many organisations still need to prove. . The action and talk needs to be in Panjab not in uk, not on stages or tv channels
  2. JALANDHAR: Reacting to the attack on Lt Gen (retd) Kuldip Singh Brar and his subsequent reaction that it was an act of separatist Khalistani organizations, Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale’s nephew and former Akal Takht Jathedar Jasbir Singh Rode has said that let the first investigations details come out before jumping to any conclusions. Baba Harnam Singh, who now heads Damdami Taksal which was once headed by Bhindrawale, has also rubbished the suggestion that Blue Star memorial being raised in Darbar Sahib Complex was opening new wounds saying “wounds were already etched deep in Sikh psyche”. “These wounds can’t be healed by not raising a memorial but only if government of India apologizes for ordering attack on the holiest shrine of Sikhs and killing hundreds of innocents as well,” he argued. “Sikhs were angry against the attack, are angry and will always remain angry if government will not give any healing touch by apologizing,” h e argued adding “now even Congress leaders refrain from justifying the attack”. “Brar is projecting himself to be hero but what was the fault of hundreds of innocent unarmed Sikhs who were killed by Brar’s armymen without giving them any chance to come out of the Golden Temple and that too when army chose the martyrdom day of fifth Sikh master Guru Arjan Dev to launch the offensive. “Brar has indulged in self glorification with stereotyped reaction from him to blame followers of Sant Bhildrawale. The assailants have not yet been identified and Brar and his political sympathizers are out with conclusions,” Rode said while speaking to TOI. “In place of blaming others Brar should introspect. The army action was a blunder and time has proved that there was little justification for it. Brar should have sought pardon for his role as he not only led the attack but also executed it very badly and great damage was done to the innocents and the Darbar Sahib,” Rode said. “Several eye witness accounts had detailed the excesses of the army men under Brar,” he said. Rode said that even as Brar and a few others were naming some so called militant organizations but the attack appeared handiwork of some amateur people. “The anger is in the entire community and not just in a few people. You can’t divide it between soft liners or hard liners. Every Sikhs was pained by the army action ,” he said.
  3. UK: Sikhs are demanding the amendment of the Article 25 of the Indian Constitution as it currently states "reference to Hindus shall be construed as including a reference to persons professing the Sikh, Jaina or Buddhist religion, and the reference to Hindu religious institutions shall be construed accordingly" For some time now, the Sikh community have been demanding the change of this article and to be recognised as a separate practicing religion. The status of Sikhs being recognised as a separate religion has been supported by National Commission to Review the Working of the Constitution headed by the former Chief Justice of India, Justice M.N Venkatachaliah. International Panthic Dal (I.P.D) had launched a world-wide campaign in early 2012, which includes nationally in India, to build awareness in the community to support the change of the article. I.P.D, through its footprint in Punjab, will be working with various organisations, MP's and MLA's in gaining their support to the amendment. As an organisation we believe working through the system of democracy is a way of gaining results. Good, our brothers/sisters of Jainism and Buddhism should also get their unique identity recognition.

  11. Three assailants attack self-styled Godman Rupnagar (Punjab), Oct 27 (PTI) Self-styled Godman Baba Piara Singh Bhaniarawala was attacked today by three unidentified persons when he was giving a sermon at his Dera in native village Dhamana Kalan in the district. Three youths sitting in the audience attacked Bhaniarawala with sharp-edged plastic pipes, police said. He was rescued by his followers but not before he received minor injuries on his face and neck. Police have arrested the three accused. The accused managed to reach the Dera despite a three- tier security gear given to him. Baba Bhaniarewala was on the hit list as he has published a scripture on the lines of Guru Granth Sahib, the holy Sikh book. A case in this regard is pending in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

  14. A total shamble and a true illustration of our state of affairs and all aired live for our true enemy to see and have a laugh at our expense. The youth are making sense and the elders are well past their sell by date yet are stopping for the truth to succeed. Why beacuse their roti pani is coming to a end. Even if they try to put forward fresh young faces we all know they are still pulling the strings. I humbly beg the next generation grap hold of the reigns before the chariot goes of the rails totally. Kam made valid and structured points on what the next generation wants to see as it is our kids future that needs to be assured. Be regarding beadbi in Punjab or elsewhere around the world. What we saw was oldies denying support for the very Gursikhs on the ground supporting the cause - why? people you are waking up to the truth these so called jathibandi's have been playing us all for their own personal interests. The feds have collected lots of money destined for the Shaheed Parivars (where is it - they haven't got it?), they are the ones who put gangsters in our gurdwaras, hijacked the original fed from the original aspiration of the karkoos and the mahaan shaheedi's and instead paying lip service to light weight campaigns that gives them limelight with no real result. 27 years we still have kakar issues if we were successful then we would have robust policies in place to protect the kakars - but no - still campaigning! Setup the Sikh Council so a handful can infleunce the many orginally free institutes. Juice their funds and call on numbers to show the UK authorities that they are someone to be heard yet when they get to parliament can't speak a word of english! so typical. Let the truth be told: The BK (UK) are in with Sarna and on an Anti Dasam Granth trip along with other one man bands. Trust me the feds are supporting via the back door watch who they now align to as an indicator as many have left their ranks after untold broken and misleading promises and deliverables. The BK have great Singhs and have paid their dues for the movement but as in all there are those who are misleading the many. The enemy has split the DDT to weaken the strength and now we have the issue of Sant J's return - which if said by a Sant - will be true, so why argue the point live with and address the issues in hand. Someone has to run DDT in Sant ji's absence call him the caretaker or the Jathedar does it matter - get on with it! This click needs to be smashed if we are to get any where and this can be done with supporting those who are showing us the way Baba Baljit Singh, Amrik Singh Anjal and Jasvir Singh. These Singhs are working on a major game which will all come out in due course. The above outfits have no footprint in Punjab so cant influence yet they give the impression here they can and even go as far as putting down the youth - exstinguishing their burning desire for freedom. What was even more embrassing was our self proclaimed leaders fell into the 'me too' trap and delivered nil on a live broadcast, cant see tthe cameran or any other leader of the people in the west humiliating himself in that way. If that time and energy spent yesterday was spent on actually targetting the matter in hand then we may get somewhere. but if that was the case then the Panth would be free now! Take control of our institutes, our voice and our future Singhgo - the time is now! other wise it will be our kids facing the hardships - your call!
