Sangat Ji, Last year I was a mona, meat-eating person but with the blessing of Vaheguru, I changed because of the shaheedi of the sahibzade. Now I've kept my kesh, had Santhiya of 7 Nitnem Banis by Taksali Singh, Santhiya of Sukhmani Sahib aswell and now starting SGGSJ Maharaj's Santhiya. A Singh that I know has just took Amrit which makes me feel left behind because am not doing anything to prepare for this amazing blessing. I don't feel ready but what are the steps to get me to the stage of "Yes, I want to give my Head to Guru Jee" (One of them is actually knowing the maryada which I need to do) but other things?

I've had Haldi, Milk and Honey before going to sleep at night a few times, helped my throat as I do keertan lol so need to tune the voice. It also helps with colds etc... Dunno about muscular pains, first time i've come across this!

Don't like this negativity. Gurbanee is Gurbanee. Many people in our Panth are against Dasam Granth Sahib and Sri Sarbloh Granth and now they are going to against more Banee. Respect all Banee equally. Think about the hits you'll get from Dharam Raaj from saying such things about Guru Granth Sahib Jee!!!!!!!

Giani Jee is in Southall! The videos of the Huddersfield programs should be available soon. Also I have heard they are going to Slough and Northern Ireland, dunno when this is. Also, Giani Jee are attending the 22nd September program @ Southall, opposite the Guru Amar Dass Gurdwara.

The way I started off with Sukhmani Sahib was.....1) Listen to the paath. 2) Do online Santhiya! 3) Do it in parts practically.

Do Chaupai Sahib when you can. I've started aiming for 10 chaupai sahib paaths each day, during the day. Once the banee is kanth in your mind, you can do it when you want!

Giani Jee was at Har Rai Sahib Gurdwara, West Bromwich today and he's staying there uptil 26th August I've heard. Giani Jee is attending Wednesfield Gurdwara once again on the 2nd September I think and then from the 5th September are in Yorkshire. The dates in between I don't have any news on I'll try my best to keep the sangat updated.

Oh yeah sorry veer jee let me confirm that the Leeds Road gurdwara is Singh Sabha Gurdwara. These Divaans are confirmed. Giani Jee is currently in Birmingham, West Midlands.

Am in the same situation, the mind chose to rather sleep and now i feel depressed because of it. But when I did nitnem there was Sukh everywhere.

Not too sure, I'll try to find out. Also here are the West Yorkshire programs: [Divaans from 6:30pm - 9pm, but not sure for the Sun 9th program on time]. Wednesday 5th September - The Sikh Temple, Chapeltown Gurdwara, Leeds. Thursday 6th September - Guru Gobind Singh Gurdwara, Bradford. Friday 7th September - Leeds Road Gurdwara, Bradford (200 yards from Guru Gobind Singh Gurdwara). Saturday 8th September - Guru Nanak Gurdwara Huddersfield, Prospect Street. Sunday 9th September - Singh Sabha Gurdwara,Fartown, Huddersfield, Hillhouse Lane.

Am from Huddersfield myself and take part to do seva in the Nagar Keertan, I go in the mandir sometimes to use the toilets lol. Much more parchaar and gurmat is needed in Huddersfield, defiantley i hope Vaheguru gives us the strength to do more Sikhi Camps and awareness. It's a struggle with the committee to even get a event organised.

Giani Jee is staying in the West Midlands and then uptil the 26th Aug they are going to West Bromich with divaans in between in the Midlands. Derbys good, even though i live in Huddersfield. Guru Arjan Dev Jee Gurdwara is always on Sikh Channel/Sangat TV. Sundays at 4pm they do a Q & A at the Gurdwara and it's amazing the amount of knowledge you gain from that, it's on Sangat TV. Also, they have some good programs which my area lacks lol.

I agree with this topic than parents need to do alot more. As for myself, am 17 and punjabi is a must in our house, parents have done their bit by giving me the Sikhi Knowledge and I went to Punjabi School, did it fully up to A Level. I can only thank Vaheguru Jee that my Sikhi, Heritage and Punjabi is there.

We need some Chakaram's and some Singhs to fire them at Badal's neck. Result = straight off

It's simple guys, one side you have Sant Jarnail Singh Khalsa who respected Banee with the utmost respect and then on the other side you have these anti people. Without Dasam Granth Jee's Banee results to: - No Ardass, Nitnem/Amrit Sanchaar cannot be complete.

Yep Giani Thakur Singh's Katha is awesome and inspiring, we should all listen to the Katha and implement into our lives
