  1. Once again, it's girls from the Midlands. Whilst this happens in most places, the Midlands is disproportionately represented in such statistics. What is going on up there?
  2. I'm not suggesting that only khatris or Afghan Sikhs are up to no good. Last month, the bhangra singer Foji (Manjit Gill) and his father Harpal Gill and his chacha (both in Sikhi saroop) as well another 14 others were jailed for a £35 million pound scam involving setting up bogus companies and laundering money. Nearly all jatt. So lets not isolate one community.
  3. I live within the London Borough of Hounslow and unfortunately it gives me no pleasure to confirm Jagsaw's version of events. Members of that community (1) have amassed vast sums of money in a very short period of time, (2) none of their women go to work, instead they have 4 children each, (3) their husbands are no Oxbridge graduates with City jobs that they an accumulate such wealth in such a short period of time. As recently as 12-15 years ago, they were asylum seekers. They are now purchasing £800,000 businesses. Where did the money come from?
  4. As far as I am concerned, they should be named and shamed in the various gurdwarae's. They should be made an example of.

Pictured is ringleader Nawid Moshfiq A pickpocket gang who amassed more than £5 million by stealing mobile phones on the Tube has been jailed for more than 30 years. The group of 11 thieves earned almost £10,000 a day by stealing mobile phones from unwitting commuters on the London Underground. Ring leader Nawid Moshfiq, 'the boss' behind the network of people who were dealing the stolen phones, encouraged 'staff' to work between 2pm and 10pm each day. The huge scale of their operation was uncovered when more than 100 officers raided private properties and business premises where more than one thousand smart phones taken from the rail network and £143,000 were seized. At one address, officers seized more than £23,000 which had been hidden in different rooms of the house, including inside a child's jacket. Police believe the gang made around £5 million selling their ill-gotten gains. Operation Park, which began almost two-and-a-half years ago resulted in the 11 being sentenced over two trials with conspiracy to handle stolen goods and money laundering offences. Ringleader Moshfiq, 39, from Brentford, Essex, was sentenced to five years behind bars for conspiracy to handle stolen goods, three years for money laundering and 18 months for possession of criminal property, running concurrently. His associates - Paramijit Singh Karla 42, Harmeet Bhatia, 24, Pritbal Bhatia 55, and Nirmohan Bhatia, 20, all from Northolt, north west London, as well as Ranjit Banger, 31, and Mubarak Korasi, 41, from Southall, west London, were imprisoned. +11 +11 Paramijit Singh Kalra (left), 42, Harmeet Bhatia, 24, (right) were part of the group of 11 thieves who earned almost £10,000 a day by stealing mobile phones from unwitting commuters on the London Underground +11 +11 Pritbal Bhatia, and Nirmohan Bhatia, 20, both from Northolt, north west London, were also jailed Ahmed Raza , 28, from Leyton, east London, Ariji Singh Sethi, 43, from Hounslow, west London, and Nirmohan Singh, 38, also received prison sentences varying between two and three years long. 'To truly tackle theft, we can't just catch pickpockets and petty thieves; we have to also dismantle the criminal networks behind them, who profit from this type of crime. 'Phones are often stolen out of view of CCTV in crowded carriages or busy stations without the owner even realising. 'This makes it hard for us to catch thieves in the act and even when we do, we often find they are only small players in much bigger criminal organisations. 'This investigation shows how tirelessly we will work to bring these people before the courts and I welcome the sentences handed down to the defendants.'
