  1. When you close your eyes, what do you see? When you talk to "God" what do you feel? When you "want" a reply, what do you expect? When you say "He" / "She", how did you derive this perception? These are not trick questions, neither i believe there are any correct answers. We all have different perceptions and of course - expectations, but why do we have expectations? Ask yourself as many questions as you want, you "may" be coming back to the same conclusion. Let me try and make a suggestion - if you have some spare time, take a walk on your own. Try and go somewhere peaceful and tranquil, nature esque, then see what thoughts come into your mind? Everybody / everything is created with Light. We need to discover this light and keep seeing this. With light, there is also darkness, you may see what i'm trying to get at here. My point being, why to we see "God" as a person? Why don't we see God in all forms? Everlasting and Omnipresent Waheguru
  2. What kind of attitude is this? Firstly, this is clearly not hilarious. Secondly, you have no right to call Women or anyone else such derogatory words. Thirdly. I'll admit to this looking chaotic, but to be honest, how do you actually know why the commotion occurred in the first place?
  3. Yet again, more Hatred and negativity. I have no time for you and your allegations. I'm not too proud of the town i was raised in, neither do i have excessive attachment with anything. I just feel the need to defend a cause when and where required. No amount of my answers to your allegations and assumptions will ever change your negative views. Talk to the Palm, because the face don't give a damn.
  4. You can call me whatever you want to, that's all you're capable of to be honest, just running your mouth off by the sounds of it. I actually hold my head in shame with the disgust and hatred you are coming out with. Where on earth have you heard all of this gossip from? These claims are unbelievable and I can tell you straight that I will not be here to pick at all of your wild claims and accusations. It makes me sad to think this is the perception of an outsider. God knows the truth and exactly what happens at Leamington and Warwick Gurdwara Sahib and i am nobody to defend every allegation that is fired its way. Utterly disappointed with your attitude and i would physically walk away from you if you were to say this to my face, as i believe you are full of negativity with your accusations. God Bless you Brother, i hope you achieve everything you want to in life, our paths may cross, but i will wont wish for it anytime soon. 5. Pakoraa84 - I suggest you keep those comments to yourself. You have zero evidence of the state of the youth from this town, so it's no good making wild assumptions such as these. Also, let me just state that there is ONE Gurdwara for two towns (Leamingotn Spa and Warwick). The reason for this is because we have Unity, we don't feel the need to build 4 or 5 Gurdware, because X does not like Y and Z does not talk to them either. You no doubt have differences in opinion, but that's a good thing to a certain extent. The majority of the towns Sangat are together and that's how it should be. I can understand you have your perception from outside, but i need to put your straight as a local member of the Sangat, this Gurdwara is not torn to pieces with bad politics and shenanigans as a lot of outsiders like to think. 6. Guys, I've been ON and OFF this Forum for years now. Posting and just viewing. As a Brother to you all and i accept you are ALL Brothers and Sisters to me... Please one Beathi...just cut down the Hatred and Cussing. It wouldn't go down well face to face, so lets not do this over the Net either. I'm no preacher, just want us all to have more respect for each other please. My head is bowed down to you all and i respect everyones own opinion. However, i think that the Original Poster is asking for some retaliation by asking these sorts of questions - especially by not expecting some negative response (as we can see). On another note. A completely different subject, but i feel its connected here briefly - we need to be prepared at ALL times. Be prepared to defend any innocent party from evil and wrong doings. I just observe with my eyes and try not to make any judgement on others, but i am seeing "Sikh" guys that are in need of more physical and mental strength. Its a monster of a topic, but i feel we need to be united stronger and allow all the Hatred for one another. Break the barriers between ourselves and lend a hand to one another. Anyways, i may start a new topic. My 2 pence is worth nothing, but i feel i have to say it, especially when i see us arguing and cussing each other. Unity is required and not division. 7. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPmYJaWdkgEOZrjDljXcpOQ Subscribe to this channel - all live links from PTC Great Sewa from this guy. He also provides Free local numbers for Sangat to call - these will have the live Gurbani streamed on the other end of the call. For example, truck drivers on the road may not have 3G connections, so all they have to do is call that Free number and they will be able to hear The Gurbani from Golden Temple, they can then even play it on loud speaker or Bluetooth through the vehicle etc.
  8. I can send you a link to a Sewadaar that knew / had this feeling about PTC too. He live streams PTC Gurbani with his own Logos over the top of PTCs, as he also feels PTC are trying to "own" the Gurbani broadcasted from Golden Temple.
