Well it will be best if you can do it with chownkri as you will get more concentration. But you feel lazy and would prefer not to do paath than sitting in chownkri then you can do it. Remember reciting Gurbani is more important , no matter how you do it.

i think you are taking it wrong way. I am not talking about staring at Girls but look for (1sec etc) at Girls. I have never ever made any Girl felt uncomfortable or bad by keep looking at her. I was also talking about looking at even photographs or beautiful girl wallpapers , movies. Like we meet many girls in day to day life in good way. I also had similar question like Bundha ji. i think first of all for changing the destiny , you need to pay in terms of Ardaas and Gurbani or bhagti. Its not always that easy. Like going from right to left. But i think if you go to left then what ever karms are left with people on right Guru Shaib will complete some with your Gurbani you have read or they will eventually come to u or meet u in some other way. its all automatic we won't notice that. And regarding people on left , they will be new karms which you will be seeding. you need to understand the karm philosophy for that.

I love posts like that when people try to convince themselves rather than others that by just keeping hairs you will not attain GOD. I also used to do same. But man at the end of day its those bad people who will get punished. so you don't need to worry about that. If Amritdhari people are comitting kurehet what you have to do with it. The most important factor is People think this way that by cutting hairs they will get smartness , Girls , Job , can go to clubs parties etc When i had my cut hairs before i had 1000s of benefits of my cut hair. I didn't knew that why i was kepping them. The only thing i knew was if i keep them Guru sahib will be happy. But at that time i thought millions are cuting their hair. I am not the only one so i cut them. I knew that after death it can cause problem but firstly i wanted to be happy in this world so i cut my hairs at that time. Even today when i have hairs grown. I still miss my old freedom. That smartness etc. really very difficult to grow hairs if you are not from gurskih family. I am fighting with myself every day

The problem is Time spent by parents to teach sikhi <<<<<< Time spent by children on TV/Movies Its Human Psychology that we tend to forget everything after 3-4 days. Suppose If i tell you that driniking 2 glass ofwater in morning before anything is good for health , then you will do it for few days , you will forget it after 1-2 months. Then when someone else tell you you again di it for few days and this process repeeats. So parents do tell children about sikhi fore few days and then stop. but our Enemey TV/MOVIES tells children to follow more western culture is doing its duty every day , every hour without stopping. So he will win anyway. If parents are Gursikh and telling each and every day then children can learn but this does not happen usually. If media/movies is not the case then why there wee more sikhs few dacades ago when there was no TV /Media

Its because 1. Media: our cable TV and Media has portraited the Movie starts as real Heros and with 500 TV channels , Every child sees that from age of 1 years. So that becomes deep rooted and they want to look like starts. Thats the only reason. 2. Girls: Believe it or not Every boy wants to impress Girls and Every Girl want to impress Boys. "Gurbani being misued" i think "Gurbani" and "misued" can't fit together. Guru sahib has said that We should do simran to attain GOD but we can also recite Gurbani to get our worldly desired fulfilled. If i want to win the wrestling competetion then i can recite Gurbani to make my Body etc. Does that mean that i am going aganist sikhi. If after winning wrestling competetion i started killing people with my muscle power , now , does that mean that its Gurbani's fault that it hellped me build very strong muscles?? There are always two faces of same thing. You can either use it good way or bad way. you can cut vegetable with Knife and you can also kill man with knife. "Icsha purak sarb sukh datha har" It means what evr you want from Guru Sahib , you will get it. Be is powers or anything else. The reason for rishis/sidhis was that in Hindi Rigveda there are many mantras which can provide Ridhis/sidhis so if some sikh wants it then people were using that mantras . So Guru sahib told that Even if you want only ridshis/sidhis you can also get from Gurbani as well. But there is one thing if you attain sidhi Via Hindu Mantra then you can do anything good or bad. If you attain sidhi via Gurbani then you will not be able to do bad like suppose i have sidhi where i can predict future events. In case i get it from HIndu mantras then i can open a shop and earn money. But i get it from Gurbani then if i start to make money then either i will lose it or it won't work. I had done sidhis via Hindu mantra as well as gurbani. so i know the difference. The only problem is that once you get them you EGO rises and you start feeling special. Haume comes and you start come down spiritually. Like Me. Thats the reason Guru Shaib told us not to go this way. if someone really want that then He don't need to Go to Tantrik etc. He can get it in gUrbani as well.

@Wales85 First of all we can't make everyone happy or you can say that we can't prove our things to everyone and there is no need for that. Its upto to the beleiver to beleive. Even When Guru Nanak dev ji came on earth there were many who didn't accept them as GOD/AVATAR and Guru ji never tried to convinced them and asked people to follow them. People used their mind and then experinced that what they are saying is true and then they follow. I beleive that you have not read Sri Guru granth Sahib.Guru sahib has given many example that Ghosts /spirits/supernatural powers/ridhis/sidhis/Hell/Heaven/Life after Death do exists. In this forum everyone beleives that what ever is written in SGGGS is correct. SO if someone say that Ghosts don't exist then we can give the reference of Panki "Kai kot Bhoot pret sukar mirgach" and he agrees with that. Although he has not practically seen it but they know that they are there. then if some forum member have experineced it he can give his reference. Now thats upto you to beleive or not and you have full right for that.You either belive or you not. Its upto you. Even if someone make you beleive with some real thing and you also share in this forum , then will be many more Wales85 like you and they repeat the same story. So bottom line for sikh is , believe with 100% faith on what is written in SGGGS but you can question on individual experiences. Actually i am not being able to draw a line which is right and which is wrong. Now suppose i go to Bus and i see two empty seats. If i have the option of sitting close to girl or boy , i will prefer to sit with girl. Even if i don't do anything but something inside me will tell me to sit there. I have seen many times that even when i was sitting somewhere in class / centre etc then sometimes Girls sit near me rather than near some girl. Does that mean that those Girls are bad or i am bad if i prefer that way

1. How often you guys apply oil to beard. One of my friend told me to do it every day and apply oil in the roots of hairs in beard. Iam doing that but then collar of all shirts gets very bad due to oil. Is that the case with all. 2. Also why some people tie some cloth from beard and tie on turban. What is the purpose of that 3. I have the propblem that my mustaches are growing and whenver i eat anything the hairs try to go in my mouth. I find it very difficult. After every bite i have to wipe my mouth to clear hairs. what is the solution

Even if i close my eyes that wont make others to close their eyes. and I am not talking bad about girls. Even on Television also i also tend to see biollywood movie heroines to see etheir beauty. I mean their wallapapers etc. Its not about dirty thinking but about eyes looking to see beauty. Even if i am alone in room i want that i should have no urge to see the photos of beautiful girls /wallapers etc.

WJKK WJKF saad sangat ji please help. I can't stop myself from looking at Girls. Before becoming gurskih i had no knowledge about sikhi so i used to have girl friends. That habit is so much delved into me that although i don't approach girls or talk to them. but i can't stop myself from looking. I know its bad but i can't stop. When ever i look at beautiful girl , i feel so much relaxed and good. Its very good feeling. I have also asked some Gurskihs and they told me that look at them like sisters. But i tell you frankly mind won't accept that. It works if Girl is not good looking but when i see beautiful Girl then mind wont accept that.
