  1. Jeez, why can't you just accept that something is right? I actually wrote responses to basically everything you just said, but then I realized you probably weren't going to listen to me and I probably wouldn't reply back to your reply, so I don't even care. I said, in a SENSE he was God. Don't listen to me if you don't want to, this thread is done for all I care.
  2. You still have it wrong; the quotes should go around "one" not "with". So you're one with God and you're the same person or being as him.
  3. The thing is though they were one with God. So in a sense, they were God. There should be a choice "All of the above" or something like that, because he really was...
  4. Some bhangra I will admit has a catchy beat or something like that, but the reason I don't want to associate myself with it is because the stuff associated with bhangra tends to be bad. There's lots of other things that you could listen to or do that isn't related to drinking, etc. And plus, imho, I don't like most bhangra, there may be one or two tracks that sound good, but then again there are at least one or two tracks of every genre that may be good, doesn't mean I like that particular genre.
  5. Jeez... Not trying to beat on you specifically, but I've seen this a bunch of times, so I have to say: 1) Don't type in caps... 2) Don't say the same stuff people have already said...
  6. http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/t/team...e.html?team=ind We did really bad in the qualifiers...
  7. When guru ji went around and traveled on foot and all that, he learned about other religions and put together the good in them, he didn't try to find faults... after all, that's why we have all the different people of different religions quoted in the SGGS, but only the good stuff.
  8. http://victorinoxindia.com/Products_ks1_2812.htm Coolest kirpans ever, end of story Some people say "That's just like showing off" but not really; they're well made in addition to just looking flipping awesome, hahaha
  9. Maybe we can't really change what they're doing, so I guess that's why I can't really say this thread is really helpful (the point about showing why we don't do some of these things, though, is a good reason for it, I guess). I just want to say in response to all the posts saying "We shouldn't think of them badly because they do this, it's just their way of life" : I'm a Sikh because I think Sikhism is the best religion; sure, let them believe what they want, maybe, and we should let them accept it, but I still think it's weird/pointless/not good for you in any way, and shouldn't we believe that if we're to believe our religion is the best? Or are we just following the religion because our parents did... I dunno, this is a weird thread nevertheless...
  10. The jokes we hear about Sikhs are also not based on any truth . Regarding myself I first received a joke and replied with a joke . I did not send first mind you . ... I know all of that; that's what my whole post was about... I was trying to explain how sending back another joke, in my opinion, wasn't the best thing to do. I don't think you got what I was trying to say, re-read my post maybe...
  11. Just search Google... for like "mp3 splitter" or whatever format the file is in, you should easily find something.
  12. I thought it meant "there is only one God"..?
  13. So... does anybody actually know the line in Gurbani where it mentions ghosts/spirits? Just wondering what it actually says.
  14. Still didn't answer my question; you said we're doing it politically, but how??? Politically is not an answer... And totally forget the armed struggle; people say Khalistan is so that there won't be another '84... so we're going to massacre our people? Check out the new post (I'll make it in a bit) and vote; let's see how many people would even go to war for Khalistan, I'm just wondering. Really, though, a war isn't what we need; my main point has always been that we could be doing something else, other than fighting for Khalistan. If something works just as well, but doesn't have deaths, isn't that better?
  15. Like it's stated in the topic name: "No disrespect intended" That's totally hypocritical. I'd rather have replied by making fun of some aspect of their life that's probably true--which is not hypocritical, because (hopefully) their joke wasn't based on any truth whatsoever (and if it was, well.... maybe that's a good thing you heard to joke, so you can fix it). Or better yet, just ignore it, seriously; like who cares?? Do you know the person? Posting jokes like this is okay in my opinion, but only if we mean it as it is--a joke. Don't go out telling it to Bahmans...