  9. Sangat Ji I've just seen a piece on Sky News where the Sky presenter has confirmed that Sikh members of the community alongside Women's human rights (about a rape film being banned in India) will be protesting against the welcoming of Indian PM Narendra Modi. Hopefully there will be more live coverage of the protests later when Modi arrives. Does anybody know what's planned? Or is anybody here planning on going to Wembley later? http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/nov/13/narendra-modi-ban-film-rape-india-indian-prime-minister-wembley-indias-daughter Supposedly Modi has lifted a ban on 792 Pornographic websites, but he still keeps a ban on a film that exposes the truth of men raping women in India. This shows how disgusting this PM really is. Britain are laying the red carpet out for him right now. Never before has this treatment been given to other Political leaders from other countries. Makes me sick.
  10. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b06ksvk5 Did any sangat watch or catchup with iPlayer today, as they had a guest Jagmeet Singh speaking regarding the Anand Karaaj recent controversy. Please forward to 30 mins in the above link to see J Singhs piece. After the topic had been closed and the next part of the show was being introduced - Jagmeet Singh is shown voicing his opinion on the recent atrocities in Punjab. Please keep watching the footage after the Anand Karaaj piece is shown. 18th October 2015
  11. I was an IT Consultant and i took my job seriously. My end result was to take action via HR and get a union rep on my side. We had meetings upon meetings and most of it was fabricated by his denial, then i took the initiative to just keep quiet and carry on doing my job. That Manager knew he couldn't handle me, but i didn't want to intimidate him, because i knew at the time i could easily take his head of, but i wouldn't resolve anything. I didn't give into his powers, but i changed my attitude and learned to ignore him. I humbled myself and ask God - if this is the way its meant to be, then let it be - i knew i was the stronger person. Not that i wanted to prove my strength, but i felt that i was being oppressed for no reason or fault of my own. I like to stand up against that kind of stuff and i always will do, there's just a way of doing it correctly. At the end of the day, you see these people 40+ hours a week, so you don't want any friction at all. Just leave people to be how they are and do your own thing. Best of luck with it all. I moved on and found a better job later on. He was not the reason for the change at all, but i just excelled to a different level. Even if i was still in the same job with the same manager, i have the strength to look past these things. The more you may think about it, the more you may even attract. Surround yourself with positive energy. Be chardi kalaa at all times.
  12. Bhaji Trust me, the anger and heartache is not worth it. I've been here and done this before. I've learnt from my mistakes. In all honesty, you need to keep doing what you're doing in the right way and keep your head down at the same time. This will add to your character and test your personal resolve. You will be a stronger person for acknowledging that there may be some negativity towards you in some way, but you have to fight it by being quiet and ignoring it. I have been in exactly the same situation. I took the wrong path and let my heat inside me burn so much that i do regret some of the things that i did. I did what you were thinking of doing, i smashed up a section of the open office. Computers, screens, desks, mugs, you name it - i let it all out. I had very heated exchanges with my Boss in the open office and accused him of discrimination. I confronted my Boss and asked him to his face about having a problem with me - i like to be honest and share my feelings and it did not work, just got lies and excuses and denial from him. I drove one of the company cars straight into his car in the carpark at high speed. I did some stupid things and i'm honestly going to tell you not to do stuff like that. It's not worth it when you look back. If you cant manage to keep quiet and may feel as though you shouldn't have to isolate yourself from everyone, then you need to elevate your experience firstly to the HR department and then become a member of the Union and have a representative to give you advice if you want to go public and make an official complaint. First and foremost, just remember that you are not guilty of anything, just keep your head down and do the work. Keep calm and get advice from the correct channels. Just like Bhenji said above, you need to ask God why this is happening and listen to the answer - which will be to do the right thing and not stoop to a level you have never to before. Just be a decent person at work and support the team. There are always going to be haters, but it takes a change in your attitude to never think like that, as long as you know you are doing the right thing. Bhul Chukk Maaf
  13. The young caller that aired his personal views on that show are a reflection of exactly what is happening these days. Just wake up and look at the real picture. Our girls are going off to Uni this week, as its Freshers. There are muslim gangs operating to try and "Woo" or attract Sikh girls into relationships. These relationships are either for fun or more malicious and the predators may have cruel intentions to try and "capture" Sikh girls for monetary return or conversion. There is no two ways about it. That caller represents a lot of the muslim guys out there these days, they are specifically targeting girls, because they are able to watch Sikh Channel etc and listen to the types of shows we are putting out there - to warn Sikh girls away from muslim guys (which gives the muslims guys even more ammunition, as they are aware of what Sikh girls may have been briefed on etc). I have personally been in these situations and seen Sikh girls being groomed at Uni, its disgusting and i cant blame anybody for this. All i can say is be alert and make sure if you see our sisters in trouble, please help at all times. Its never too late to talk to our sisters and offer support, as it all comes down to Sangat and having the right people around you. I'll be brutally honest, i don't like this situation at all, but when you see some muslim gangs like this hitting the gyms and showing to lead expensive lifestyles (expensive cars, mobile phones, clothing, all materialistic things) whilst trying their hardest to lure our sisters, it makes me feel sick to know that some girls fall for this. I'm not blaming any girls at all, no way. I'm just saying that the guys are trying their hardest to attract the girls by whatever means necessary. We all need to stand up to this cr@p and be more alert. Fend off these fake gangs and look after our sisters, not to the extent that we harass our own sisters, but to make them aware that we are here for their protection. Naturally, girls are attracted to the Alpha male, so the muslim gangs will always try to emulate that image. What we need to do is be open and honest with our sisters, offer love, care, support and protection to them (no need on hating on anybody, we just want best for our sisters). Sikh Societies are great organisations, keep the awareness up and educate everybody about these difficulties, together we can be stronger.
