  1. True, we will try our best to stop such orders. And by the way, dhaals (shields with mini swords) are something we may hopefully offer in the future.
  2. Shastar wise, to start with, we will only be selling Kirpans as in the Kakaar (Sri Sahibs). Having spoken and confirmed in writing via HM Revenue & Customs, seems there is a blanket ban on bringing knives/swords into the UK with blades exceeding 50cm (approx 20inches) so it is very unlikely we will ever sell any shastar with blades exceeding that size. We are however on the look out for and hope to also in the future offer decorative Sri Sahibs and some Pesh Kabz and other such items. And yes, we will be vigilant on the sale of Kirpans etc and who they are purchased by on the website.
  3. Downloaded this earlier on my iPhone 4 and it works great. Can see this getting a lot of use, especially as GurbaniAnywhere still doesnt work on iOS5. 4. Maharaj dee kirpa naal, SikhiStore will launch towards the end of this month. We are just waiting on a big delivery from India, once that is here and the new items are photographed and listed on the website we shall launch it. If you sign up on our website at www.SikhiStore.com we will send you an email about the day we are going to launch along with a special 10% discount voucher to use on launch day too.
  5. Thank you for your kind words. Regarding good prices, we will offer great quality items at good prices. I'll give the sangat an example here... For Kirpans, cheap Kirpans (Sri Sahibs) made in China are now a reality and because of this, some Kirpan makers in Punjab have seen declines in sales. We wanted to support the Singh in Punjab so bypassed the cheaper China made ones. We further looked at numerous Kirpans in Punjab to judge the quality and finally ended up placing an order where the Sri Sahibs are hand made by Singhs to a very high standard. The casing is flush so there is almost no bumps and ridges on the outside between the metal work and the wood, which often catch in your clothes and the Sri Sahib itself is sharp to begin with. Other factors such as the maker, quality and age of the wood etc were all taken into account too. So it is certainly not the cheapest Sri Sahib we could find to offer the Sangat but it is the best we could find. Furthermore, the range of items SikhiStore will offer to the Sangat will build over time as we find good quality versions. We did not want to offer the Sangat items unless we were totally happy with them. For example, whilst looking at Gatrey (Gatra) at numerous places, we found some good quality adjustable ones which we purchased but we were unhappy with the quality/standard of the normal non adjustable gatrey so we did not purchase any. These will be coming soon. Thanks, SikhiStore