  6. jus reign and orgy? That was made up! By a troll on this forum
  7. UK parchaaraks and education, It's a disturbing trend to witness UK parchaaraks discourage western, orthodox education at the expense of Sikhi-based education. If a parchaarak was a surgeon or a tax accountant, parents would look upon such individuals as ideal role models for their children. Parents would say "look kids, here is an example of someone who maintained their Sikhi saroop, became a professional lawyer (or whatever) and is preaching on the weekends". Instead, the current crop of parchaaraks give the impression that to become a "really religious Sikh", one has to give up their education, career, professional life etc. This simply feeds into the narrative from when we were kids, which is that all the rich, successful Sikhs are clean shaven and that if you wear a turban, you'll end up in the gurudwara 24/7 with no prospects. I may be exaggerating to a degree to make my point, but you get my drift. This narrative feeds into the minds of young girls when looking for a partner. They look at a Singh and think "probably backwards, less educated". I wish the UK born parchaaraks didn't give up on professional jobs/careers. It sends out the wrong message to the youth.
  8. A tragic loss - not only for the Sikh community but everyone. I saw him on the Sikh Channel a few months ago, proposing how he was trying to make arrangements for Canadian Sikhs to sponsor Afghan Sikhs for settlement in Canada. Top guy.
  9. I don't work for the Daily Mail - I'm a medic! It's just a name. Like it or loath it, the Daily Mail's relentless campaign nailed the killers of Stephen Lawrence. To date, when formulating policy, government ministers fear the dreaded "what will the Daily Mail headline be" - it is a influential paper. However, I agree, it does take a hostile tone on many issues! By the way, if my memory serves me correct, I thought your wife was already amritdhari?
  10. That's a fantastic post Jagsaw. I've read your posts since the days of West London Singh, and that, by a logarithmic mile, is the best. "He, is a man. Nothing more nothing less." Personality worship, is strangely increasing in some jathebandis. Even in educated Sikhs. Its a phenomenon that I can't understand.
  11. On a side note, Matt Damon was able to grow potatoes whilst stranded on Mars (The Martian). You reckon he's from Hoshiarpur as well?!
  12. Agriculture is what we do best. Punjabi Sikh farmers have gone to Tamil Nadu (posted on this very forum), Georgia (infact, the Georgian government wants more), Gujarat etc to turn barren land into bread baskets. Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana is world renowned. Visiting professorships from North America and Europe. They are innovative in farming methods and the world knows it. Clearly, something has gone wrong with passing these methods and techniques onto their own doorstep. Most likely - economics. But, lack of education and lack of awareness are also to blame.
  13. From last nights revelations on Sangat TV, its now fact that this wasn't a last minute hastily arranged meeting at all. It had been in the pipeline for 6 months and many meetings were facilitated both in the UK and India with the BJP leadership for 17 mins with Modi. This meeting raises more questions than it answers.

  15. My understanding, was that it had been decided at a "panthic meeting" in Singh Sabha Southall, 3-4 weeks ago, that Dr Jasdev Singh Rai would meet Mr Modi alone, with a blueprint and agenda that had been formulated with all so-called jathebandi's present at that meeting in the gurudwara. This included points such as release of Sikh political prisoners who had completed their sentences, removal of the "blacklist" (enabling travel to India), recognising Harmandir sahib as a centre for the global Sikh community (not just the Indian Sikh community) and linked to that, the jathedar of the Akal Thakht to be elected from the global Sikh community (not limited to India alone). I am surprised that others also attended. This certainly wasn't discussed in any earlier meetings.
  16. The best place for the Kohinoor is the UK. It has changed more hands than I've had hot dinners. The last rightful owners are the Sikhs - but if the Kohinoor goes to the Punjab, Badal will go for it!!! Or else, the Indian State will confiscate it just as they confiscated/destroyed Sikh artefacts in 1984.