  14. I've read a lot of the comments on FB. Yes it's sad that a lot of generalisations are being made. Point is... Brothers: Please take every opportunity to learn a form of self defence. Too many bright lights out there trying to get our attention. DON'T get distracted by the Maya and Kaljug. Learn to defend and stand up for the Truth. Be it a physical form or on a mental level. TRY and savour both and become a Singh that will always defend evil. If any of us was walking past...regardless of caste, colour, creed etc - you need to stop this behaviour. Winds me up seeing this kind of stuff, but have some more courage to be Stronger. No need to start fights or show attitude - just be Prepared. I have no intention of inciting any hatred here - just want to make my point of knowing the difference between Attack and Defence. I agree with Cisco and Kam - get up Brothers - Work hard and make it count if there's anyone in Trouble. Bhul Chuk Maaf Ji
  15. Excellent post Bhaji. Please elaborate more. This is very deep. I want to learn more please.

  17. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-25316370 Quoted from BBC... "A Sikh gang convicted of slashing a retired Indian general's throat in revenge for a 1984 military offensive has been jailed. Lieutenant-General Kuldeep Singh Brar, 78, was attacked as he walked with his wife in central London in 2012. Mandeep Singh Sandhu, 34, of Birmingham, Dilbag Singh, 37, and Harjit Kaur, 39, both from London, were convicted of wounding with intent. Barjinder Singh Sangha, 33, of Wolverhampton, had admitted the charge. The retired general and his wife, Meena, were heading for a night out in the West End when the attack happened on 30 September 2012, Southwark Crown Court heard. 500 dead Lt Gen Brar was involved in Operation Blue Star against Sikh separatists in Amritsar, north-west India, in June 1984. Lt Gen Brar's protection ranking was raised to the highest possible following the attack in London It left at least 500 people dead and made him the target of anger and revenge attacks. A group of protesters demonstrated outside the court calling for the retired military officer to be indicted as a war criminal for his part in the operation at the Golden Temple. BBC London's Alex Bushill said the group, about a 100-strong at its height, said they do not condone the actions of the attackers but they were protesting about Lt Gen Brar. The demonstrators were from London, Coventry, Birmingham and Wolverhampton. Sentencing the four attackers Judge Jeffrey Pegden QC said: "This was a group attack by young men on a 78-year-old man." The victim "resolutely fought back" and prevented an even more serious harm. 'Drew a knife' Commenting on the role of Kaur the judge said she enabled the "ambush" to take place "swiftly and effectively". Demonstrators called for Lt Gen Brar to be indicted as a war criminal Kaur followed the victim and his wife on the day of the attack, keeping her accomplices informed of the target's movements, who were in waiting. When the couple reached Old Quebec Street, Sangha "drew a knife as the other men held the victim", the jury were told. He was left with a 12-inch cut running across his neck and jaw and another three-inch cut to the jaw. His protection ranking was raised to the highest possible following the attack. Following the sentencing, Commander Richard Walton, head of the Met's Counter Terrorism Command, said: "This was a pre-planned and organised attempt to assassinate General Brar for his military involvement in the siege of the Golden Temple in India in 1984." Mandeep Singh Sandhu and Dilbag Singh were sentenced to 14 years, Harjit Kaur was jailed for 11 years while Barjinder Singh Sangha received a sentence of 10 years and six months".
