    These days every person says that the Jathedaar/baba of their group has been doing bhagti for decades and has the greatest bhagti. But How do we measure someone's bhagti? During Kharrku movement, there were many young Kharrku Singhs who were only doing nitnem and Gurbani paatth for few years but yet they gave shaheedi. On the other side, we hv/had these old babaas doing bhagti for decades but were/are still afraid of the government and some also become agents. I think bhagti only brings fruit if one has love and loyalty for Guru Sahib. Spiritual progress depends on Gur Prasad and Gur Prasad cannot happen without love and loyalty.

    That's the problem with the panth. Every person is busy defending and praising the Jathedaar or leader of their organization. Jathedaars or sant babas can make mistakes and sometimes serious mistakes. We hv got stuck with people in our mind and hv forgotten the Sifat Salaah of Waheguru ji and Guru Sahib ji in our minds.

    Santa Singh played a very negative role but he did get pesh before Akal Takht around 2002 before his death. All dal panth Jathedaars get up at 12 am and hv more than 6 hours of amritvela but still they could end up doing very wrong things. Only Guru Sahib is perfect.

    I don't want to name the Khatri Jathedaar and make him popular. Thing with bhappaas is if a fellow Khatri becomes Jathedaar or sant baba, bhappaas will do his praise as if he is even greater than Guru Sahib. When this Khatri Jathedaar died, bhappaas started saying that punj pyaras from sachkhand came to take our Jathedaar. Are these bhappaas brahmgyanis that they can see punj pyaras of sachkhand? Secondly, so many nice gursikhs do Akal Challaana every month or year, why don't bhappaas say the same about those gursikhs being taken away by punj pyaras?

    I completely agree. There was a Khatri Jathedaar. Khatri community used to say that there is no sikh like him on the planet. Whenever anyone tried to ask him about the need of khalistan, he used to say that no need to talk about khalistan, just read gurbani and khalistan will automatically come into existence. I think he was afraid that if he gave some views about khalistan, Indian agencies etc might get after him or keep an eye on him.

    I don't think the aroras and many Khatri castes of today hv some warrior background. Plus I don't hv info on all bhappa castes. But I don't need caste to identify a bhappaa. His behaviour is enough for me.

    I m not that knowledgeable on that. But I think good kirtaniyas hv been from different communities. Isn't it the bhappaas belonging to a jatha who hv changed the kirtan style and speak waheguru waheguru while singing gurbani? Isn't it Manmatt? Why the panth is tolerating It?

    I completely agree 100%. Simran and gurbani removes our fear and gives us strength to fight against injustice. A sikh who doesn't has fighting spirit means 2 things 1. Either his simran or bhagti is less. 2. Or he does bhagti for Maya purposes like many of our granthis and Sikhs of today do.

    I don't think aroras were ever some warrior caste. I feel lots of bhappaa castes of today were never some warriors. Even in jatts, grewals were originally rajputs but today are jatts. Many non jatts hv started using jatt surnames. So surnames and castes can be tricky.

    When talking about khalistan with fellow Sikhs, I hv heard many say that "bass gurbani parrho, khalistan apne aap bann ju" "Read gurbani and khalistan will automatically come into exitence" Is the above logic fine or is a sign of cowardice?

    Sadly no replies. We hv a great Granth called Gobind Gita which is yet to reach wider sikh Sangat. We give so many replies on other threads but Gurbani is the greatest thing on the planet and all Sikhs shud contribute in the parchar of Gobind Gita.

    I never said we shud align with Congress or Muslims. But shud we align with someone who does nindiya of Guru Sahib and Guru ji's itihaas? They say Guru Sahib worshipped devi or ram or shiv etc. Their mouth shud burn in he'll for saying that. Why can't we align with just Waheguru ?

    If we pick the side that calls us Hindus, won't we loose our niaaraapan?

    But Guru Gobind Singh ji clearly states "Jab lag khalsa rahe niaaraa, tab lab tej deuun main saaraa" "Jab eh gahe BIPRAN ki reet, main na Karun en ki parteet" If we side with hindutavis, we will loose the bharosa of Guru Sahib.

    My major problem with hindutavis is they attack our history and want to prove that Sikhs are keshadhari Hindus. I as a sikh will never hv any alliance with RSS Hindus.

    U can call it whatever you like. I don't hide my inner feelings. I don't hate bhappaas. I also don't do any harm to bhappaas. I just don't like many of their cultural traits and behaviour. My biggest problem with bhappaas is that they shud stop controlling panthic organizations. They hurt panth a lot by doing so. Other than that, I wish bhappaas good luck for their life journey.

    Bhappaas stretch it too far. Some years back, a bhappaa family had Sukhmani Sahib done in their house and Ardaas was done so that some Bollywood actor and actress could marry each other.