  17. From the Daily Mail. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3308671/Indians-sue-Queen-return-100m-jewel-crown-Bollywood-stars-businessmen-launch-legal-battle-105-carat-diamond-say-stolen-country.html It is the extraordinary £100 million diamond worn by the Queen Mother at the Coronation of her husband and then her daughter. But the Koh-i-Noor, which also dazzled in the crowns of Queen Alexandra and Queen Mary, could be stripped from Britain’s Crown Jewels and returned to India. Bollywood stars and businessmen have united to instruct lawyers to begin legal proceedings in London’s High Court. They are demanding that the Government return the 105-carat diamond, which they say was stolen from its true home. The move could result in some awkward moments at a lunch the Queen is hosting for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Buckingham Palace this week, although a Royal source said the row was strictly off the agenda. It also reopens a controversial case in British colonial history and adds to the legend of the Koh- i-Noor, which can be worn only ‘by God or a woman’. David de Souza, of the Indian leisure group Tito’s, who is helping to fund the fight, said: ‘The Koh- i-Noor is one of the many artefacts taken from India under dubious circumstance.’ He claimed colonisation had stolen wealth and ‘destroyed the country’s psyche’. And Bollywood star Bhumicka Singh added: ‘The Koh-i-Noor is not just a 105-carat stone, but part of our history and culture and should undoubtedly be returned.’ The Government has rejected demands for the return of the oval-shaped stone, which was presented to Queen Victoria in 1851. Last night historian Andrew Roberts told The Mail on Sunday: ‘Those involved in this ludicrous case should recognise that the British Crown Jewels is precisely the right place for the Koh-i-Noor diamond to reside, in grateful recognition for over three centuries of British involvement in India, which led to the modernisation, development, protection, agrarian advance, linguistic unification and ultimately the democratisation of the sub-continent.’ The case has drawn comparisons to that of the Elgin Marbles, the ancient sculptures held at the British Museum that Greece wants returned. However, Mr Roberts said: ‘Britain has an even better case to keep the Koh-i-Noor, acquired as the result of a legally binding treaty, than the Elgin Marbles, which is also watertight.’ The diamond was given to Queen Victoria by the last ruler of the Sikhs, Duleep Singh, after the British annexe of the Punjab. The handing over of such a revered gem is still considered a national humiliation in India. British lawyers instructed by the ‘Mountain of Light’ group (the translation of Koh-i-Noor) to repatriate it said last night they would base their case on the Holocaust (Return of Cultural Objects) Act, which gives national institutions in the UK the power to return stolen art. Satish Jakhu, of Birmingham-based law firm Rubric Lois King, said they would make their claim under the common law doctrine of ‘trespass to goods’, arguing that the Government had stolen the diamond. He added they would also be taking the case to the International Court of Justice. The latest row adds to seven centuries of blood-soaked history which has seen the gem handed down within dynasties and across countries. Pakistan, India, Iran and even the Taliban in Afghanistan have all laid claim to the stone which was first documented in 1304. Legend decrees that whoever wears it will become incredibly powerful but that any male owner will meet an unfortunate end. The then Queen Elizabeth had it crafted into the centrepiece of the crown she wore in 1937 for the Coronation of her husband King George VI. The diamond remains there to this day. The crown was also placed on the Queen Mother’s coffin during her lying-in-state in 2002.
  18. As most of you are aware, a lavish welcome party is being prepared to welcome Modi to the UK, with 60,000 people expected in Wembley Stadium on 13th November. Sounds rather premature to celebrate a prime minister of a country whereby 50% still defecate in the open air and rape of women has become a hobby. However, if Modi's fan's feel they have something to celebrate, that's their business. BUT! Are you aware that 3 Labour MP's have pledged to donate their salary increase (£7,000) to help fund the welcome party? Stephen Pound (Ealing North), Keith Vaz (Leicester East) and Virender Sharma (Ealing Southall) have all pledged £7k each? It was reported that Seema Malhotra (Feltham Heston) was to also donate her salary increase but she has released a statement pledging to donate her salary increase to an apprenticeship scheme. If individuals wish to donate to the Modi welcome party, I don't have an issue. But a parliamentarian is paid from the public purse. I have an issue with this! This Modi frenzy is peculiar, especially from the Labour party. Modi has attacked worker's rights by reducing the Labour laws from 44 to 4 - I'm sure Jeremy Corbyn will have something to say about that. In Gujarat, inequality has increased under his chief ministership (although overall prosperity increased) - again, not something that will impress Labour (UK). Modi's former school of hard knocks, the RSS, have fascist and racist ideologies - something that should concern any parliamentarian, Labour or otherwise. If you live in Ealing North, Ealing Southall (at least 1/3 Sikh), or Leicester East - please take this up with your respective MP.