  18. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2492346/Its-minor-thing--like-4-month-injury-Letter-reveals-shocking-arrogance-teenage-footballer-jailed-killing-siblings-high-speed-smash.html 'It's a minor thing being in here... like a 4-month injury': Letter reveals shocking arrogance of teenage footballer jailed for killing siblings in a high-speed smash Courtney Meppen-Walter has been freed from prison after eight months He was jailed for causing the deaths of two siblings in car crash Letter has emerged in which he compares sentence to an 'injury' He also boasts of 'hitting the gym' while in prison and says he looks 'sexy' Victims' family criticise release saying 'it is not justice as we understand it' A footballer who killed a brother and sister in a car crash compared his prison sentence to being sidelined with an 'injury' in a letter he sent from behind bars. Former Manchester City star Courtney Meppen-Walter has been freed from prison after serving an eight month sentence for causing the deaths of siblings Kulwant Singh, 31, and Ravel Kaur, 37, from Cheetham Hill, Manchester, in a high-speed car crash. But a letter which appears to have been written by the footballer during his time in prison has emerged in which he describes his sentence as 'just like having a four month injury'. The letter, which features incorrect spelling and grammar, reads: 'Bro You Wanna See How Skinny I have Gone look Sexy as **** (As Usual). Gone bone skinny and been hitting the gym, think I'm going to be going into modleing with this body when I'm out **** football HAHAHA.'(sic) The letter goes on to say: 'Yo its a minor being in here you know just like having a 4 month injury for me. Only 3 months left for me now, nice that!' The letter is understood to have been written in April, just over a month into his sentence and three months before his initial release. Sources close to the defender say he is now looking to find a new club in a bid to ‘get his life back on track’. But the family of the victims have criticised his release, claiming they don’t feel justice has been served. The former £1,000-a-week footballer was originally freed in July but was put back behind bars within 24 hours after prison service bosses realised he had been released by mistake. At the time, he had served just four months of a 16-month sentence for two counts of causing death by careless driving. The Ministry of Justice recently completed an investigation into how the blunder occurred but have not made their findings public. Blackley and Broughton MP Graham Stringer has now pledged to raise the case in Parliament, saying keeping details of the error secret would hit public confidence in the justice system. Following his release last week, Meppen-Walter, from Blackley, tweeted about watching his former team-mates thrash Norwich 7-0 at the Etihad Stadium and about his desire to put his prison sentence behind him. He said: 'Getting my life back on track. Been a hard year but I can finally try and move forward with my life now.' The death crash happened last September when Meppen-Walter was driving a £25,000 Mercedes Elegance CDI at nearly twice the speed limit. He had been to a shisha bar in Manchester with friends and was on his way home to get ready for a night out. His friends were travelling in convoy in a VW Golf and the two cars were ‘jockeying’ around for position – accelerating and swapping lanes. Witnesses said the cars were also slowing down, possibly for speed cameras, and their driving was erratic. Meppen-Walter’s vehicle ploughed into a red Nissan Micra, killing Mr Singh and Mrs Kaur. Mr Singh had been driving his sister and her children home from a Sikh temple and was due to return to collect his wife and their two children, aged one and three. He pulled out of a side road and into the path of the Mercedes, which was travelling at 56mph in a 30mph zone. Two teenage children in the back seat suffered serious injuries and had to be cut free from the mangled wreckage, but have since made a good recovery. It emerged the double tragedy occurred five months after Meppen-Walter was caught speeding at 54mph in another 30mph zone in Bury. The teenager, from Blackley, Manchester, pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving and was sentenced to 16 months behind bars and also banned from the roads for three years. The family is suing Meppen-Walter through Manchester solicitors Pannone LLP. In a statement issued by solicitor Deirdre Healy, from Pannone, Gawa Singh, the brother of Mr Singh and Ms Kaur, said: 'The sentence that Courtney Meppen-Walter has served is nothing compared to the loss that our family have suffered. It is not justice as we understand it. Two members of our family have died. It has torn our family apart and destroyed it.' An investigation into the blunder which saw Meppen-Walter originally released was completed last month. A Prison Service spokesman said: 'Releases in error are very rare and we take any incident extremely seriously. 'An incident took place on July 1, but the prisoner was returned to custody on the same day. Following an investigation, we have reviewed our systems to reduce the risk of this happening in future.' Mr Stringer has said he will write to the Ministry of Justice and speak in Parliament demanding the findings of the investigation are made public. Sad story - The fact that two innocent lives have been taken. This guy should have got at least a life sentence, yet he boasts about being in Jail like having a "Four Month football Injury". Its a Disgrace.
  19. (SKAUR8888) A Big Thanks to You Bhenji! :biggrin2: Qi-Rattan rings a bell now! :smile2:

  22. No offence... But why do you see it as an issue? Is it a breach of Satkaar you think? I'm just guessing...but curious to know what your thoughts may be. x Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh x
  23. x Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh x Not saying this is Right or Wrong... But I've seen this plenty of times in a Darbaar before. Yes...back in the day, the Civil Ceremony would be conducted in a room within the Gurdwara Sahib Complex. Now though...I've seen the Full on Civil Ceremony (as you've seen this weekend) in the Darbaar.
