    Rara

Rarra ( ੜ ) is a common one people struggle with and often say ਰ instead. ਰ - When you say this one you tongue is at the front of your mouth. ੜ - When you say this, your tongue needs to go to the top of your mouth towards the back and flick towards the front. Hope that helps,
  2. We sell Kirpans / Sri Sahibs at: http://www.sikhistore.com/category/kakaar/kirpans/ Hope that helps.

    sikhi shop...

We also sell Karas. We are running a bit low at the moment but are receiving a lot more next week.
  6. I would try contacting them by email. If you do not get a reply, then through paypal. In the future, bear us at www.SikhiStore.com in mind
  7. There are 3 main types of materials available which are Rubai, Full Voile and Mal Mal. The differences between these fabrics is that Rubia has dense weaving and is the heaviest and thickest of the Dastars/Turbans. Full Voile Dastars/Turbans have light weaving and are in the middle in terms of weight and thickness. Mal- Mal Dastars/Turbans have very fine and very light weaving and are the thinnest and lightest of the three.
  8. VJKK VJKF Bhaji... Sounds great for anyone needs different colours and/or stitching. Just as a price comparison though, I checked and for a standard 5 metre Rubia Navy Blue Dastar including delivery with pagrihouse costs $39.77 (which is approx £26.29) to England. We at SikhiStore do the same including delivery for £9.45. Massive price difference!
  9. You order from www.sikhishop.com?
  10. They are amazing indeed! There actual name is Bhai Kuljit Singh Jee with an 'i' instead of 'ee'. You may be able to find more searching by that name. A quick Google search showed to me a site with quite a few recordings: http://1guk.gurmatveechar.com/audio/andromeda.php?q=f&f=%2FEnglish+Katha+-+Talks%2FBhai+Kuljit+Singh+(Leicester) They are also involved in a Gurmat camp in Leicester starting 13th Feb. To see more details see: http://ardasinleicester.com
  11. Not specific to the this website but just a general humble beanti to the Sangat. Please check and only download books, stream films for free if they are actually free to buy, otherwise spend a little amount to get the real thing. I think a often general misconception is giving out things for free is seva, copy Vismaad DVDs here, give out free ebooks there. Some blessed people spend countless time, effort and money to produce Sikhi items and income from sales helps them recoup the money they initially put in. Some people who start such ventures do not even recoup the amount of money they originally put into the project let alone anything for their time, effort or future projects. We should help support such ventures so that more great things can come, instead of killing the projects through free downloads/ piracy.
  12. Singhg Bhaji... We are based in England, UK and we ship all our items to Sangat anywhere in the world.
  13. Are you tying something like this? It may make it a bit easier to tie if you are using something like the above picture. We sell Patkas at: http://www.sikhistore.com/products/dastars/childrens-patka/
  14. I tie Gol dastar, normally in Royal Blue or Navy Blue to work. Once every so often also tie Orange and White, outside of work though. And by the way, we also sell a range of Dastars in Black, Royal Blue, Navy Blue, White and Orange.
  15. VJKK VJKF Singh135... Didn't realise we were like what? We have been operating for almost a year now with many hundreds of orders from many different countries. This takes around 1-3 hours a day and is all done on seva basis with no paid staff and nobody taking any expenses. In fact, we are putting money in from our own pockets to help it grow. Every penny that has come in since we started has all been reinvested to make SikhiStore even bigger and better for the Sangat. In this time, every order placed has been dispatched next working day apart from 1 due to a death in our family and this was posted the next day. And in this time, there has only been 1 order which was not received (lost by Royal Mail) and for that case we posted out there order again. If the delivery company is late delivering the item, what can we do veerji? Thanks, SikhIStore
  16. VJKK VJKF Harvinder Singh Bhaji... We received your email at around 11.20pm last night at which point we were asleep. You did not also need to post here as we would of replied to your email anyway. Regarding your order, your order taken 8.30PM on Friday November 30th was dispatched the next day on Saturday December 1st and an email was sent to you informing you that your order had been dispatched. When placing an order, you are offered a variety of postage options, standard airmail, signed for airmail etc etc. You chose the standard non tracked delivery method and that is why you never received a tracking number. You should have received your package by now. Royal Mail suggest waiting 25 working days so if we wait another week or so to see if it arrives and if not, we will send out your order out for you again. Thanks, SikhiStore www.SikhiStore.com
  17. VJKK VJKF... The dastar material is sold per meter on our website so the quantity is in reference to the length. So, 5 would be 5 meters of dastar material.
  18. We stock Mal Mal (F-74) Dastars. We also have Full Voile and Rubia Dastars and ship worldwide. To see all the dastars we do, take a look at: www.sikhistore.com/products/dastars/ Hope that helps...
  19. You can just add any item into your basket on our website to calculate postage (it is all weight and delivery country dependant). Delivery for one Kachera to Canada is £6.10. For 5 though it is only £16.94.
  20. As 'Jangal Da' correctly points out, we have a variety of sizes of traditional knee length Kacheras and we ship worldwide. Take a look at: www.sikhistore.com/products/kakaar/kacherey/
  21. Doubt anyone would be offended. Could also try a different type of gift - something related to Sikhi? Lots of things at: www.SikhiStore.com
  22. Ravinder Bhenji... Congratulations on being blessed with Amrit. You have given your head to Guru Jee. Now you face a test. If it is a hard decision to make, go back to the Panj Pyares and ask for their guidance as ultimately their decision is final. One little related experience. I was outside an Amrit Sanchar a few months back and an elderly bibi was in two minds about taking Amrit and didn't go in. One of the Panj Pyares came to the door and starting talking with her, they asked if she kept rehat, wore kakaar etc. She said to wearing kakaar and pointed to the little kirpan she had on a necklace and the Singh (Panj) was quite clear saying that a little kirpan round your neck is not a kirpan. A proper kirpan should be worn in a gatra. They also mentioned it is not you who take care of your Kakaar, your Kakaar take care of you. Regarding safety of kirpan whilst sleeping, I do not know of anybody who was ever hurt by Kirpan whilst sleeping. From personal experience, just in our house parents have been Amritdhari for 15+ years each, Grandma 10+ years, me, wife & brother 4+ years each and we all wear our Kirpans to sleep and no-one has ever been hurt by them or had any issues.

No worries... Hope you manage to sort this out. Don't delay, talk to her but be firm and clear, she must stop or else you will involve others including her parents. I'm sure that will be enough to stop her in her tracks.