  19. It's bizarre that some on this forum are still discussing "sellouts" in london who wish to meet Modi, but fail to acknowledge the elephant in the room.....that the ol'chap who was awarded the Fakhr-e-Qaum (Mr Badal/Dhillon) has sold out the Sikh nation to the right-wing Hindu's!!!!! Even if these Khatri businessmen hadn't been sellouts, then Badal's industrial-level selling out would've more than made up for it. In the end, who cares if the Khatri businessmen meet Modi or not, when Mr Jatt has sold out the Sikh nation? What a strange, strange, strange discussion indeed.
  20. I agree that, by modifying the title of this thread, the mods have directly personally attacked Jagsaw. That is unacceptable. As moderators, they have behaved rather amateurishly. If they disagreed with the premise of the thread, they should have deleted/removed the thread. To amend the thread in this way harms the image of the moderators and that of the forum. I expected better from the mods.
  21. Jagsaw and Proactive, You say that these sellouts tend to be from one particular community? Your sample size is....the Sikh population of London, or lets say, England to be fair. Lets look at the larger sample size of...India. You talk about the entire Sikh community being united. Yes they are - against a man and a particular family, from a particular caste. Are we allowed to mention it? You certainly haven't - despite mentioning the "2% group". Alright then, I will. Yes you guessed it - jatt! The Badal's aka the Dhillon's aka the mafia. Whilst you're busy mentioning the Khatri's, you've failed to look at the bigger picture. Mr Dhillon has systematically attempted to finished off Sikhi in Punjab. He's not the only one from that community who attempted this. Remember KPS Gill, or Gen Brar? Which community were they from? Even if we look at Southall Singh Sabha, Mr Sohi (former pardhaan) has stated that he is proud to have finished off the Khalistan movement in the UK - why wasn't his caste mentioned when judging his loyalty? My point isn't to denigrate the jatts. But, since you don't stop banging on about caste, unloyal Khatri's, etc etc, I feel have no other option but to mention it. It seems rather silly of you Jagsaw, to talk about a few Khatri businessmen who want to meet Modi, who have received OBE's, when, right under your nose, Mr Dhillon has ensured that Punjabi Sikhs are killed off at gunpoint, and those that survive are cancer-ridden, disease-ridden, unemployed, marginalised and read textbooks which teach the kids incorrect Sikh history - something he has not corrected. Mr Dhillon has put zero effort to ensure the release of Rajoana and other Sikh political prisoners. He has formed political coalitions with the BJP - need I say more! Not only has Mr Dhillon attempted to finished off Sikhi in Punjab for this generation. His legacy aka the daily cancer train in Malwa has ensured that the next generation of Sikhs will be so weak, there will be little attempt at another uprising. If anyone survives the above - then they want to commit suicide (farmers). Mr Dhillon has built a business empire stretching from Punjab to Dubai to North America - off the backs of hard working punjabi's of all backgrounds. All the while the common man in Punjab is dodging uranium infested water/soil and dodging a bullet from the police for a peaceful protest. Suddenly, a Khatri businessman receiving an OBE doesn't sound as bad. Under Mr Dhillon, life is so bleak, that if he and his government forces haven't killed you off, then you're going to want to top yourself off regardless. Unless you can escape to England. My point, my dear friends, is simply to highlight that their are traitors in all communities/castes and no one single caste is better than the other in terms of loyalty or sacrifice for Sikhi. Even if we have been told otherwise by our parents. I say this as a julaha. Neither jatt or Khatri - so no conflict of interest. Our real enemies are watching us. All this jatt v khatri nonsense. They would like nothing more than seeing the Sikhs divided. Don't give them an excuse.
